I definitely recommend the oil-free formulation. It provides better coverage and gives a much more natural, matte finish than the regular formula. It has a kind of paint-like scent to it, but that seems to disappear once the product is completely blended in and dry. For a BB cream, it is surprisingly long-lasting. On its own, it can easily last eight hours; when topped with a translucent powder, it lasts even longer. My only complaint is that while the Light/Medium shade (the lightest shade available) is the perfect match for my fair skin the summer, it is too dark for me in the winter, so I have to lighten it up with a lighter foundation (I use a drop or two of Make Up Forever Mat Velvet + in No. 15).
