What I liked: I found the eyeshadow strips to have pretty good pay off, with the browns giving the best intensity out of the bunch. The whites are quite shimmery for the most part, making them not the best highlighters (an overly white highlight with intense frost finish can look off on some). I think the lighter pink may work better as a more natural highlighter than the whites. I do like the variation in shades, and I do feel like you could get a few looks out of this – and definitely lighter/darker versions of the looks you do come up with.
What I didn’t like: Having them directly next to each other can make it easy to blend them together–which may or may not be something you like–but I hate having different color dust accumulate on my other shadows. It drives me bonkers! I also feel like there is a frost overload in this palette; I know they’re called Shimmer Strips, so that’s a definite tip-off, but it could have been a lower level shimmer. For instance, the browns have a pleasant shimmer finish, without being frosty, and I think this kind of finish would complement the skin of most people, especially in the lighter shades of pink/white.
Ooh that looks absolutely gorgeous. Do you think you would incorporate this into your looks?
Hey Faiza!
I probably wouldn’t, because these colors are SO frosty. I might use one or two shadows amongst some other more matte finishes, though.
ok no I will not get this product.
** CAN YOU ANSWER THESE TWO QUESTIONS PLEASE??**
1. are you going to depot yout beauty powder blushes?? Wondering, because I”m not sure if the formula is “satin” or “sheertone” and I dont know if can depot them as you get them or have to use them a few times before you depot so they can be more molded in to not being easy to be chipped ..lol sorry dont know the word I’m looking for.
2. do you think the heatherette lipstick with fit someone of warmer skin tones???
I seen these swatches and she has olive skin tone and “Fleshspot” and “melrose” look too cool on her..

sorry hopefully you get what I’m trying to say 🙂
thanks!!!! anyways for answering my questions I wont ask again since that was like my 3rd time asking in a comment…lmao.
Looks like a cheaper answer to a Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick
Good eye, Dee!
Very pretty and natural looking colors. I have never tried this brand, but I may have to check it out. Thanks!
Let me know what you think of it, Naomi, if you do!
I personally think its very cheap and yeahhhhh cheaper version of,kinda… Bobbi’s!!
Zzainy..
I didn’t even notice that the colors were similar! They are a little bit, but I think they’re being marketed differently, since this is specifically for eyes.
I picked up this palette last week, and wasn’t too impressed with the results. Its way too frosty, and I didn’t find the colours showed up enough on my very fair skin. The only two that were decent were the bottom 2 darker colours. As for it enhancing hazel eyes, I just think thats a marketing gimmick. My eyes looked just as hazel/green as they do with any other makeup colours. Def wouldn’t buy anymore along these lines from this company
I agree, very frosty, which makes it hard to wear. I think the colors can enhance eye color, slightly, but not that much more so.
I wouldn’t write the company off for one product though!
I use alot of physicians formula’s products, and love them. I just meant no more of these eyeshadows 🙂
Ohh, got it 😀
