In my quest to find the perfect primer, I came across this oil based one and picked it up at a sale at CVS. About my skin: Fair-Neutral, Dry, Sensitive, Some fine lines and wrinkles. I enjoy using face oils and I was excited to try this primer out. it was easy to dispense and apply (with my fingers). The challenging part is to know when to apply your foundation. If you do it before it has adequately absorbed, your foundation will slip and slide and end up one big hot mess. It’s best to apply your foundation with a beauty blender or sponge with this primer. My skin did not have a negative reaction to the primer. The scent is minimal. I did enjoy how it treated my dry skin (plumping it up) however, somewhere around the 6 hour mark, I started to notice that I have dry patches on my cheeks.

If you’re looking for an primer that stays in place, grips on to your eyeshadow, and is budget friendly...the Wet n Wild Photo Focus Eyeshadow Primer will meet your expectations. Its three star is reflective of the fact that it doesn’t do anything to cancel out the discoloration that you may want to get rid of. I’ve applied this with my finger, with a sponge and with a brush. I didn’t notice any difference in performance.

About my skin: Fair Neutral, Dry, Sensitive, Some lines and wrinkles. About my history with blush: since I hit 50, most powdered blushes do not perform well on my skin. They either don’t last or they’re very drying. The diffused heat from Hour Glass was an item in one of my subscription boxes. I almost gave it away because it did not look like it would go with my coloring. I’m glad I tried it out. I’ve applied it several different ways and I’ve yet to be disappointed. If I want a nice airbrushed look, I use a big fluffy brush. If I want to have a bit of color pop, I use a velour puff. I’ve had absolutely zero issues with this product. It doesn’t cause any skin irritation and the staying power is strong.
