Nordstrom

At the top it says buy 2 get 1 free and further down it says buy 3 and get one free , so which is it? The store clerk told me when I bought it 4 months ago that the sale would be buy 2 and 1 would be free!

If you purchase two, the third one is free. Nordstrom’s official text is “Pick 3 mascaras, get 1 of them free.” Note: “get 1 OF them free” – this implies one of the three is free, not that you have to purchase 3 and then you’ll get a 4th one free. Hope that helps!

Until your comment, I haven’t thought about Stendahl in years and years. It used to be in a lot department stores. I think Saks and Nordstrom used to carry it. I was wondering whether it was making some kind of come back, and that’s why I asked my question.

Oh. When I think of mascara, I always think of a Stendahl. I bought it in high school in the 80’s for 15 bucks or so. Not cheap. I only bought the midnight blue shade. The nearest one is Giorgio Armani….old version. It smells very similar to Stendahl. I don’t wear mascara much anymore. I did tell someone to get me three from Paris if she finds it. Stendhal is sold online, international order. The last time I saw Stendahl in the US was in a specialty drugstore in San Ramon, Ca where they sold all kinds of unique makeup. I never tried the lipstick. Old brands like this lets me reminisce about the simple life when I was a teenager.

Non-responsive comment. I really want to try a low end: Heroine Make. It has been a rager for years. Used to like Blinc, bec love tubing, but the quality has gone downhill, and the wiper sphincter (everything I say sounds wrong, but ykwim.) has gotten stuck in the cap a few times. Arrrgh. Just ordered an eyeko from Ulta. (That order got me >500 points…and I think a free Mod Ren will be mine. How yay!). Right now I have no HG. None of the samples wow me. To me, virtually every mascara is a 4/5, and none ring my bell.

Getting great results using Lancome CILS Lash Booster XL primer with Shiseido Perfect Mascara Full Definition mascara together.

I liked Dior but recently find it clumpy towards the 10 week mark. I’ve been trying to get myself to pull the trigger on the sale, but man they’re just too expensive to play mascara roulette with!

I like GA eyes to kill but I recently bought UD Perversion, Covergirl and a sample of Better than Sex. BTS is amazing but I’m a raccoon late in the day and it’s hard to get off. I liked Perversion but honestly the cOvergirl is very good and doesn’t flake even on lower lashes. I use Dior primer with all.

Seems like drugstore is good as the high end or at least very close. I’d like to try Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir but Nordy doesn’t have it.

I love a deal but I also have a bunch of samples. So stlil thinking on it.

Of the three I bought last year during Nordstrom’s mascara sale, I’d rank them as #1 Chanel Le Volume, #2 Guerlain’s Maxi Lash, and #3 Armani’s Eyes to Kill. I would repurchase Chanel Le Volume and Guerlain’s Maxi Lash, but not Armani’s Eyes to Kill.
