Items of Intrigue, Vol. 009
It’s been awhile, which is more a result of not finding more than one or two products intriguing enough to warrant a post, but finally, I’ve collected enough to share for the “week,” haha!
- NYX Bronzer/Blush ($9.00) comes in several varieties, and they remind me of duos MAC did many years ago (which were actually very good!).
- Clinique Moisture Surge Intense Hydrator ($36.00) is a new moisturizer from Clinique, and as a big fan of Moisture Surge, I’m curious to see how it performs.
- 29 Scented Neck Wrap ($68.00) just sounds relaxing. I have constant neck and shoulder pain, so the idea of heat plus lavender sounds awesome. I’m sure I could find it at a better price point, though!
- Clarins Holiday Face Palette ($55.00) just looks pretty! Who doesn’t want another face palette?
- Giorgio Armani Designer Lift Foundation ($65.00) sounds promising! I’m always on the lookout for a new holy grail foundation.
The NYX duos intrigue me too!
When we were both working in retail, I bought the boyfriend a massager:

He really likes it, and still uses it 2 years later. 🙂
Thank you!
I’m looking forward to your review of the NYX bronzer blush. I saw the product on the NYX site a few days ago and it caught my attention too. Doesn’t it strike you as odd that the shades/combo in the main picture looks nothing like the duos on sale?
Not really, since promo photos are usually terribly inaccurate!
I haven’t seen the new NYX bronzer duo! I might have to check it out!
I have been using Clinique Moisture Surge Intense Hydrator for almost a year now and absolutely love it! I think I’m going to check out NYX Bronzer/Blush
Karen from makeupandbeautyblog.com did a review on the NYX duos:
http://www.makeupandbeautyblog.com/product-reviews/its-summer-in-december-with-the-new-bronzer-blusher-combos-from-nyx/
Some of the blush swatches look lovely! Unfortunately, the bronzer side isn’t very pigmented.
YAY! Does this mean you will be reviewing the Armani foundation?
I don’t have any of these products!
The neck wraps are SO relaxing! I got mine at Ross for 6.99 – Earth Therapeutics. Chamomile+Lavender+Heat= good sleep.
Nice! 🙂
Christine – For a cheaper version of the neck wrap, Origins sells “Hugs” in Lavender, Peppermint, or Ginger fragrances for $42 each. Slightly more affordable option for ya! (Disclaimer: I’m a manager for Origins. Not being paid by the company to plug product, just being helpful 😛 )
Thank you Maggie!!
I like Clinique Moisture Surge, but I stopped using it cause when applied it gets a bit itchy til it dries. Neutrogena Hydro boost works better for me! I use the essence and water gel!
Good to hear that Neutrogena Hydro Boost works well!
I love love love the NYX duos. I use Sunrise in Bali and its perfect, blush and bronzer all in one step. I also currently use the Clinique moisture surge at night, its okay but I add Josie Maran argan oil for an extra moisturizing boost.
What’s caught my eye lately is the NARS pure matte lipsticks. I know they are not new but I’m just getting into the matte trend. I also am into matte top coat. I LOVE how it looks over red or black nail polish. I would love to try an Armani foundation but I just got a new NARS one that I love.
Take care of yourself Christine, that sorta back pain can lead to serious complications. Make sure you stretch, take regular breaks, and find a good massage therapist. *hugs*
Hoping to get a new chair this December! Massage therapist hasn’t been cutting it – feels great initially but the effects just don’t last. For $200, I just can’t justify it. I need to go to the source!
NICE! been wondering how good the NYX blush/bronzer when i saw it on cherryculture.com!
I SOO hope you do a review on them! 🙂
love >.< the armani foundation!! soo silky.. Try it.
Christine,as someone who is disabled due to neck/shoulder pain,I am quite concerned. If your new chair and other home measures don’t help, please see your physician for an evaluation.if you have not already done so.
My physician says nothing is wrong, thank you for your concern!
Moisture Surge Intense?!?! My gosh, I can’t see how any Clinique moisturiser can be more moisturising than the original Moisture Surge already. Perhaps this is meant for much older skin?
xoxo,
Roxanne
