We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Talk about gadgets for girls… Such an unnecessary gimmick and I am falling for it more and more by the second! I was on the fence about champs-elysees… thanks to this, your review and the swatch gallery I am definitely going for it. You are the best Christine!

this is not new by any means. back in middle school (over 10 years ago) i had some cheapie fruit-flavored BonBon lipglosses with the same slider packaging. lol.

I remember the bonnie bell stuff! Avon did the same thing with their lipsticks too a few years back. I remember seeing a Reese Witherspoon commercial for the product on television.

I love the way these lipsticks open. So nice not to have to handle a top or put it on a restroom countertop, just slide it open, apply and slide it shut. Definitely a good idea.

The design is actually based on another Guerlain lipstick that existed many a year ago, but yes I had a bonnebell lip balm that was similar in my tweens and opening and closing this one brings me the same sort of nerdy glee.

I love these new lippies from Guerlain. I bought: Coque D’or, Nahema, Qaund Vient L’ete, Chamade, Bloom Of Rose, Rose Bengale & Fleur De Feu. I still prefer the rouge G line but only by the slightest bit !!!!!!!! I will be buying more Rouge Automatiques though, love them.

I have no idea how you get 8 hours wear out of these. I have a few of them and I wore 165 the other day and it did last well, but by no means for 8 hours. I think it was more like 4, although there was still some stain left over. Makes me wonder as well, how you count it, is it until the lipstick completely disappears, or is it just the time while it still looks even, fresh, not patchy and fading?

I feel like this packaging is very vintage inspired! I know back then women had small compacts, trinkets, and gadgets like these. Very cool. Everyone should research a little about the history of makeup and its packaging!

Do you have to push the lipstick all the way up like that?
Like, is it possible to stop the little “lever” further down the shaft and apply it without it pushing back in or anything?
