We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! I am not quite sure of the thinking behind this collaboration with a deceased artist – who can have no input into the choices regarding the collection. I really liked Witney Houston, but find this collaboration puzzling.
As to the products – I think the eye palette is overly dark – with too many dark shades and not enough lighter/brighter colours to even it out.
The lipsticks look good and the blushes seem OK.

That’s sort of my feeling too, Genevieve….how do you collaborate with someone who’s been dead for a decade? (and I realize it’s a collaboration/money deal with her estate….). I wasn’t a fan and so didn’t realize that “Nippy” must have been her nickname…I couldn’t figure out why everything was called “Nippy’s XXX” but I do like the Nippy’s Plum Blush. I like it so much I probably have 3 or 4 dupes!

Exactly right, Rachel! Plus, these really were her types of color cosmetics that she regularly wore. She was the legit Queen of the super dark smokey eye, many times combined with a dark red lip!
The only item that I’m side-eyeing is the highlighter, but only because we didn’t use them back in that time. I DO love the looks of it regardless!

I’m also of the category of people to which collaborations with people that have passed away don’t sit well… but I have to admit but this one is one of the best (at least conceptually) I’ve seen lately.
Extremely rarely I see a pre-made palette I would actually buy and use all the colors. I don’t know how much it represents the artist, but they are my style and I would love to see the greys and the taupe become permanent.

I love the colors in the eyeshadow palette – those are the tones she wore regularly, those are the colors and finishes that Kevyn Aucoin used on her all of the time!
What a gorgeous true late 80s/90s palette.
I don’t intend to buy it – I have dupes – but I would absolutely buy it as a gift for the 90s divas in my family. Lovely.

Had the opportunity to swatch the eye palette – MAC delivered. For reference, the shades in this palette were worn in many of Whitney’s videos. Also, this color story represents the 90’s RnB girl’s go to look. And, the best part, the high level of pigment, texture, and ease of application presented in this palette is what made MAC…..MAC….the MAC I know. Thank you for delivering on this one.
