Looks - Experiment in Black and Blue

This is from last night, where I was just playing around with makeup in order to avoid studying. 🙂 I was trying to do something super over-the-top, and when it all finished, I was like, “You know, I could see myself wearing this out!” Not for everyday of course, but you never know!

I used Blacktrack fluidline on lid, Carbon eyeshadow all over lid, Freshwater eyeshadow above crease, Turquatic reflects glitter above crease, Vex eyeshadow on brow, Freshwater eyeshadow on outer lid, Vex eyeshadow on lower lash line, Feline kohl power (LE) on lower lash line, and Plushlash mascara on lashes. I wore Sunbasque blush on cheeks. I had Brew lipstick with Comet Blue dazzleglass (LE) my lips.

I love the drama of the look. It would be great to see if we can achieve the same look with Naugthy Nauticals products. Anyway, this is a great look to get people motivated to use blue again. Love Vex, Brew + Cosmic blue is genius.

Ah yes, good to see someone else come around to wearing Sharks themed eye makeup. Of course you did pick the wrong day. The next game is tomorrow. But I’m sure you’ll have no problem re-creating it. 😉

I’m officially coming out of lurker status to say that this look is HOT! I think this and that last smokey, green/gold/black look you did have been your best… really outside your norm, and it makes your eyes really pop.
It’s inspiring enough to actually get a MAC collection going (that is, once I’m done with my unpaid internship and find one where I get paid!)

I recently tried this look! I didn’t have as bright of blue eyeshadows, so I used a deep dark blue blended into the black. I also used black liquid liner instead of the fluidline (I have no MAC products…:( ) I really liked how dramatic it was!

oh my goshhhhhhh! this si so beautiful, great, intense, and fab. i so love this look. the pics actually look like they came form a magazine and u took them ur self! the reflects glitter is a pigment or e/s. cause i recall u saying glitter is not safe for the eye.

I do love these colors together, but I think the Freshwater would look nicer on you if it wasn’t blended so high up above and outside the crease. Looks like you had fun though!

this is one of the only looks on the site where i saw the close up and was like “thts a wierd look”. and then i saw the face shot and thought “wow thts so pretty!” . i would totally do a look like this for everyday wear. im surprised, i didnt think i would like it tht much considering how i felt about the close up, but im thinking of copying this for class tomorow

Hi, I just wanted to say you’re website is amazing! I’ve been following it for about a year and I today I tried this style and it came out great! Instead of using a black I used a really dark gray and used a brighter blue closer to teal, but it was definitely a great experiment, so thanks again for the wonderful ideas! I’ve raved about your site to anyone I can tell!
