How often do you change your skincare regimen?

How often do you change your skincare regimen? How do you incorporate new products?

I try not to change everything all at once!  I figure changing cleanser is less stressful on the skin than moisturizer, just because moisturizer is on your skin for hours, while a cleanser is rinsed off.  I prefer rotating in a new product every 2-3 weeks.

Now that I finally found a routine and brand that works I don’t plan to change ever. I used to change all the time looking for something better because nothing seemed to work quick enough but staying with one brand consistently has had all the difference. I don’t see myself buying any new skincare items.

My go to moisturizer for day is one of my 2 fav tinted spf 30 daytime moisturizers – Jose Maran or Dr. Denese spf 30 day cream. Of late, I did try both the light and the full coverage foundations from the TARTE AMAZONIAN Clay line – love them – both of them seem too much if I have a tinted moisturizer on under so I use my Dr. Pericone Amine Complex with Vit C under the TARTE foundations. If I use BE foundation (or a radiance vs foundation by them) then use of one of my fav tinted spf moisturizers is fine over my Dr. Pericone Amine Complex. I put on such a light buffing of BE – and I use the matte BE foundation now that it’s out over the glittery origional one.

though I have very dry sesitive skin I change my skin care regimen about 3 times a year. ut I have to as my skin reacts extremly to weather changes, I have a more “oily” regimen for the cold months, another for spring and fall and a ultra light but moisturizerin for summer. these are all product I’ve been using for a long time, though I no my skin now that good that I sometimes experiment with new products in summerand fall as my skin is a little less sensitive then.

I tend to change it every time a set of products finish, so maybe every 2-3 months, I don’t like to waste things so I couldn’t ever change it in a few weeks!

I only change my routine temporarily if my skin is too dry and I need to use moisturizer more often/fewer acne products. I always use Murad Clarifying Cleanser at night to keep my skin clear and because it removes all of my makeup, but I use any gentle cleanser in the morning. I really like Origins cleansers. I sometimes use Philosophy Oxygen Peel, a face scrub or a skin clearing mask when the mood strikes me. Maybe I should be more regimented about that.

Depends on my mood or my skin condition. If I feel like going shopping for new skincare products, I’d probably replace the old ones. If my skin is acting badly, I would probably try to change a certain skincare product just to improve the skin condition a bit.

I also try not to change everything at once, otherwise it is hard to say what is causing problems. My current routine seems to work, because blackheads are growing more sparse, but I think i’ll leave out retinol for summer so that I don’t have to worry so much about being in the sun. Also I change to spf 50 and a lighter moisturizer for night.

Personally, I don’t change up skin care regime unless I find a product is no longer working my skin or has been discontinued. I have had basically the same skin regime for over 6 years and my skin is blemish- and wrinkle-free and my hyperpigmentation and under eye dark circles have become lighter and less of an issue.

It depends on the state of my skin if I break out or my skin tends to have dry patches , I’ll automatically change my skincare to adjust to my skin.I may change the cleanser or the toner or even the moisturizer. I might even introduce some special treatment like a pimple cream or a specific mask. On the other hand when my skin is fine and there are new products out there I will also change my skincare, I’m just too curious about new products and to tell the truth I’m still searching for the HG eye cream, skin brightener etc…

When I find products I love those are what I use for a long period of time. Since Christmas though I’ve changed my day moisturizer and pore scrub. I am loving Neutrogena new naturals; though i’ve only tried the pore scrub so far. Anyway I change it when I find new products I want to try but I don’t do it that often, maybe twice a year.

Oh I’ve been doing the same thing for months. I have acne prone skin so once I find something that works to keep my skin clear, I’m afraid to mess with it lol.

Plus I like finishing my products before trying something new.

I usually just change my facewash and try a new one when it finishes.

I have skin that’s very prone to breaking out, so I only switch when I need to. Basically, I stick to the same thing year round and just add Cetaphil lotion on dry patches in the winter. I do change my eye cream though, because honestly, I can’t tell the difference. None of the two I’ve used have gotten rid of my dark circles and I’m too young to tell any other kind of difference.

When i decide I dont like the product or I finish a bottle. Right now (as of a few days ago lol ) Im using cetaphil in the morning, loreal 360 cream cleanser at night, and cetaphil moisturizer. I can pretty much wash my face with anything- its the moisturizer thats a problem.

I am with Babyu21! Now that I finally found a routine and brand that works for me I really don’t need to introduce anything new or change because it’s working great for me (and it only took 55 yrs to find that). I can anticipate I will change if my skin changes again or there is something in a line I trust that has more peptides/retinol that will help with aging. But that would be all I need. My skin is turned into the best it ever has been with today’s great products and especially use of my Clarisonic! Who would have ever thought I was not cleansing well enough before my Clarisonic or that it would make such a HUGE difference in the quality/clarity/tone/evenness of my skin!
