How do you store your lipsticks/lipglasses?

How do you store your lipsticks/lipglasses? How do you organize them?

I use shallow/deep drawer organizers from The Container Store (they run maybe $3-6 each).  For some brands, I may store laying down, but generally, I like to store them standing up.  I organize by both brand and tier, depending on how many I have within a brand.

I have them in one of those plastic 3-drawer thingies that you can get at any Wal Mart. The top drawer is all nudes/bronzey colours, the middle if oranges/corals/peaches and the bottom is all reds/pinks/purples/weird colours (like black and blue and stuff). It’s not the best, because I still have to dig around to see the labels and find what I want, but I haven’t gotten around to re-organizing. 🙁

I store my MAC Lipglosses and other glosses I use on a regular basis in a stackable container that Makeup By TiffanyD, my favorite YouTube guru, recommended. I store my lipsticks and the rest of my lipglosses in my lipstick containers that I purchased from The Container Store. The lipglosses that don’t stand up are stored laying down in other containers that I bought from Walmart.

I keep my MAC lipsticks in a small container w/ three clear drawers, organized by shade. I have my pinks/plums in one drawer, nudes/corals in another. My Dazzleglasses are in the 3rd drawer. My Lipglasses are in an old school Caboodles case with some of my other makeup. I also keep the Lipglasses that I use most often in a top drawer with my Lancome lipsticks.

i store mine layed flat in a make up drawer, its not ideal but even if they were stood up with the labels showing i still couldnt see the colours as most of my lippies are mac and i cannot for the life in me see the name on the sticker and it winds me up so i take a silver sharpie pen and write on the tube the name of the colour, i do it on the lids of paint pots too. my eye sight is crap by the way.

I don’t have too many – maybe 10-12 – but I needed a place to store them so that I could see the shades without going through a handful. So I use a coconut shell that I had left over from dinner once. It looks very exotic and strange in my bathroom…

I have one of those office narrow baskets I got at target. I store them standing up inside it with the bottom that has the shade name facing up so I know which shade I’m getting. I have them organized by shade so I can easily grab them. I have reds at the top then it goes down in intensity till you get to nudes at the bottom. The only problem is my glosses, I’m still trying to figure these out. At the moment they’re laying down so I have to dig. I do have them sectioned by brand though, NYX in one group, MAC in another, and everything else in its own group.

I don’t have that many lip products. Maybe only 20-ish items? (lots of them were gifts). I just stash them all in a rectangular shaped tupperware container and store them in one of my bathroom drawers.

I have lipstick containers from THE CONTAINER STORE so they all have a place and know when I’m missing one ahem ahem her name would be “DAISY I HAVE A LIPSTICK MISSING!!!!!!” I love having a place for everything it lets me know if something is missing

I scooped nearly all of my lipsticks out of the tube and put the in empty mufe 12 flash cases. you can fit 12 tubes of lipstick in each case. In one instance I had two tubes of mac’s coconutty and both tubes fit in a single well. To take the color with I simply scope out a little into a nice little case I got from the occ website and it works great for me.

I untubed my 30+ lipsticks and put them in stackable pots purchased in the bead container section at Michaels (storage box/30-pots/$8.99). A great rainy day project that I learned from a Dustin Hunter tutorial. Next, his lipglass project.

I store them in the first two draws of my Japonesque Pro Studio Cabinet.
I don’t own lot of lipgloss and most of my everyday colour I depot into my lipstick compact. One draw is mostly taken over by liptars.

I got a lips stick organiser from ebay and I organise them buy color and I store them up side down so I know which color I am picking up. I have one for lipsticks and lipglosses although I think I may need to buy a couple more just to have by me.

I printed the colour of that item mostly from swatches & label it on my makeup ie eyeshadow palette, lipsticks, etc.& I store them in a row in the clear container where each of them heading the label in the front 🙂

Lipsticks label up standing in a container. Lipglosses standing upright in a similar box container. Both containers are in a mini bar fridge that sits in our large bathroom. Our bedrooms and bathrooms get very hot on Summer afternoons – thermometer often reads 97 degrees F. Nothing worse than coming home to a dressing table full of sweaty melted lipsticks and lipgloss oozing out of their containers! Winter is so much easier – I can just leave them out!!!

Fortunately or unfortunately, I have a record amount of lipsticks and glosses (200+). I keep my collection in my refrigerator. I only use a few at a time.

in especially-made-for-lipsticks Ikea containers with slots for 24 lipsticks . lipsticks i use the most are closer to me and i rotate hues during the change of the seasons. all my lipsticks are upside-down so i can read their names easily.

When my lipstick/gloss collection first started growing I bought them their own separate makeup bag…but now it’s outgrowing the bag and it’s getting difficult to rummage through them all ;(
