Lip Lust - NARS Moon Fleet/Indian Red Lip Gloss/Lip Stain

I don’t have much NARS in my makeup stash, but what few products I have, I really enjoy. NARS’ Moon Fleet / Indian Red Lip Gloss/Lip Stain is such a pretty, ultra-glossy semi-sheer red. The red itself is lovely in its tone – not too orange, not too blue – almost a neutral red, which is hard to come by. The gold shimmer gloss makes a great way to give the color some shine and sparkle. I’m warm-toned, so I find that the gold accents and works well with my skin tone, too.

I had this but quickly returned it- I hated how watery it was, and how the red from the stain got into the gold gloss and ruined the colour of it. But the big problem was is that within 10 minutes it would disappear and I would be left with a ‘kool-aid’ line around my mouth… ICK!

I would not suggest the stain/gloss combo. I have the full-size Indian Red, and it stays on extremely well. You don’t really need the gloss. The gloss is what takes away the stain’s staying power.

That’s such a lovely colour! I was actually thinking about getting it from Sephora, but the online “swatches” are a little freaky, especially the gloss.

Do you think it would work on darker skintones?
