Oooooh I can’t wait to play with these brushes in person!
I can see a few that I would be interested in, but pretty expensive/out of my budget!
Nice brushes, I want them all 🙂
I want them all ! NARS brushes are my favorites. I(ve got 3 of them : 1 for the face and 2 for the eyes, they are perfect 🙂
I haven´t tried NARS brushes in general and I don´t know if I´m actually weird, but they look scratchy to me. Some look okay but others just seem cheap, however I´m intrested in reading the first reviews so the brushes might surprise me.
The last thing I need is more brushes, but, PRETTY!
need the contour brush in my life
Thanks for the detailed post
Christine, do you know if this includes the Ita brush? I see something like it in one pic but not in the other. From what I know it was discontinued, are they bringing it back?
Hi Dana,
All of the brushes listed are the ones that NARS included in the press release! I don’t have any other info!
I was wondering that as well! Been looking for that brush. Was glad to see it in the larger pic but maybe it’s a red herring.
I believe the Contour brush #21 is the Ita brush.
There were 2 Itas – 21, and 28. Looks like only 21 is making it back, but it’s the one mostly commonly referenced when people ask for the Ita anyway.
I read elsewhere that the Contour Brush isn’t the Ita, rather the angled face brush pictured…
Correct.
It was never discontinued, just sold out and out of stock due to popular demand.
It’s back in stock. I ordered mine online from Nordstrom and received it yesterday.
I definitely see a couple brushes I want! It would be nice if they came to Sephora so I can catch them on sale lol
Elegant but stupid expensive.
Isn’t that the Yachiro brush?
*gasps* Brushes… my weakness… I see so many that I want….
As much as I adore NARS cosmetics, even I can’t justify the cost…
I’ve heard good things about that very rectangluar contour brush – I thought it was discontinued, but maybe they’re bringing it back!
It wasn’t.
The Ita brush is available again now at Nordstrom. I ordered mine online.
I’m surprise they are just now expanding their brush line. I hope they are good quality. As if I need any more brushes!
That blush brush is super tempting! I won’t be buying these since I already have enough brushes but these look beautiful!
The blush brush looks nice, however I’m not as attracted to these brushes as I am to, say, the Make Up For Ever pro brushes with the dark wooden handles.
So is the rectangular contour brush and yachiyo brush included in this?
I’m just the messenger – the brushes listed are the ones launching in the Artistry Brush collection!
#11!!!!! I love to watch Shaaanxo on youtube and she always uses this brush to contour. She absolutely loves this brush, and I love to see the way her contour goes on every time she applies it. She just recently made a video and mentioned this brush and she wished they still had it but they don’t. She mentioned trying to duplicate it since she has her own line of brushes. And now today I’m reading that NARS is coming out with it………..I’m so excited to get this brush!! Can’t wait!!
Almost twenty years ago, I started my brush collection with three of the Trish McEvoy brushes. Then each year, I added one new brush type in spring, and one in fall. They cost a lot, like these do. Good brushes cost big money, a I haven’t found any way around that.
I still have that same brush collection, and still use them most every day. I keep them clean, shaped and upright in a holder. I have never regretted buying them, not for a second. And each day, they are a joy to use.
I think brushes are THE most important component of any individual’s makeup collection. I would love to see a brush round-up story sometime, with brushes ranked!
So excited! they look phenomenal (as do most things in press releases) and I can’t wait to play with them once they hit counters! Ahh!
I will definitely be checking these out in person!
I’m looking forward to your reviews of these, Christine. 🙂
The new brushes are scheduled to launch on 4/1. It was also communicated that there are production issues with the Ita brush and won’t be in store (I work at Nordstrom) until around the end of May 🙁
The most I’ve spent for brushes are those sigma ones….but I feel like I’m ready to make the plunge haha. I’ve been lemming a new cheek and contour brush for awhile. These look quite nice. Hopefully they are in person.
I have three NARS brushes: the push eyeliner (great for pressing powder eyeshadow unto lash line las an eyeliner- I love using NARS coconut groove), the smudge brush (awesome for smokey eyes and smudging liner) and the Yachiyo Brush (my favourite brush for applying very pigmented blushes and I also use it to apply my highlight. You do need to be careful when washing not to wet the handle etc. I’m afraid it will unravel so I am very cautious).
Its in stock on Bloomingdales!! just ordered
