I purchased this after seeing some photos on IG of a beauty vlogger I follow. I did feel that $16.00 for a drug store brand foundation was a bit much, but after trying the product I would say it is worth it. I feel like it is a medium coverage product that is definetly buildable. The Clay 1 was the lightest shade they offered and it did oxidize on me a little, getting darker. So when I do use it, I blend it with one of my Loreal True Match foundations. The finish is demi-matte and I do have to set it with powder because I have combo skin. By the end of an eight hour day I do feel oily in my T-zone, but I don't look oily. Overall I would say this is a good product, it provides great buildable coverage, and a nice finish. I do wish it came in a greater shade range so I wouldn't have to mix foundations.
This was the first e.l.f. product I purchased. My sister had it and it looked good on her so I figured I would give it a try. It is supposed to be a dupe for NARS Orgasm and Laguna. Not having tried either of those I can not attest to that. But for 3 bucks this is a great product. Both the bronzer and blush are buildable Each contain some shimmer and little gold flecks, but not enough to be overwhelming. The bronzer outlasts the blush and is great for contouring. For the price it's a great product.
I decided to try this product after watching several youtube beauty vloggers rave about it. It glides on easy and you only need a little product to cover your face. It gave my skin a softer and smoother appearance. However, it didn't hold up against my oily/combo skin. In fact it seemed to make my skin oilier. I could only get about 4 hours of wear out of the product before I felt super greasy. Now that it is winter and my skin is drier I may try it again to see if I get a different result.
The LORAC Pro Palette was the first "high end" palatte that I purchased. I was orginially going to purchase the original NAKED palatte but changed my mind because I felt that the Pro palatte offered a greater variety of color choices. There are six matte shades and six shimmery shades that complement and blend well with each other. It has been one of my best purchases as an aspiring MUA because is allows me to experiment with creating a variety of looks with out have to go out and purchase several different products. Plus, it is great for travel. My only complaint would be fall out. The colors are super pigmented and if you get some fall out on your cheeks and try to swipe it away with a powder brush you may get some streaks of color on your cheeks. Other than that it is a great investment.
