Look - Laura Mercier Master Toolbox Eye

Can you believe this look is from mid-November?! I haven’t had the time to do any makeup in at least a week, if not two. It’s been deadline after deadline these past two weeks with projects, papers, and finals for me. Not even close to being done yet–still three finals to go! My deepest apologies if it seems like I’ve been slacking!

You will need the following…

  • Eyes: Soft Ochre paint pot (neutral beige base), Ricepaper eyeshadow (soft highlighter), Laura Mercier Master Tool Box (Morning Dew – soft neutral, Rose – pinkish brown, Fresco – medium brown, Chocolate – dark, warm brown), Urban Decay Bourbon 24/7 Liner (brown), Plushlash mascara (black)
  • Cheeks: Enough Said blush (soft peach)
  • Lips: Calvin Klein Maven Lipgloss (dark garnet)
  • Brushes: 266 (firm, angled brush), 249 (flat, firm brush), 239 (fluffy shadow brush), 129 (dense blush brush)
  • Substitutes: Enough Said = bronzer

Directions: Define brows using a coordinating powder shadow applied with the 266 brush. Apply Soft Ochre paint pot all over the lid as the base with the 249. On the lid, apply Ricepaper eyeshadow using the 239. Darken the outer lid using Chocolate and drag into crease using the 239. Darken crease with Twilight Grey eyeshadow using the 239. Sweep Morning Dew underneath the brow bone to highlight, add a touch of Rose for shimmer. Finish with Urban Decay Bourbon 24/7 Liner on lower lash line, and Plushlash mascara on lashes. Sweep apples of cheeks with Enough Said blush using the 129. Apply Calvin Klein Maven lipgloss for color and shine.

Aw hun, don’t worry about being busy! I’m in the same boat – 3 finals to go! (we’re kinda almost done 🙂 )

On that note, I do really like this look, and I think I’m going to try something similar with colors I have (when things slow down).

Yay! Thank you for posting a look! I’ve now got that toolkit in my checkout cart from Sephora. 🙂 Thanks for keeping us updated while you’re so busy. Hang in there!

Beautiful look 🙂 Good luck with your remaining finals.

On a random note, after reading through some of your tutorials, I went out and bought Glimmershimmer in Astral Rays (Yay – my first MAC product!) and am IN LOVE. Thanks for the inspiration!

I got it off Strawberry net (so I guess I didn’t reall “go out” and buy it lol)and it arrived yesterday. They have every colour available, and they are slightly discounted.

I’m going a bit crazy now, I’m on the MAC website and I’ve made a list of all the products I MUST have hehe. My poor savings account is going to hate me after work today.

Well, I haven’t decided on exact colours, etc, yet, especially since there is a MAC Pro store just down the street from me that is packed to the rafters with just about every product currently available, including all the holiday limited editions. So I’ve drawn up a rough draft of what products I want/need, and will decide on colours, etc, after having a play in store. Basically what I need is …

Prep + Prime
Foundation
Fluidline in black
Blushers
Eyeshadows
Lipsticks
Bronzer
Brushes
Finishing powder
Shimmer pots
Some of the limited edition holiday collections
Lip glosses

So basically I’m overhauling my entire makeup collection! I’ve been putting aside money for this for months now, as it’s my christmas present to myself, so I plan to totally splurge and put together a whole new MAC look.

Aren’t you just lucky to have a MAC PRO store down the street!! I envy you 😉

It sounds SO exciting, and I wish you much, much fun when you go in to play and buy up the store. I think it’s great that you’ve been saving up for this gift to yourself! Congrats!

That shade of blue really compliments your skin tone! In fact, I think it does the same for EVERY skin tone!
