Lip Lust - Lancome Electric Pink La Laque Fever

Lancome’s Electric Pink La Laque Fever ($26.00) is just such a stunning shade of hot fuchsia pink with a ridiculous amount of shimmer and glitter. It looks like shimmering water on your lips–well, if water was pink! This was by far the most stunning product that came out of Lancome’s Pink Irreverance Collection this Spring. It’s hard to miss it, and it’s even harder to pass it up.

is it chunky glitter? I was scared away from these at the store when I saw them, too much glitter. I recall the UD lip gunk and the chunky glitter that would stick around long after the pigment had left. Is the La Laque that bad? Should I stop complaining already and just go try it? 🙂

ehhh this sounds bitchy, it’s not necessarily a bad thing obviously I hope you reap some sort of profit from this blog it just this seems like an ad kinda placed among posts

Just to clarify, no post on Temptalia has been an advertisement. While we consider doing sponsored posts or advertorials (both of which would clearly be marked for your viewing), no product earns raves or a positive review because of payment. We will not work with a company or advertiser that requires a positive review or any type of skew on a review. Temptalia must maintain 100% control over content of any and all posts.

I categorically refuse to be anything but honest in my assessment of any product, so I do not accept payment in exchange for a positive review. I feel very strongly about maintaining Temptalia’s integrity as a resource for honest and helpful reviews, so I just wanted to let you know that this is not an ad… that this is genuinely a lip color I like a lot and wanted to share the swatch with you all.

Lip Lust is just a very short type of post that’s just a couple of lines about a fabulous lip product or lip combination. I covered La Laque in fuller detail last week (linked in this post), if you wanted to read a more thorough review, as this is primarily just a “this is hot! check it out!” post.

Hi, Christine, thanks for doing this. I obviously won’t be getting this, as I’m not a big fan of glitter and I could easily dupe this with my other gloss I have. it gives your lip an unusual shine. 🙂

Pretty! I, too, am afraid of chunky glitter. but it looks pretty. I’m a sucker for fuchsia lip glosses.

Question: What kind of camera do you use?? You’re pictures come out stunning! and clear! The pictures on mine come out too dark no matter what setting I change it to.

Christine Avatar

Hey Eileen,

I’m gonna have to wear it a little more, because I only wore it once so far and I didn’t notice the glitter, but it DOES have a ton, so I wouldn’t be surprised if you could feel it later on.

I use a Fuji Finepix E550 digital camera for makeup close-ups 🙂

I didn’t think this was a chunky glitter, rather subtle, first thing to come to mind would maybe be simliar to Dazzleglass? I preselled two of these (Electric Pink and Optical Rose) at my store for their gift-w/-purchase, it has a pleasant fruity smell but I don’t recall feeling glitter after wearing it but maybe it’s just me? lol Hope that helps someone out.

Dazzleglass is gritty on me! Like I can totally feel all the glitter as the gloss fades away, which is why I’m not all over dazzleglass, LOL. BUT with Dazzleglass, I didn’t find any of them to be pigmented so that’s another reason why I never got into them.

La Laque IS way pigmented and glittery and shimmery!

there are only 3 colours in the la laque collection that will contain this amount of glitter – the other 9 are more of a cream shine and highly pigmented. i have 5 colours now and they truly are amazing! i purchased graffiti red (stunning deep red) and lancome rose (fabulous hot pink) yesterday to add to my growing la laque collection.
