Guerlain! 🙂
Thanks to Summer for today’s question! Have a question idea? Submit yours here.
Probably Guerlain or MAC. Love those two brands. – sz
Definitely Benefit or Urban Decay! I just love all their products!!
probably Illimasqua, it suits my style 🙂
I would choose Illamasqua 🙂
Dior !!
I love their designs ❤
Estee Lauder, Clinique, Lorac, or Urban Decay
Probably NARS. I love that they tend to stick to smaller collections. It seems like the products in the collections are always very cohesive and go along with the theme well. In addition, I love that it’s so much more chill to get a new NARS product. It’s not going to cause panic and worry that the items will sell out in minutes. Often times, NARS will add products from collections to the permanent lineup, which is cool. I think NARS has a lot of great products, too, obviously.
The only thing that puts me off a little about the brand is the times I have e-mailed, I have never received a response back. Kind of annoying, but at least I don’t get rude responses back or the fake BS “we care” attitude, which drives me even more insane. Like the other day, I e-mailed MAC PRO and received a snotty response from the regular MAC site to contact MAC PRO. I have hated the sites ever since they tried to combine the two sites. Ok, off the tangent, lol.
I loved all your points about NARS! Sorry they never emailed you, but have you checked your spam? I’ve emailed them before from my old Yahoo account, and I realized a week later that I DID get a response within 48 hours.
Yeah, I’ve checked, they just have never e-mailed back. It doesn’t deter me from the brand at all, but I am big on customer service, so that kind of stuff just irks me a little and rubs me the wrong way. Still love the brand overall, though! 🙂 I’m definitely a NARS blush hoe!
NARS!
Illamasqua or NARS xx
Tom Ford. His cosmetic line is not trendy…doesnt have fruity colors like YSL, Dior, Chanel…It doesnt follow the seasons etc….just like the yesteryears. Timeless.
Probably Guerlain for me, too, come to think of it – the quality of their lipsticks and highlighters puts them at a slight advantage to my other choices, which would be Chanel, Burberry, or Givenchy. I love an elegant brand image!
Easy, Guerlain.
Urban Decay for sure!
Benefit. I like their sense of humor.
Too Faced!
Urban Decay! 😀
I’d partner with Urban Decay or Makeup Forever
NARS or Kat Von D – I love NARS’ seasonal collections and how they don’t make the products SO limited that they sell out literally within minutes. I’m not into tattoos or anything but I’ve really been liking Kat Von D’s new palettes and lipsticks, really bright, fun colors!
Urban Decay, MUFE, Illamasqua, Lancôme, or some cutesy Asian brand. Sorry cant really choose ><
NARS! To expand: I’d put in TWO NEW BLUSHES, a new highlighter, three eyeliners, 3 new single eyeshadows, 2 lipsticks, 2 glosses. haha 🙂
I’d do a vegan collection with Urban Decay or OCC
Make Up Forever for me! Love the vibrant colours and the quality of their products.
I’m thinking Bare Escentuals or Urban Decay
definitely Illamasqua. something dark but glamorous, with black lips and false eyelashes all around 8)
I would go for one of the indie brands I love, because there’s a higher chance it would come true, lol.
Urban Decay for sure!
Estee Lauder or Aveda. I feel so in love with Estee Lauder again over the past year and I love how their collections are usually so well conceived. Aveda… sigh… generally speaking kinda sucks at eyeshadow but I’ve always loved the brand so much and in the PAST they used to actually be groovy (actual bright eyeshadows, strange metallic creams and eye pencils that looked like Silver Ring by MAC), I’d like to bring that “groovy” back to the brand a little 🙂
MAC, I think there’s more freedom in collections away from their normal aesthetics.. maybe bring back the mega metals shadows in palette form.. really elegant looking palettes like formal black..
Definitely MAC! I’ve “created” several collections in my head. 🙂
Bobbi Brown! I like how hard it is to find duds in this brand, and the very professional attitude.
I agree!
Dior!
MAC!
Can’t think of any other which I love as much as I love MAC.
Ok, may be Shiseido. 😉
And I just thought of another…. Tom Ford!
NARS !
Or I might just be biased right now as I love their current collection. (:
Definitely Illamasqua. I love how theatrical everything they put out is, especially the collection art. 😀
NARS and MAC
For a non make-up brand I’d like to partner with Coach. Their colours and textures just wow me everything.
For a make-up brand I’d like to partner with Hard Candy. One reason would be that everyone could afford to buy something or the entire line and they do have some interesting products and colours.
Opppsss meant everyTIME, not everything *zzz*
Either NARS or MAC
MAC or TooFaced, most likely because the quality would be good and the products would be more widely affordable (I was eyeing Guerlain’s Cruel Gardenia yesterday but no way can I justify spending that much on a shiny face powder, however pretty).
Dior! I love the richness of their shadows.
Definitely DIOR!!!!
I had the exact same thought! lol
Hmm probably MAC, even though I’m not tooooo obsessed with the brand! Otherwise Chanel.
NARS
I’d pick mac – then I could get them to make quads that are all-round winners with no duds in sight 😀
MAC, UD
Omg tarina Tarantino, I want to make my own hyperliners. If not, nyx
She’d be my second choice 😉
Dior. love their 5-color eyeshadow quints. would be awesome to create some of my own taste 🙂
I would ask BPAL to do a line of perfumes based on the characters from my book series! I don’t know if that counts but I do love Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab. 😀
Either Mac or Chanel. Mac because I feel that more people are bound to buy it, and Chanel because it’s classy, and I just love Chanel! 🙂
Chanel or Dior. I’d be happy with either really 🙂
Definitely MAC, and maybe Channel if they ever do =]
For a larger brand, Urban Decay. But I think it would be cool to partner up with an indie brand, Sugarpill in particular, I love their aesthetic.
Oh, Chanel. Definitely.
Hourglass!
Chanel, with lots of beautiful lipsticks and blushes! 🙂
Laura Mercier or Bobbi Brown! Love them both 🙂
Seeing that the make up collection I’d partner up for would be entirely centered around my freakishly pale skin (think: N 5 or even lighter) I’d love to work with some brand that makes good foundations. Unfortunately none of the commonly popular foundations work on me, so I can’t really say… I guess it’d either be Chanel or Guerlain though.
MAC or Urban Decay. Also would be cool to come up with something with Kat Von D.
Well I’m a nail professional, but I would love to partner with Ginger & Liz or Cult nails if I had a chance 😉
Woohoo, second question of mine that’s made it! ;D
That being said, this is a hard one for me to answer. I think I’d like to do a spring collection with Dior or a holiday collection with Chanel.
Dior spring: I’d have three Rouge Dior lipsticks, as I adore them to no end. One would be a shimmer, another a cream, and the last one a matte. I think one would need to be a bit of a duochrome that straddles the line between ladylike spring and very bold summer colors. And I would want a new fragrance after my name, ahem. (I’m a huge Dior junkie, but I can’t find ONE perfume from them that agrees with my skin! Maybe the perfume would be permanent.) I would also create a peach blush duo, with one a shimmer and the other a matte, so you could be set for day or night. I’m thinking the blushes would have a gel/cream consistency, sort of like Buxom’s Stay There shadows.
Chanel holiday: I think Chanel + gemstones = Christmas magic, lol, so that would be my theme. Two eyeshadow quads would be a play on amethysts and topaz. Nail polish colors would have a liquid shine, and would be layerable; a shimmery sheer platinum over a vinyl-looking garnet.
Urban Decay
Probably MAC. Overall it’s my favourite brand and I just love what the brand stands for (actualy artistry) as well as the products. I was disappointed by their collections last year but Shop MAC & Cook MAC look pretty good, and I love MAC’s collections usually, I can just see myself designing super cute packaging and gorgeous new shades!
Otherwise, probably Urban Decay, I’d love to create a palette with them, as their eyeshadows are my favourite along with MAC. Or perhaps Benefit, because I love their products and the packaging is adorable 🙂
Bobbi Brown and Eve pearl, I love their products
Urban Decay! My heart melts for their eye shadow palettes!
Yay for Guerlain! But I’m also head over heel for Giorgio Armani Beauty as well >p
Rouge Bunny Rouge, Guerlain, or Tom Ford.
Bobbi Brown. I like that the brand seems to appreciate the value of understated makeup, which is the majority of what I wear.
since mac releases about 50 collections a month, I wouldn’t want to do it with them because it wouldn’t be as special! I would have to say Nars for a more classic line, or Urban Decay for a more edgy one
NARS most definitely. I love MAC too but they come out with a billion collections at once which is kind of a headache
Definitely Dior!
Burberry, Chanel
I would say MAC because I love that brand, but like someone else pointed out, they do so many collections in a year, my collection wouldn’t feel special. I would want my collection and the packaging to feel elegant and luxrious…Dior, Channel, and YSL come to mind.
I’d probably go with a cheaper brand like Wet N’ Wild. I think the quality for the price is amazing and for a little extra you could ramp up the packaging. If I got my choice I’d rather do a nail polish brand and go with Butter London. I love their polishes.
Illamasqua, Sugarpill, OCC…
Chanel! I just visited their counter yesterday, and it’s my Tiffany’s. “Nothing very bad could happen to you there.” To design with them would be incredible.
Laura mercier and mac
I would do a themed collection with either Urban Decay, MAC, or Makeup Forever
Too Faced (for a palette) or NARS (for blushes) !
