Quick Eyes with Urban Decay Midnight 15 & Deeper

Quick Eyes with Urban Decay Midnight 15 & Deeper

This is one of the test looks I did when I first tested out Urban Decay’s 15th Anniversary Eyeshadow Palette that I forgot all about until now. I wanted to be sure to use Midnight 15, because while the glitter was subtle, it was there, so I wanted to see if had issues with fall out.  I tried to find a full-face photo, because I swore I took lip/cheek swatches of something (well, surely, I did, right? A day without lip swatches is a day without coffee – impossible!), but I was unsuccessful.

You will need the following…

For eyes, start by applying Smudgeproof all over the lid and above the crease with the 249 to lay down your eyeshadow base.  Apply Midnight 15 on the lower half of the lid with the 239, and then lightly sweep and diffuse Deeper  into the crease with the 222 and blend towards the lid.  Diffuse the crease edge with Trench eyeshadow using the 217.  Next, apply Underground eyeliner on the lower water line and lower lash line. Coat lashes with Film Noir mascara to finish the look.

this is the BEST palette i own and i have 20+ full mac palettes, all the book of shadows, ammo palette, and etc. these neutral colors are far better than the naked palette. this is the most beautiful palette i have, seriously, i would be fine if these eyshadows were the only ones i own. i rarely wear color so i was nervous about that.. but the colors in here are gorgeous and they look so lovely wet as liners with the neutrals or on the lower lash line. you should definitely get this palette!!

Hey, don’t feel bad – I’m supposed to be on a “no buy” but I’m heading out in about half an hour to pick this up! Some things are just too good to pass up and this palette is clearly one of them!

Lovely, easy look and I just got a call to say that the Sephora nearest to me has finally received this palette and they have one put aside for me! YAHOO!

Based on your comprehensive review here (and I have to say, your photos and swatches are THE BEST – so much better than those at the sites that actually SELL the products!), I know I’m going to LOVE it and I’m already hoping that UD will make some of the colours permanent.

This is so pretty for summer. I received my palette last week but don’t want to use it yet. I’ve just been staring at its beauty. lol.

I like it when you post a picture of your whole face too. It makes me appreciate a lot better how the makeup would look in real life.

Love the shade. Cannot wait – mine will be here tomorrow. I got a notice last week that it was back in stock and ordered mine ASAP. I am so sad to see UD not stocking but a very few of their MATTE shadows. Many are my fav shadows. I hope they don’t discontinue that part of their line and are maybe re-vamping shades. It’s my fav matte shadow of all time.

Christine, just wanted to say thank you for the all of the eye looks you post. I have so many shadows but so little imagination. I wind up just doing the same couple of things over and over. I finally took the time and started browsing through your eye looks posts and I got so many great ideas. I have slightly overhanging eyelids so the crease contrast colors and techniques don’t work as well for me as they do for you. In your close up shots, you appear to have perfectly shaped and lidded eyes. Lucky girl. But you did give me some great ideas for color combinations. Keep up the great posts!

This is such a work friendly look Christine, beautifully done. I adore UD shadows, I think it’s the best thing they do but I’m undecided on whether to buy the Anniversary palette.

I am not silly enough to ask myself “do I really need it” because I know the repetitive answer that little voice in my head comes up with.

There isn’t anything in the palette that compels me to buy it (yet).

Yay! I was hoping for a look from you for this palette and you did not disappoint, this is great! Any plans for another look? You rock, Christine 🙂

This is lovely. I think I tried something similar, but obviously I didn’t take the time to properly appreciate how great these two shadows look together.

I bought one today at sephora. I was so excited..until i noticed 4 shades were actually tilted? Instead of laying flat. 🙁 guess its time to order online.

this is so pretty Christine 😀 loved the look which is easy to wear and now am eying this palette badly … 😀 😀
what would you pair with this look ??
I mean lip color and blush ??

Beautiful! Christine, if you had to choose between this and the Naked palette which would you choose? The only thing that’s been holding me back from the Naked palette is my MAC 15 palette… which is so full of neutrals the divider has had to come out.

Got this FINALLY and cannot wait to try it out. Panicked when I got it home as I could not figure out how to get the darned thing OPEN (then I turned it over and the inner case slid out!). Will try this look as soon as I cool off (it’s a scorcher here AGAIN).
