Pat McGrath BlitzTrance Lipsticks (Summer 2019) | Swatches
For summer, there are nine new shades of Pat McGrath BlitzTrance Lipstick ($38.00 for 0.13 oz.) that launched earlier this week. They’re available in a new finish, creme, with a “fierce flash of shimmer” (as opposed to the more glittery/sparkly BlitzTrances we saw originally). Here are swatches of the nine shades…

With such a small collection, I expected more variety of colours.
I love Pat’s lipsticks, I have a multitude of them. I can definitely feel the difference when I use her lip products, with the length of wear, pigment and just the feel of them on my lips. My husband rarely comments on my lips but he has when I wear her products so it’s not just my imagination. Thanks for the swatches Christine I’m loving these colours.
The swatches look pretty good, but I still think (even more so now) that quite a few lippies look the same.
Blood Rush is gorgeous!
For me, it may be a toss-up between Lady Stardust and Naked Kiss. Kind of prefer Lady Stardust since it may just be an easier to wear pink for me. *Maybe*.
As much as I LOVE that molton lava red of Blood Rush, I’d be worried that I have a dupe around here somewhere, and that it might turn a freaky pinky-red like the other one did on me!
I will have to check these out. I have 3 of her earlier, glittery BlitzTrance hippies that I rarely wear, but I like the finish of these!
I agree with the others that so many look the same! Thank goodness for your swatches…it’s so hard to tell from her website sometimes. :o)
Also surprised at how similar they are — I wonder if any of the paler ones would be a dupe for Urban Decay Rebel. The one I have my eye on is Flesh 3 — wow, that’s gorgeous, and I honestly (really!) don’t have anything like it.
These look gorgeous. A lot of the shades look similar, but I suspect they’re for different skin tones. Blood Rush, Flesh 3, and Love Train are stunning.
Am I reading your mind today? 🙂
You picked out my three favourites.
I agree that the lipsticks are for different skintones and/or depending on your own lip colour.
I’m so looking forward to reviews and most of all, dupes.
Lippie sisters! 🙂
Yes!
We’re triplets because those are the three that I liked most too. They are the most vibrant ones. I have non-metallic Tom Ford dupes for 2 out of 3. But there isn’t really a good dupe for Flesh 3. Skin Flixx is also growing on me. It looks like a real neutral and the metallic finish makes it more wearable for me than most nudes which can easily wash me out.
Welcome to the lipstick sisters! 🙂
Nudes are so hard to find, I don’t know how many I tried until I found some that are OK, none of them have any shimmer or is metallic, something that makes nudes easier to wear, I guess. Skin Flixx is pretty.
Going to keep a close eye on the reviews for this!
Oh wow, they are so similar to me.
I agree with Rachel that the similarities are likely related to undertone and what would look best on different toned skin and hair. I can’t wear any shade that light anyway so luckily not a concern for me. I love the formula and so likely will be picking up at least two and maybe three. I am for sure getting Flesh 3 and probably Love Train and maybe Blood Rush. Blood Rush depends on whether my monitor is accurate or not. It is looking a bit “orange” red which is not a tone I can wear. Hopefully, my monitor is just wrong which has been the case in the past. All things considered, I could probably throw out about 150 lipsticks and just keep my PML lippies, Guerlain, MAC, Bite, CT and YSL and be very happy.
They’re too similar. Pass. And Pat is overhyped
If I needed another red, I’d get Blood Rush. I don’t. 🙂
Very pleased to see that these are all quite a lot more pink than I like my lipsticks to be. I always want to buy more PMG lipsticks, but my wallet really prefers I don’t.
Emmanuelle and Lady Stardust are both really pretty but at $60-63 AUD I’ll definitely be checking the dupes list when/if your reviews are posted!
Thank you for doing swatches of these lipsticks, Christine! The lip swatches are particularly helpful! It’s so hard to tell what these are going to look like without actually seeing them on someone! I’m leaning towards Flesh 3 and Skin Flixx! I own Flesh Fatale, and absolutely love that color on me!
