I have a tiny sample size of Pillow Talk, so perhaps there's a difference between the sample and the full size. I was so excited to get the sample, but the color is not at all what I expected. On Charlotte Tilbury's website it is described as a "dreamy pink nude," and Sephora calls it simply a "pink nude." The pictures included on those two sites make it appear somewhat cool toned or at least not aggressively warm. But on me, it appears VERY warm toned. If I apply a light layer, I'd say it looks like a warm pink. If I apply it a little more heavily, it comes out as almost a bright coral. Not only is it not "pink," it's not a "nude," either. Admittedly I am very fair, so a a lipstick that is "nude" for people with light-medium to medium skin is going to pull much darker on me, but the almost coral warmth of this shade was a surprise based on how it is described. The texture is very nice. It does give a bit of a smoothing effect on my lips. It has a slight slip when first applied but seems to dry out a bit during wear. It's not moisturizing but not excessively drying. After a day of wear I feel that my lips could use a balm but not completely parched either. It lasts through sipping and light snacks but is gone after an actual meal. It does last longer with a lip liner in a similar shade underneath. The sample lipstick has a light sweet vanilla scent that is very reminiscent of the MAC lipstick vanilla scent. I personally like the scent but YMMV. The 3 stars is more for the confusion on shade description.
