KBShimmer Spring Training Nail Lacquer
KBShimmer Spring Training Nail Lacquer ($8.75 for 0.50 fl. oz.) is described as a “soft mint green polish filled with a palette of floral colored glitters.” It has a pale, pastel green base with subtle warm undertones (at least, it reads just slightly warm-toned on me) paired with a variety of coral, yellow, and blue glitters; some small, some hexagon-shaped and larger. It is lighter and less cool-toned (in base) compared to Illamasqua Mottle, which I recently reviewed. The base color is a bit warmer than Butter London Fiver. Nubar Baby Sprout is a bit brighter but very close to the base color.
One of the things I really like about KBShimmer’s polishes is that you can find more opaque glitter polishes within the range, so you don’t have to worry about finding the right pairing for it. It has a creamy, slightly jelly-like finish–again, there’s a squishy look to the nails after two coats–but it has a fair amount of creaminess. It was mostly opaque after two coats, and the consistency wasn’t too thick or too thin. The glitter dispersed evenly across the nail, and I didn’t have to push, pull, or fish for glitter. I typically get a week of wear out of KBShimmer’s formula with minimal tip wear but no chipping. This polish is scented with freesia, and I was able to smell once the polish dried (so whether that’s for you depends on if you like freesia!).

This is gorgeous, it looks like a speckled easter egg. I’d buy with free shipping!
Very weirdly cool! Looks great for spring!
This just screams “Easter!” to me. It’s cute, but I do believe I like the Illamasqua speckle polishes a wee bit better…
Because of the multi-color glitter I think I like this better than the Illamasqua ones.
Ack! I want it! Shipping from KBShimmer is really reasonable too, only $2.75. Now the question is, can one have too many nail polishes? Hehe… I love these spring pastels! Iris My Case is in my cart too at the moment…
Oh, man, Sara — I totally read that as “only $2.75” in regards to the prize, and I was like, “Wait! No, it’s $8.75! Did I botch it in the post?” Checked, saw it was right, came back, then read you said SHIPPING. DUH!
Fast shipping, too 🙂 I bought my first polishes from KBShimmer and had a great experience!
Haha, whoops! I ordered the two polishes and I can’t wait for them to arrive! I’m gonna try sandwiching the polish in between gel base and top coat so it lasts 2 weeks. My newest trick… I have one of the gel UV light polish kits.
omg. that’s… BRILLIANT.
Link to the kit, please?
Really beautiful polish 🙂
Your nails always look sooooooooo awesome with any polish on. Can you do a video on how you apply nail polish since you say you a don’t get alot of chipping from many polsihes. I would love to see a tutorial!

Finally a glitter nail polish I can get into!
Pretty! I usually don’t like (almost) white nail polish, but with this is actually fine.
It looks like Glitter In The Air but with more fun colors in the glitter. 😀
I think I want this solely because it’s called Spring Training…
Cuuute!! 😀
Cute and really unique 🙂
This almost looks like a glow-in-the-dark polish…
Wouldn’t THAT be cool???
I prefer the Illamasqua. I don’t care for the multicolor glitter.
not usually a fan of milky polishes, but this one is really pretty!
So pretty, wish it would be available to Europe 🙁
Who came with the ideal of water splash colors are white, pink, yellow, turquoise blue. Because it’s a wonderful color I love it.
