I have a real weakness for duo chrome shadows, and want all of them!! This could be my first Makeup Geek order. Thank goodness these are only $6 each

I puchased some beautiful makeup geek foiled eyeshadow pans, and put them in a mac pallette (the new ones without the inserts), well the pallette fell and most of the eye shadows were destroyed.

I want to repurchase, but I am wondering, what is the best way to store them?

She sells Z-Palettes on her site, so if you just add one of those to your order, you’ll be good to go for a while with the regular sized pans. You can fit like 28 regular sized pans in the large Z’s. & MUG pans are super magnetic compared to MAC’s magnetic stickered pans. They’re just as magnetic as MUFE artist shadow pans, if not more.
But yeah, totally recommend a Z over MAC’s pro palettes. But that’s just my personal preference:-)

Oooh! Steampunk, Secret Garden and Rockstar sound DIVINE! And very different from the usual duochrome shades out here! This is exciting! I even like a few of the pigments, too, like Kaleidoscope! ?

I normally never buy until I see your review Chistine, but I went ahead and made the plunge today and bought up the set of pressed duochromes, and threw in the “starter set” of 9 shadows while I was at it! This is my FIRST MUG purchase! They just looked so pretty and since everything was selling out so quick I impulse bought! I so hope they review well, since they don’t take returns! šŸ™‚

I decided to wait on the kat von d remix palette, even though I will probably get it because I’ve always wanted to see someone bring out a good brights/neutral palette. lol I might have to get some of these first though if I get the chance because some of the color combos look really unique for duochromes. Looking forward to swatches! [:

Even though duochrome shadows look beautiful, I’m really not a huge fan. There are a few exceptions but, for the most part, when I apply a shade, I want it to BE that shade and not shift into (sometimes) a completely different color. I feel like I’m in the minority with my feelings about them. All that aside, I’ve loved them when I’ve seen others use them and there might be a shade or two in this new release that I like, such as Phantom Moodring, and/or Rockstar.

Finally someone in the makeup world was thinking about me besides sugar pill and kat von d. Yaaaasss!!! I cannot wait to get my hands on all of them. I just hope they show up well on darker skin.
