It looks like a deep shade in the pan, but during the application, it is sheer and fades easily. I have to keep building and retouching it. I find the formula dry compared to the other shades in the palette and if I blend it out it looks pinkish on my skin.

I use this shade to highlight the inner corner of my eyes, however, I find it to flat to be a good highlight shade. So usually I apply it over a sticky base (light, creamy eye pencil) so it shows up brighter. I also tried it as a base shade after eye primer, but it really emphasizes the skin texture and gives me a reptile, flaky look.

I would say this is my favourite shimmery bronzer so far. I love everything about it. Finally, a shade which doesn't look orange or red on my skin, but gorgeous golden. The formula is beautiful, you can control the intensity, as it is very buildable. It gives a very natural, beautiful shimmery finish, a healthy glow. Also, I think it is pale-skin friendly.

I have a combination skin which is prone to redness and dries out quickly. I purchased this foundation because swatching the shade Almond looked a perfect match to my skin tone, also most people found it moisturizing. My skin doesnt like it at all. The first time I tried with a soft kabuki brush it looked terrible, especially on my forehead, nose and cheeks. My skin looked flaky, very badly. I tried to use it with a wet sponge, I had the same result. I mixed it with facial oil, Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow primer, Tarte Radiance drops, moisturizer, but it looked flakey no matter what. Whenever I feel my skin is nice and hydrated I give it a go again with a flat foundation brush or sponge extremely gently, but the finish is powdery and flaky. I have no idea why it doesn't work. The shade is perfect, I've never found a matching shade before and I cant use it. Otherwise, I found the texture creamy, rather than watery and it is easy to blend. I like the packaging, too. In a thinner layer, I would say the coverage is a weaker medium, but buildable.

I received this product when I placed my very first Tarte order. What I first noticed, the matte shades were really soft and powdery, but during the application, they were gorgeous, easy to apply and blend. So with these shades, you definitely need to be careful and touch them gently with your brush. The pigmentation is surprisingly high what I really love that the simmers are gorgeous. I only had drugstore eyeshadows before and apart from one brand, I wasn't satisfied with the shimmery shades in general. I mean, most of the time I didn't have that smooth, wet-looking, water-like shimmer I expected. In this palette, I noticed the difference in quality. The shimmers are beautiful and I don't have to layer them 10 times to get the impact. The mattes are intense and well put together. You get the base, the transition and the crease shade. And then you've got a highlighter and a mid-tone shimmer plus a deeper one to have fun with. Really nice palette, you can have a daytime subtle look or go for a more dramatic or glam. Also, really small palette, great for travelling.
