I wonder why she’s transitioning away from the baked Astral formula? These shades are beautiful (repetitive from other palettes) but they all seem to be the same ‘base’ with just different colors, as opposed to her previous mothership astrals that had a variety of textures.
I’m likewise left feeling quite confused as to what is going on with her brand, her odd decision to go very “basic” with the shade selection and with no more baked “special” shades. This looks like just another Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk palette to me!
Good question Paige I was wondering the same
Oh Mother Pat, what have you done? No more special baked shades? I didn’t mind it for the all metallic Decadence Mothership, but seriously, this is a letdown for the $128 hefty price point!
Nancy, hold on to your hat (if you’re wearing one) – this retails for $174 here in Canada. The colours are so much in the “no thank you” arena for me that even for $100 less – $74 – I wouldn’t buy this!
That’s SCARY expensive, Mariella! đŸ˜±
And especially for something that is this unimpressive and basic looking!
You know, five years ago I would have fallen head over heels for this palette. But now, after all of the similar iterations…
Oh wow – how novel, how new, how interesting…..more pink, red and orange eyeshadows in a palette. Not for me and so repetitive.
Swatches nicely, but I’m sure I have dupes for at least 9 of the 10 shadows.
I think at first PMG palettes were all super unique and interesting blends of colors. However, over the last year or so, most of the releases have been this warm pinkish color story. I love these colors, but I wonder why all of a sudden, this is all they seem to do. I think their target audience would be much more interested in more variety, I’m already bored by it. Their reputation should swing towards avant garde, unusual, and unique.
There’s a strong pinky brown theme here and a couple of the shades interest me – Copper Dawn (and I adore Pat’s copper shades), Hypnotic Bronze and the Astral Amethyst shades. I am sure it will rate well, but I think this palette is similar to many of the others that Pat has put out in the past few years, so it may be redundant to some.
Nothing to say except the mattes would make nice blushes but many blushes at a lower price point! It really is time for a new color story. I don’t dislike these shades but I have so many of them! I feel like a brand shake up is in order. We all have favorite shade ranges and I think we know PMGL’s favorites but someone needs to speak up and say hey, lets do something different this time around.
its so damn pink. very barbie-core I guess. but ugh. Looking at swatches only two shades (astral pink fetish and astral amethyst allure) are interesting to me but I’m sure the dupes will be good. Even on sale, this might be the first PMG palette I skip
I really understand the desire to have mass appealing, neutral pallets, i do. But it is just, there is so much room to play around neutral color stories, coldness/warmness, glitters shifts and textures, duochromes, some statement shades, etc. but why rerelease your love collection that all went on Sephora sale this summer already. She has just a few warm brown and cool neutral pallets, why not to experiment with them, just look at Natasha denona, so many people are excited for her next and literally brown and pink palette with just a bit of nuance and fresh look in comparison to this. Not to mention price point…
Exactly!
There are more neutrals to release, even if we chalk up all the rose-themed palettes as “mass appeal.”
So, I like one out of ten. Not that I dislike the other nine, but I have a gazillion shades like them.
The only one I do like is Astral Pink Fetish.
I’m honestly so bored with and by this brand that I used to be so excited for once upon a time.
They need to rethink their products, I think, or maybe there are so many fans of the brand that buy everything they release. Or there’s a need for the same colours all over again and again.
Anyway, yawn, I’m bored!
