Maybelline - Define-A-Lash Pulse Perfection Mascara

Maybelline will launch Define-A-Lash Pulse Perfection Mascara in July. It is a battery-operated vibrating mascara, designed to deliver 7,000 vibrations per minute with each battery to last for a minimum of 130 days. (I wonder if that’s 130 days without stopping, or 130 of “typical” use.) It will be priced at $14.95 at mass retailers in July, but a special sneak preview on May 18th will enable interested buyers to purchase early for that day only. You can visit maybelline.com/pulse for details come May 18th.

I think the whole vibrating mascara thing is a bit overrated… To me, it feels more like a hype than an innovation. Maybe I should try (this) one and see how much difference it really makes…

I was given an opportunity several months back, to try the oscillation from lancome. but the way the brush was designed, made my lashes clumpy, and defeated the purpose of curling my lashes before application >_<
And the price tag was a tad brutal. I think that at 1495 I might give it a try and see how it works compared to the lancome one…maybe itll give it a run for its money 😛
though I really don’t mind doing the wiggle, its not that hard/bad to do 🙂

Am I missing something, or am I the only one who thinks the whole “vibrating mascara” craze is a little weird? Like combining a sex toy and makeup…

I am intrigued by this. I tried the Lancome Oscillation mascara and absolutely fell in love! For me it beats out Diorshow, Badgal lash, Covergirl Lashblast, YSL faux cils and everything else. Everytime I wear it I get asked if I’m wearing falsies. The longest my lashes have every looked is wearing this mascara. Besides the vibration does all the work! No wiggling and tugging like with regular ones. I think you can’t knock it til you try it! Its not just a stupid gimmick-these mascaras give fabulous results! I wonder what maybellines will be like? I hope its a cheap replacement for oscillation! The only thing I don’t like are how expensive they all are. 🙁
