Most Comfortable Liquid Lipstick
What's the Most Comfortable Liquid Lipstick that you've tried?
Guerlain’s new, limited edition formula they came out for this holiday season was surprisingly good. Most of the time I didn’t even know I had it on.
Thanks to Lisa for today’s topic!

I love the new formula for the Kat Von D everlasting liquid lipsticks. The original formula was pretty comfortable, but slightly tight. The new ones I can hardly feel on my lips, and it lasts SO long. I want all of the colors!!!
Jeffree Star, Ofra, and Nyx Liquid Suede Cream.
I am dying to try the Nyx Velvet Suede Cream formula!
Liquid suede is great, but all the shades don’t dry down all the way. I don’t mind that, since they’re so comfortable and I love the colors. Stone Fox and Vintage are epic.
That’s exactly why I’m dying to try it, LoL! I have a horrible habit of biting dryed up bits of lipstick off my lips, especially mattes, just regular mattes. Sometimes even an Amplified or satin will get those weird clumpy, dry areas, and I’ll do it then too.
I think you’ll love them, then!
Ofra Cosmetics liquid lipsticks! I only have 2 shades, but hope to get more in the near future 🙂
If you use Ipsy, keep an eye out. They’ve had a couple sales on the Ipsy for sets of 4 full sized shades for $20 US, and free shipping. I’ve bought two of the sets and I love all the colors.
I agree, Christine. Normally I don’t care much for liquid lipstick as the dry down formulas always leave my lips feeling parched after a day of use. Ditto for matte formulas. This new LE from Guerlain; however, took me by surprise. It did not dry my lips, was forgiving of my lip lines, and had a soft glow rather than flat matte finish. I could wear it all day and my lips were none the worse for wear. Bravo Guerlain!
The Ofra brand is very comfortable. There is some color transfer, but they last longer than regular lipsticks and don’t suck the life out of your lips. They always have a coupon code – 50% off right now for Black Friday.
I also just tried the sephora cream liquid lipsticks. I have #13 and like it.
I tried one Stila and hated it.
I was never drawn to liquid lipsticks until I bought the Guerlain and I’m hooked! Do you know what the difference is between this formula and the liquid lipstick Guerlain makes that comes in the packaging similar to Rouge G? Wonder if we’ll be seeing any more colors of the LE formula in the future. . . .
OFRA Miami Fever by Kathleen Lights & Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipsticks are good as well ..
I’ve tried : LimeCrime, Kat Von D, The Balm Meet Matte, Dose of Color, LA Spalsh & Anastaisa Beverly Hills.
I was very shocked that I had to layer Kat Von D 3 times so it stays through out drinking a cup of water!
But I must admit that Anastaisa Beverly Hills were by far the worest kind out there!
I never throw away makeup and try to work it out in any way possible, but Anastaisa Beverly Hills liquid lipsticks were so bad I had to throw them away.
I love the Bourjois Velvet Edition formula.
The Balm meet matte hughes!
Totally agree! Beats them all out!
I’m not sure if Dior Addict Fluid Stick is considered a gloss or a lipstick (to me, it wears like a lipstick), but I love it, either way. I’m not a fan of matte lipsticks, so I love that it’s glossy and pigmented, yet still has long wear. I just wish it was available in more colors. I’m super pale and cool-toned, so a lot of the shades are either too bright, too dark, too pale, or too yellow-toned for me to wear. I wish they’d come out with a good selection of mid-tone mauves, pinks, and rose shades.
The YSL oil tint, in peach me love.
It’s so moisturising. The colour is visible, natural, and long-lasting. It’s so light weight. It’s shinny, but I can reduce the shine to make it look less glossy, and more natural.
Almost no colour transfer, it tints the lips, it’s kiss proof, and it makes my lips look like real baby lips.
It smells tropical fruits !
Love it. It’s my HG MLBB product.
Life’s Entropy probably has my favourite liquid lipsticks. I have heard they bleed/feather but I personally haven’t noticed on my lips. They are super comfortable to me (for a liquid lipstick on a person who has dry lips). My favourite colours are catalyst and crystal violet (which looks awesome layered under that UD purple lipgloss sample Sephora had as a 100 points perk. I think it’s called bittersweet). I’ve been eyeing her new matte theories in Variable and Infinity. Look so pretty
The Sephora Cream Lip Stains for sure. they do wear down fast than some in this formula range, but I forget I’m wearing them as well.
Jeffree Star and Kat Von D. Hands down, no question.
Christine, are you planning on reviewing Jeffree Star’s lipsticks?
Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro
I haven’t tried all that many, mainly because all the drugstore ones have been really “meh” and I don’t have the budget for the higher end ones, so the Sephora Cream Lip Stains are my jam.
Kat Von D. Now, I’ve only tried hers and Stila’s, but the Stila made my lips peel and looked cracked. Kat Von D’s wear all day and look good the whole time.
I like the kat von d one a lot but honestly I don’t mind so much if the formula is a little dry (like the colourpop ones) — the mattress and the color payoff is totally worth it for me
**matteness lol
LOL! I looked at the word ‘mattress’ and I though – well, there’s another beauty word I don’t know LOL!
As I have only tried several sample size liquid lipsticks, therefore I am NO expert. However, there are a few that I’ve heard great things about! The LE Guerlain lipstick that you mentioned above, numero uno! I hope more shades of this formula are in the offing. The Nyx Velvet Suede lipsticks have good things being said about them, too. Both on here, as well as by a few Ulta SA’s I’ve spoken with. So definitely worth a try!
Out of all the ones I’ve tried (Jeffree Star, KVD, ColourPop, Lime Crime, LASplash) definitely the Jeffree Star ones. I love the applicator on them too.
Estee Lauder Pure Envy Lip Potion. It’s not a dry down matte formula but it is wonderfully moisturising and the pigmentation is amazing.
kat von d’s they stay put all day, even after a meal! and they don’t feel too dry on the lips
I’ve not been a big fan of liquid lipsticks but clearly, I need to give this new one from Guerlain a try. Til now, I think I’ve only tried Too Faced Melted (does that count as “liquid”) and was as unhappy with the colour as I was with the whole thing. I’ve been tempted to try Fig and one other of the newer shades but, like I said, the whole experience wasn’t a great one so I haven’t bothered. But all these positive comments about Guerlain have me wanting to try it.
Kat Von D, no contest. Nyx is pretty good, too.
I swear I’m the only person that is not a fan of Jeffree star lipsticks. I was so excited and bought a bunch and they all have a super strong chemical smell and bleed out on my lips. It makes me sad. You better believe I’ll still rock Androgyny though! That color is gorgeous. My favorites lately have been colourpop lippies and OCC lip tars. I love the smell and the way they feel on my lips.
The only Jeffree Star I’ve had bleed on me is Unicorn Blood. I definitely need primer and lipliner with that one.
Ciate London Liquid Velvet. I was so impressed the first time I put it on. It’s very matte, not drying or runny. There’s not much of a feel to it once it’s on, so I kept checking it in my compact because I was worried it wasn’t there. Definitely my favorite!
Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet
I heard people loved the Guerlain, I haven’t tried it yet!
I love my Bourjois Aqua Lacque in Rose de Miel, it last surprisingly well on my lips that typically eat lipstick!
I really like KVD’s Everlasting Love formula because it dries mostly transfer-proof yet doesn’t suck all the moisture out of my lips. I also like Pretty Zombie Cosmetics’ formula, though they do transfer more (but then that’s what makes them less drying).
I really like The Balm. I only have one, but want to get more.
Jeffree Star Cosmetics are by far my favorite. Not drying at all. Also the NYX Liquid Suedes are pretty good.
