Natasha Denona Retro Palette Swatches

Natasha Denona Retro 15-Pan Small Eyeshadow Palette

($65.00) is a new, smaller eyeshadow palette with 15 shades across a mix of shimmers, cream-powders, and mattes. I wish I had these swatches for you sooner, but my package was quite delayed. I hope to review as soon as I can!

If this had an equal # of greens, as did the mini, I’d be in serious trouble. Seeing the swatches, I know I can resist. I’ve actually hit pan in the mini.

Swatches are great, except maybe Amara.
Fully expect this to rate A- or higher, the performance seems there.
I’m still on the fence with this palette though. I barely touch my cranberry palette. Those tones make me look like an underslept rabbit. I see myself using maybe 8 of these shadows, so it’s probably worth it if it’s on discount.

Also, there are 3 repromotes from Lila – Nude Mauve, Helio, and Amara. I have barely touched those shades in that palette.
I really shouldn’t get this palette but probably will. It’s so pretty abd im a sucker for anything Natasha Denona. Her shadows are just wonderful. Maybe I can find a way to make them work…

I’m glad you finally got it! I picked it up on app-only-access day because it’s the first Natasha Denona palette that’s grabbed me, and it’s BEAUTIFUL. I’m looking forward to playing with it more.

I already own the Sunrise and the Divine Rose and Huetopian Dream so Im good with my selection of Roses, Pinks, Oranges. And I also indulged in all 3 of your collabs with Sydney Grace and I love the inclusion of blues and greens and plums in them !
I cannot think of any reason I would need to purchase this palette or any other eye palette in the near or distant future!

I think this is a gorgeous looking palette with all the lovely rose themed shades. Although there are too many cranberry shades for me, I do like some of the more subtle shades like Hello. As I have the UD Naked 3 and Smashbox’s Petal Metal, I am truly covered with those shades. But this is very pretty.

Oh, I have a lot to say about this palette. I was a little kid in the 60’s, all the shade NAMES are direct references to that era, but the color story most definitely is NOT. Cannot help but feel a little salty at the lack of TRULY retro tones from that historic time of change. Never saw my Mom, Aunts, older cousins, or anyone else wearing deep plums, burgundies or red toned eyeshadow back then! It was usually frosty or matte blues, greens, white, silver, beige, brown, with an occasional peach or pink. Opart ought to have been a mind-bending multi-chrome, Psychodelic does not fit a baby pink, IMHO.

Looking at this makes me want the Lila palette…. I just can’t see paying 129 for it since she has come out with the $65 palettes.. however I still love my Gold, Sunset and Biba- I purchased the Bronze palette and I love that one as well… I think my favorite is the Gold.. I am covered on the cranberry colors.. and with Divine Rose 1- I think I have the cool mauves – they are not really my thing.. however since Lila is being discontinued.. I am hoping she comes out with a new purple palette 🙂
