Pucker Up: Glossy Raspberry Red

Pucker Up: Glossy Raspberry Red

Today’s lip look is simple and yet elegant–a play on the timeless red lip.

Starting with the epitome of luxe lips, begin by layering Guerlain Giovanna Rouge G Lipstick on lips with a stiff lip brush to ensure well-defined, clean color. Finish by adding a glossy sheen using Borghese Chianti B Gloss. The Chianti gloss plays down the copper shimmer and frost finish of Giovanna lipstick by adding a more raspberry color, but it doesn’t add so much darkness that it nullifies the red color of Giovanna.

See transformation

Step 1: Guerlain Giovanna Rouge G Lipstick

Step 2: Add Borghese Chianti B Gloss

Hi, Christine! I SO love your lips!! Just one question: I went on Guerlain Rouge G mini-website and couldn’t find the color “Giovanna”. Are you sure that’s the name of the lipstick you used? Is it “Gina” instead, maybe? Thanks!

Thats so gorgeous! Sometimes I’ll do a “lip look”, but I’m so dissappointed when is wears off! I’m definately more of an eye person!

LOVE it!! I even love the lipstick with no gloss so pretty, what a great color for u!!! I need a great berry or red but i’m pale tone with red under tone so I have a hard time pickin out reds for me

I love this cherry pinkish red concoction! I am always about layer different kinds of lip products, because traditionally I am I “lip girl,” and would go for nude eye and bold lips Only recently the last year or so I am trying more bold eye and nude lip looks. I look forward to this series every Tuesday.

Love these posts. Just one question/suggestion…could you maybe swatch the products separately(side by side)so we can see the gloss without the lipstick as well?
Thanks so much for this Tuesday treat. Now I have a reason to look forward to Tuesday, just gotta find one for Thursday & I’ll be set!

That is such a gorgeous combination! I love that gloss! I’m on the hunt for a good red gloss. When I went to mac they had no glittery purdy red glosses. Next time i’m at Sephora hopefully I’ll find one.
