I would say Tarte Amazonian Clay blush or Anastasia brow kit and stencils. That is luxury for me. I guess some people would pick Dior or Chanel but I’m used to drug store things and the two I picked would be a luxury for me!

Peggy, I say do it! I have the Tarte blush in several colors. I’m pale, so I use Exposed. If your complexion is deeper, I’d try something brighter, like Natural Beauty. I’m getting that for a friend and I can’t wait to see it on her!

Of all the beauty things ive ever bought (oodles!) There is nothing ive been more pleasantly surprised with than the Clarisonic. It could just be me but it completely changed my skins texture for the better, something no other skin care product has ever been able to do. GET IT!

Alison Avatar

AGREED! My (moderate to severe, painful) acne cleared up almost completely just from adding the Clarisonic to my regimen. Get it, its worth every cent and more.

I can honestly say I’ve never had anything else make such a drastic difference in my skin care and beauty regimen. Not even close.

Yeah I would like a really great blow dryer, and I’m curious to see if a similar flat iron would actually make my short hair lie flat. It’s always sticking up if it’s shorter 2 inches. Anyone have any ideas?

Ah! Tom Ford brushes…got the bronzer brush….the other Tom Ford brushes are similar to MAC or Shu Uemura, but not this bronzer brush which was so grand…never seen one like it in my 30 years.

Shiseido Future Solution face cream (black pot) – I once had a deluxe sample of this and it is by far the best moisturizer I’ve ever used.
And maybe Teint Delectation or Or de Rose, which are both foundations by By Terry.

Foundation, face cream and perfume are the only things on which I would consider spending more than 50 euros (approx. 70 dollars).

I would choose a Tom Ford lipstick. Or a D&G lipstick. Or a Burberru lipstick. Or an Armani lipstick. So it would definitely be a lipstick – I’m crazy about ’em

1) A Clarisonic. Such a big initial outlay!

2) A really top-quality epilator.

3) Not ONE thing, but a bunch of full-size Shu Uemura brushes. I have the 18G foundation brush, and the 5F eye liner brush, and they are beyond the beyond. AMAZING.

That’s my choice too! Cate Blanchett always looks so gorgeous and amazing, but I am sure she has good genes too.

Great question, I’m really enjoying reading everyone’s responses =)

ANY Guerlain palette: I have resisted but if I was wealthy I’d buy them and never use them – the way they look is just exquisite.

(A side note on clarisonic – probably not worth it if you have problem skin: I have big pores and very oily skin that get spots all the time etc. and clairsonic hasn’t addressed any of these problems.)

Probably one of the new Tom Ford lipsticks! I’m thinking about treating myself to one for christmas but $54 for lipstick?! $30 is generally my limit!

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte in any color lol. I just cant justify paying so much for a lipstick but I love the creaminess and of course the packaging is great!

Lizzi Avatar

Yes! Those are beautiful. I was able to get a 7 drawer one on ebay for a little over $200, and the less drawers=cheaper. You can get the 4 drawer one which is pretty big for about $120. Play around on ebay, you might find an even better price.

The Silk’n Sens Epil is a mega luxury that I would love to have but couldn’t see myself spending the money on it–nearly all of my other wishes (the parure gold foundation, the nars fancy kabuki eyeshadow palette) I could get for myself without guilt.

Lizzi Avatar

hmm… To be honest, it would probably be MAC’s Ripe Peach. I know it’s not a pricey item at the retail selling point and the scalped prices online aren’t out of my price range, but I just couldn’t live with myself to pay more than I would have in the store had I just got it when I had the chance.

Otherwise, I’d buy Tom Ford’s 8.4 oz Jasmin Rouge perfume for $475.

Angie Avatar

I would buy all the Chanel cream eyeshadows lol but if it’s just one item I had to choose, it would probably be the Laura Mercier foundation, I’ve heard many great things about it 🙂

Millie Avatar

I got Creme de la Mer for my bday and I truly love it! I would buy either the La mer serum, Guerlain orchidee imperial cream or Armani’s Crema Nera.

Quinctia Avatar

Guerlain anything…Meteorites or lippies. Without a counter nearby to gauge whether I’d be tolerant of their violet scented everything, I can’t justify laying down money for anything of theirs. I don’t want a product that will make me feel ill, and it’d be such a hassle to buy it online and deal with returning it.

La Mer or Cle de Peau products

Ladies, bite the bullet and purchase a Clarisonic. Life changing. I went from cystic acne to people stopping me and complimenting my complexion.
