Pat McGrath Divine Glow Highlighter Swatches

Pat McGrath Divine Glow Highlighter

Pat McGrath Divine Glow Highlighter is a new, single highlighter formula available in four shades. One shade was previously released in a limited edition trio (Venus Nectar). Worth noting: three of the four shades arrived broken, despite being packed well and having a layer of bubblewrap around each (they are in the process of being replaced!).

Once again a highlighter release where the lightest shade is way too damn dark for truly fair skintones. Also, is anyone else kind of sick of the neopolitan ice cream options of pink, gold, and bronze? Who decreed those to be the standards for shades anyway?

It’s one of the reasons I’ve switched to indie brands. Great products and they’re on the cutting edge instead of following the pack.

Apocalyptic Beauty, for example, has traditional highlighter shades but also highlighters in white, green, blue, violet, yellow (a LE one I picked up), red, silver, and orange.

Lunar Allure isn’t actually pink at all. It’s a pale cool toned beige that actually works for my NW10 skintone but I didn’t keep it bc not only did it arrive broken but it’s a glitter bomb. It’s just full of tiny iridescent micro-glitter and I can’t stand glitter in highlighters.

My Lunar Allure came broken as well! To PM’s credit, their customer service rushed a new one to me right away, but that also came broken! Slightly less broken than the first one, so I just packed it into the pan and I’m crossing my fingers for the best.

Same here. I ordered 3 of the 4 because I already have Venus nectar. However, one came broken, despite the same wrapping materials as you stated, Christine. I’ve already contacted customer service. This is the third order from PMGL that something has come broken.

that really sucks. personally/luckily, i’ve only had one or two orders from PMGL that have arrived broken but at least their customer service is usually pretty good. I find that the actual shipping companies are more at fault for arrival of damaged goods. have you seen glaminatrix cosmetics’ instagram video/reel where they’re testing packaging by literally kicking it to one of their team members doors? it was hilarious but also an unfortunate reality/possibility

I have a feeling, from reading the responses above, that there is something very wrong with their production process that nearly everyone’s highlighters arrived in a broken state – not what you’d expect from such a high end brand, costing lots of $$$. They really shouldn’t break when they have been bubble wrapped.
As to the shades – they are pretty and no doubt look lovely, but I think the shade range is limited and nothing for truly fair toned folk.

I bought Lunar Allure and while the color seemed ok for my NW10 skintone, I was really disappointed to see it’s chock full of tiny iridescent micro-glitter. Mine also arrived broken and it’s been an ordeal getting the situation resolved. I won’t order from the PMG site ever again.

Unfortunately every time a formula is this super soft you’re going to end up with a lot of broken in transit issues. Notice it even in her Motherships when there is one or two super soft formulas. You’ll see a ton of posts about that specific shade shattering. But I’ve noticed that with other brands also. Probably doesn’t help when it’s been insanely hot in much of the country….and well…the delivery companies often don’t have the most cautious of carriers 😂. If you want them it might be best to buy in-store….and check it at the counter before leaving. Not an option for the one shade that appears to be exclusive to her site though.
