MAC Cosmetics - Gold Mode, Quick Frost, Hothouse, Goldmine Look

I used Quick Frost pigment on inner lid, Gold Mode pigment on outer lid, Gorgeous Gold eyeshadow on inner lid, Goldmine eyeshadow on middle of lid, Rye eyeshadow on outer lid and crease, Ricepaper eyeshadow above crease and on brow, Nylon eyeshadow on inner lower lash line, Goldmine eyeshadow on outer lash line, and Graphblack technakohl on lower lash line. I wore Ambering Rose blush with Harmony blush to contour on my cheeks. I had Soft Lust lipstick with Hothouse lipglass on my lips.

Wow I love this look! What do you use for your eyebrows, by the way? I love how dark it is and I want my brows to look that way especially in photos. I tried Mac’s eyebrow shader but I don’t like it at all..in the mirror it looks so dark already that I feel like I’ve overdone it, but in photos, it’s not even seen at all! Oh and we have the same eyebrow color.

Thanks, Janis! I use MAC’s Expresso eyeshadow and fill my brows using a firm angled brush. I find that eyeshadows work best for filling brows in. If you want an ultra-defined brow, you can try liquid liner, adding Carbon eyeshadow to the brow (it’s a black matte color), or using a brow pencil first, then layering shadow on top.

I was wondering…I can’t find Rye eyeshadow or the Say Yeah eyeshadow. Do you know of any current ones that could function in their places? I have green eyes and like the gold look.

I love this look! The golds look great on you! I do have a question about the awesome lip color… I’ve noticed you use hot house lipglass a lot and I absolutely love the color, but how do you get it to show up not so intense? In this look it just looks like a nice light pink. I’m sure the lipstick color has something to do with it, but how much do you apply? Do you apply it softly? Thanks!
