Ummm 165 bucks??? My budget is saying hell no. Also, that sculpting powder for sure won’t work on everyone unless it has magical unicorn powers.

I do want to try some Kevyn Aucoin stuff , but budget says nope

Oh man. That’s pretty. I love grey eye shadows. I don’t think I can spend that much $ on this though now. $165 is a lot for a palette! Geez! The only way I would buy this is if I wind up returning the LM master class which I sill haven’t used just because I keep reaching for other things. Honestly, I have bought too many palettes already! swimming in them. Hmm. I hope you review this. But, I wouldn’t blame you for not wanting to buy it either, lol!

This is absolutely breathtaking – the versatility of the colours is so apparent! – but it’s apparent that it’s out of my price range as well 🙁

It’ll be interesting to see how much product you actually get, to determine if the palette is actually the money!

$165 for this??? I thought it was a typo and only $ 65. I mean it’s a nice looking palette, but it’s waaay overpriced, and the colors look very dupe-able

Veronica Avatar

It depends on the amount of product they’re giving you, honestly. KA eyeshadow singles go for $30, so if they’re close to full size, that’s roughly $400 worth of makeup right there. I can’t find anything that tells me how many ounces are of each, though…

Isabella Avatar

It will be so much nicer if these applicators/brushes would have been left out!
But $165 is a bit of a splurge and I think I’d rather buy these items separately for that amount of money. Small compacts are easier to carry around with imo, and you do not have to take the entire palette out if you only need one of the items.

Hmm, this means it’ll be about $200 CDN. LOVE Kevyn Aucoin makeup, so technically this is a great price, but still, seems steep. Looking forward to swatches and seeing how this palette performs compared to his regular products.

Very lovely, but at that price, it would have to be something I used extensively, and while I’ve heard good things about the sculpting powder, it’s too dark and warm for my skin tone, as are the gold toned eyeshadows.

Genevieve Avatar

I don’t particularly like the Sculpturing powder – it is definitely the wrong shade for me. I think it’s a mistake to put blush/contour powders in because the shades never really work for everyone.
As far as I can tell about the eyeshadows – they look very dupable and some/ a lot of the shades I wouldn’t really use. I wonder if it is a matte finish.

It’s funny reading all of the comments about how expensive it is, because my first reaction upon seeing the size of the palette and realising it was KA was to wince and think it might involve someone’s firstborn!

So $165 doesn’t seem that bad… lol.

Paz Avatar

I’d totally buy this for that price if these are the BEST eyeshadows known to man, made of fairy dust and baby Jesus tears. They can’t be that good, can they? Seriously, what are they made of?

Susan Avatar

Hautelook recently had a flash sale on KA. Of course I don’t believe this product was in the sale. They seldom have them but rotate high end products from Nordstrom and the Rack. Worth being on the email list. Never know what you might see and “need”.

Phoebe Avatar

I love every single one of those colors. I actually think I’d use them all. So even though the price tag is steep, I won’t lie — I’m thinking about it.

Rebekah Avatar

I’d be all over this if it didn’t have the sculpting products! Don’t get me wrong, sculpt/candlelight are holy grail items for me, but they’ve been included in so many releases lately that I have more than I’ll ever be able to finish! Really stinks because that shadow palette looks like a KA paradise for me…I LOVE his eyeshadows!

Alecto Avatar

What an amazingly beautiful neutral set. Those colors aren’t universal, but they’d definitely work for me. I’ve purchased shadows for that price (taken individually). If this were permanent, I’d consider it as a replacement for items I’ll be using up in the future, but I don’t need it now, so can’t justify it. 🙁
