Look: Warmed-up, Smoked-out Greens

I was in a green mood, so I opted to go for yellow-based greens with a smoky edge!

You will need the following…

For eyes, start by applying Soft Ochre paint pot as your eyeshadow base all over the eye area with the 249. Next, apply a secondary base of Golden Olive pigment on the lid only with water-based mixing medium. Using the 239, apply Goldmine eyeshadow on the inner third of the eyelid. Next, apply Juxt eyeshadow on the middle third of the eyelid and lightly blend with the inner corner. Darken the outer third of the lid with Humid eyeshadow with the 239, gently brushing it into the lower crease. Apply Femme Noir eyeshadow into the outer crease with the 226. Lightly tap and brush Nylon eyeshadow directly above the crease to soften. To finish the eyeshadow look, sweep Ricepaper eyeshadow as a highlighter on the brow bone. Bring everything together by applying #20L eyeliner on the lower lash line and sweeping lashes with Plushlash mascara.

For cheeks, apply Nude blush to the apples of the cheeks and sweep upwards towards the temple with the 116.

For lips, apply Fresh Salmon lipstick first, and then layer Gold Dust lipglass for a complementing lip.

I’ve got a question for you: do you use a e/s primer too? Or just Soft Ochre?

I love all the green/gold looks you’ve been doing lately. This one is a great combination. And since I bought some golds and gold/greens from MAC recently I’ve been very excited each time you post a look I don’t have to dupe :). I used Fresh Salmon yesterday with LORAC’s 3D lipglass in Untamed, such a pretty combination. The Dolce and Gabbana blush looks really good on you/with this look :).

u r so inovative how come u r able to mix 3 – 4 colors and yet they are so noticeable
the problem with me is i mix up or over blend everything

I’m a total sucker for golds and greens so obviously I love this look. 🙂 It still annoys me, to this day, that MAC discontinued Femme Noir eye shadow… well it annoys me that a lot of the veluxe eye shadows were discontinued but best not get into that or we’ll be here all day. Lol.

This is a really gorgeous look Christine! I don’t think I’ve ever actually put gold and green together (I have done goldish greens) so I’m totally going to have to try this look soon! D&G Nude looks incredible on you too.

Thanks to your “must have” lists i got laugh a lot and fresh salmon lipsticks and azalea blossom blush from the spring collection and oh my! I am so happy with my purchases and just wanted to thank you…you are sometimes more helpful than the people who actually work at MAC! I am even thinking of getting a backup Laugh a Lot because it is truly the most complementing, easy to use, and just the prettiest color ever!!! That is SO pretty!
I’m getting more into my greens and I really love deep forest and olive shades with bronze, so I am definitely going to try mixing it up with some yellow gold like this.

Thanks so much for doing these recent looks with some old goodies! It gives me a reason to bust out some of the perm shades I never use. Plus, greens are a real favourite of mine. 🙂 This one is particularly beautiful but I loved the one yesterday too!
