Patrick Ta Monochrome Moment Velvet Blushes – Swatches

Patrick Ta Monochrome Moment Velvet Blush ($32.00 for 0.37 oz.) is a newer release from the brand (the first products I’ve tried); it’s a powder blush available in four shades that’s designed to have a “second-skin finish” with “flawless payoff” and a “luminous finish.”

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Because I know that these are meant to be buildable, I’m not too worried about the arm swatches…yet. She’s Adorable and She’s Seductive have my interest! Well, if they’re truly buildable, that is.

I really love the look of She’s Seductive. I’ve seen a couple reviews of these blushes and they seem slightly buildable, but it doesn’t build fast. I would think that the more it needs to be built, the more powdery my skin would look, so I don’t know that I’m too interested in purchasing. I am eager to see a dupe for She’s Seductive, though!

The arm swatches don’t do these blushes justice. They are so beautiful on the cheeks! Definitely have that really soft pigmentation that makes them blend really nicely and build well- perfect for my ultra fair skin.

These look sheerer and satiny which is my preferred formulation. I do not care for pigment heavy blushes. She’s Seductive and She’s Passionate would be my two choices.. While She’s Seductive would be most in tune with my tastes. Have to say, I’m curious

She’s Seductive looks like a hybrid of Surratt La Vie en Rose and La Rosee du Soir.. I have both which are near dupes in a palette and mix them all the time. So, yes, very much in line with what I wear 🥴. I’m incredibly good at picking out colours I already have in stash. Thank you Temptalia swatches.

These blushes are good if you only wanted a light colouring on your cheeks. I would hope that you can build them up, although as Celesta wrote above, it could leave you with a lot of powder on your cheeks.

I bought She’s Seductive because I loved the color before even swatching. I really do enjoy the formula, but I find myself having to use a dense brush and building it. However, it is very unique in my collection.

Swatches don’t do these justice–they just look chalky and awful. They have to be used on the face to bring out their beauty. They’re lightly pigmented, but they’re meant to be, so you can’t overdo these. When applied, the powder somehow melds with the skin and gives the most incredibly natural look with a bit of a glow (but no visible shimmer). I bought She’s Seductive with some trepidation, and love it so much that I got She’s Passionate. This is one of the most innovative products I’ve come across in a long time–a powder that looks like an utterly natural blush on the skin, which can be difficult to get even with a cream or stain, I’m shocked because I rarely use powder blush at all. They’re just beautiful.

I feel so dumb, but these blushes are absolutely beautiful and I wish I could nail down my thoughts on talc in makeup. I haven’t bought a product with talc in it for over ten years since I first started, and these are seriously tempting me. D: The colors all just look so beautiful, ahhh! Anyone else have any thoughts on talc?

For what it’s worth, I try to avoid talc. I figure there are enough carcinogens I don’t have control over, so may as well limit the ones I’m aware of. Honestly though, I sometimes forget to read the ingredients list fully if I’m buying something in person and the writing is really small.
