MAKE UP FOR EVER ALLIANCE artist, Lottie (www.makeupforever-alliance.com), served as key make up artist for the Libertine Fall/Winter 2011 fashion show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Lottie wanted to create a look that was universally flattering on all the models without upstaging the beautiful colors in the collection. She decided on a tough, but chic, black smoky eye, fresh face and raspberry stained lip.

Makeup How-to

  • Eyes: To achieve a true black smoky eye, Lottie first applied MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Black to the upper and lower lash lines in a cat eye shape as a base. She then added MAKE UP FOR EVER Eye Shadow #4 (matte black) and blended it out onto the eye lid. For added drama, she finished off the eyes with a thick coat of MAKE UP FOR EVER Smoky Lash.
  • Lips: Lottie used Rouge Artist Intense #34 to get a nice berry stained lip.
  • Face: Lottie used MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Invisible Cover Foundation to perfect the models’ complexions. She then contoured the hollows of the cheeks using MAKE UP FOR EVER’s Sculpting Kit.

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!
