Hi Bunga,
I was actually going to ask Christine the same thing. Companies seem to be really jumping on the contour/bronzing palette bandwagon. One of these has to fail sooner or later. I’d really (really) love to see a shade similar to Chanel Ombré Contraste in Notorious in (at least!) one of them. That shade is gorgeous. I’ve been trying to duplicate it since I first heard about it. I have not seen it in person, but Sleek Cosmetics has a blush/contour in Antiqued that looks very similar. Does anyone know if it’s at least somewhat close? I’d be very interested. Do you have it, Christine?
Merry Christmas, sweetie. You make so many people happy with your blog and YOU. Hugs!

I agree with you about Christine! 🙂 As for the sleek question, if you find swatches of your chanel and keep that held, then just google seatches of the contours from sleek which are exceptionally nice from what I’ve heard, you can easily compare them and see if one is close enough to satisfy you! Also, sometimes asking the exact question in google shows immediate results due to other people asking the same thing! 😀 Hust an idea I wanted to share to try and help you find answers! 🙂 Good luck! I’m still trying to find the difference between the charlotte tilbury film star glow one and the MAC Rocky Horror Contour/Emphasize one! I have the latter, but I’m really lemming the Charlotte Tilbury since it’s release and I wish I could find out if I do need it or not! 🙂 Merry Christmas wishes to you and all! Beauty-full dreams!

Thank you, Christine and Lotus! I wish that I had the Chanel one to compare. That’s part of the problem. LOL. I have googled for a dupe, but have not had any luck as of yet. With so many shades released since the Chanel one was, there has to be something close? I would hope.
Maybe I’ll get lucky someday and hear about something very similar.
Merry Christmas to both of you.

There is one available at Laura Mercier counters for fair colored skin. All of the proceeds of the cost of the palette go toward ovarian cancer research. I have it and it’s fantastic and easy to use!

I am under underwhelmed. Plus, it’s a sephora exclusive and I’m not happy with their service. At all. Please, can you stop that “Mixify” music ad? No cookies are blocked and I feel I’m getting attacked! O.O! 🙂

Lotus Avatar

Oh, Amy! *Hugs* It is terrifying! I am NEVER investing in that cc whatever Mixify! I also felt bugged and guessed I was alone and targeted for fun! Lol! Thank you! I contacted Chrisfine with the image and info and a specific process has to take place in irder for it to stop so we just need to be patient. I have NO idea what it is or why! I just hope that thus site IS NOT hurt! With the Internet scams and hijacking, North shore a and Sony, etc., I start to wonder! Stay safe, Temptalia! It’s worth putting up with. (For now 😉 )

Lotus Avatar

Exactly. It’s not something usual for you here. So how did it get here? That’s what concerns me. But if you say it’s safe and you’re safe, all good, just a thing to be rid of, I will trust that. 🙂

It’s about time for more options at a darker skin tones demographic.. But just this ONE alone is not enough to qualify as equal distribution and choices for all. I’m so sorry about that for everyone of you with beautiful darker skin! And it’s not just this, but racial injustice that makes me cry.

These are way too deep and yellow-toned to work on my complexion, but if it the picture is accurate, it may be useable on darker skin tones, which is something the market is lacking. I should really get around to buying some of her products – I’ve yet to pick up a single one despite the raves!

This looks like it’s going to be a perfect combo for darker skintones. To have a highlighting/contouring palette with everything one may need geared for darker skintones and accessible to most in the US is kinda rare. So, this is great! Although I’ve been intrigued by contouring, the thought of finding the right colors was too daunting of a task. For one, you would have to pick a darker color from one cosmetic line and hope it doesn’t end up looking dirty or muddy. Next, you would have to pick a lighter tone from some other line and hope it wouldn’t look too white or shimmery. Who has time for that? So, contouring had definitely fallen off the grid for me. But this product here? This seems to be worth it in terms of quality (I mean, Laura Mercier, c’mon) and value (everything you may need in one container for dark skin, unheard of). Thank you, Christine, for featuring this.

I’m confused about how highlight 2 is considered a highlight… I suppose it’d have to be very very sheer, however I’m excited for this palette and can’t wait to see swatches.

I have fair skin and bought this with a Sephora gift card after the Anastasia Beverly Hills palette was out of stock to try out. When I pulled it out of the box I thought I would look like one of those Oompa Loompa bad tan girls.
Luckily, the colors are very sheer, blend very well and build.
I used a few very soft sable brushes, light application and blended well.
I used my cheap Loreal 2/1 primer foundation underneath, and my drugstore loreal concealer.
I like a natural look, and it gave me that.
I’ll try it again in full daylight.

great as a pro pallete, or collective item, but an individual would only use 2 of the colors. one contour and one highlighter. the rest is a waste..
