What can I say? I LOVE the larger palette – it’s chock-full of my favourite types of shadow colours (so I probably have dupes up the Wazoo). If LORAC was still available at Sephora in Canada, I’d be beating down the doors for this palette. The 2 smaller ones both look a lot like NARS’s Voyageur Suede palette that I got about a year ago….both are lovely and, again, the sorts of colours I wear often although there doesn’t seem to be much difference between the 2 6-pans.
Shoppers Drug Mart carries LORAC on their website. Keep checking – you never know! They’ve had seasonal palettes in the past.
Violet – see my reply to Stephanie, immediately below… I just wish LORAC was in store somewhere near me (or maybe it’s a good thing it isn’t….)
It is available at Shoppers online.
My issue is that I want and sort of need to see things “in person” – that’s part of my enjoyment of shopping for cosmetics. I was hoping this might actually have been in store at the SDM in Ottawa (I have seen, in past, some LORAC palettes at various Shoppers locations…just randomly) but then I forgot even to look, I was do dazzled by their higher end stuff and trying to get out of that area before I lost all self-control!)
For some reason I missed this post and agree with you Mariella – that larger palette is RIGHT up my alley!
The mini palettes are very cute and a good price. If I was in the market for another travel sized neutral palette, I think I would definitely go pick up Frosted Sequoia.
That’s a lot of neutral brown for a collection that claims to be inspired by sunrays peeking through evergreens.
Exactly what I thought, too, Beth! If it had a few more greens, I’d have been far more interested.
I desperately miss the old Lorac pro palettes and that formula!
The big palette is beautiful. I love the evocative names and ideas although none of that is visibly featured in the palette design itself. The two smaller ones look exactly like the NARS voyageur palettes, but the color scheme for these I find more appealing.
Lorac still has one of the absolute best formulas with beautiful rich color, but with my old ones at least the dust up is unbelievable lol, you have to use a super light touch. None of these shades are new but I really like having these smaller pans for travel not to mention it’s all in one space, then you could just grab a couple toppers if you really want more shimmer. I’m definitely going to swatch this first but I’m interested!
THIS I’m excited for. I picked up Noir and Soleil (despite the fact I don’t generally reach for those shades) and have been in love with both of them. I’ll almost certainly snag that larger palette, especially if I can get it on a good holiday deal. As an aside…what happened to taupe-gray contour eyeshadow shades? It’s like they all vanished after the Tartlettes, UD Naked2, and Viseart’s Chroma. Not all of us want to have a pink transition shade. Even in the Noir those light mattes in the top left are pink based (my skin tone amps pink like crazy) “beiges.”
Super pretty! I need to see swatches to be sure but might pick this one up. I love the “dark enchanted forest” vibe it has!
I saw this and thought, is this like a remake of ND’s Start palette??? Will DEFINITELY look for dupes of it once you rate it. It’s very nice though.
