How does your beauty/makeup routine change for Spring?

How does your beauty/makeup routine change for Spring? Does it change?

.

I do like to think about using softer or brighter colors — less vampy, plummy kind of shades, but I’ll still do them if the mood hits.

A lot less dark lips for me but what makes me really happy is that even through my sunscreen I darken up to being able to wear NC15 w/o having to mix in white pigment too make it match. Why oh why doesn’t MAC make an NC5 foundation????

My routine doesn’t really change. I’m in school or at work most of the time and I try to keep it minimal so I don’t worry about it throughout the day.

I also don’t wear a lot of eye makeup because for some reason people don’t take me seriously when I do something other than mascara and eyeliner. I don’t even live in a conservative city (LA for crying out loud!) and some people (like my professors and classmates) still somehow connect “more makeup” with “airhead.” So frustrating sometimes.. Sorry to rant!

Mine doesnt really change besides using spf more often. I am looking for a self tanner though so hopefully a good one with be in my spring/summer routine soon!

I notice myself focusing more on skin care, restoring what the dry winter air damaged. In Spring, I use a lot of highlight and luminizers to acheive that etheral glow. Of course blush, and lips painted in flowery colors.

I usually wear less makeup. I don’t wear foundation. Lots of sunscreen. I sometimes wear a self tanner w/spf. I am usually outside enjoying the summer months in the mountains. when there’s a special event I will wear more.

I switch from powder to tinted moisturizer. I really like Laura Mercier. Or I’ll only wear concealor. Also, I use coral or bronzy peach blushes and Shiseido hydro-powder shadows. I like these shadows bc I can just use my finger to apply bc I don’t like to spend too much time in the AM.

I tend to wear brighter more fun shades in the summer. I stay away from darker shades unless going out for a night on the town. I also tend to do bright lips, which I LOVE. It matches my nail polish 🙂

I also try to use brighter colors. I LOVE fall/winter colors, so Spring time is always a challenge for me to work at being creative with new colors that aren’t so dark! 🙂

I tend to go lighter on the lips- more glosses rather than lipsticks. I also find that there tends to be more of a difference between day and night make-up in the Spring/ Summer. Fall/ Winter make-up seems to make the transition more easily from day to night without much change.

I don’t use liquid foundation as much, unless I am going out! For day time, I would use natural colors with maybe a bold bright color to make it look cool. Darker eye colors would still be used for nighttime…sometimes, depending on where or what I do. But I try to use less makeup overall to look natural. :]

As far as colors go, not much. But as it gets warmer I like to go less heavy. I like to play with different colored eyeliners and do a light nude eye with a spike of color via eyeliner. And if my face is good, I may stop wearing foundation all togather.

Abril Avatar

I stop wearing foundation. Only apply concealer under the eyes, do my eybrows, neutral eyes and lipgloss/lipstick and natural blush like trace gold or springshine!

Honestly, it really doesn’t! I mean, I might not wear as much makeup on the really hot days when I know I’m likely to sweat a little, but in terms of colours and choice of styles, I don’t base those on the seasons. If I want to wear a bright colour in the winter and a dark cool shade in the summer, I will.

I don’t really think about changing my routine, but I seem to be in the mood for bright and fun colors more in the spring and summer compared to all the vampy and smokey looks I usually do in the winther 🙂

I go from solid brunette with some warm highlights, to light brown with alot of golden blonde highlights! I also do more corals on my chheks and lips, and layoff the eyeliner on my waterline for some gel liner on my upper lashline. Oh, and definately more peachy eyes!

I go a shade darker on the foundation but that’s about it. I don’t consciously stop wearing reds but I usually don’t reach for them as often. And I tend to wear more salmons and corals.

Brenda Avatar

I find I wear less makeup, sometimes none, because my skin changes about 2 to 3 shades and evens out quite nicely. I use more golds/peaches/bronzes on the eyes and usually no foundation but concealer where needed. Very little makeup though, light application all around.

Iliana Avatar

I tend to use peach/pink/coral shades and brighter/more vibrant colors. For the colder months, I tend to stick to darker/muted colors. 😛
