Disappointing to me. I wish it would have been in special packaging, not just the pig being on the outside box. It looks like a lovely color though!
Agreed that it’s a bit disappointing that the special packaging is only on the cardboard box.
Also while I’m sure it’s a nice blush, with the pig association, the marbling in the product makes me think of pork. (Sorry!!! ?)
Now I can’t un-see it.
Lol ! Mimi , your right , …..now I canโt look at this blush without thinking of pork! And Iโm Vegan ! ……
@Alison, @Mary : Sorry guys!!! ???
The bright side of this blush looking like bacon is that any temptation I might’ve been feeling is gone!
This color is definitely a major void in their blush shade range. But LE? SMH. This line is virtually allergic to cool-based, pink shades. I guess it’s better than nothing, but it feels like nothing more than a tossed bone.
It’s disappointing for me tbh Hourglass could have made the effort to emboss in red the symbol of the Lunar New Year, on the top cover of the blush packaging, and not on the box that is recycled/disposed of. If a brand releases a product as a special edition, then make it truly special. Otherwise, you can’t distinguish this blush from the other Hourglass blushes, unless you check the shade. I find that a product release that celebrates a special occasion should be different than a limited edition one.
This is exactly why I didn’t purchase the Becca Berlin highlighter, even though I love the city. With the famous city gates only imprinted on the makeup itself, just a few uses would render it into just another Becca-Flying-Saucer.
Totally agree with you Nicole D!
The color looks completely different on the Sephora site…I’m curious to see how this will swatch!
Try as I might, I cannot find this on the Sephora site, only Hourglass. The one on HG looks the same. What am I missing?
It was there for only a few hours. I’m in Canada and I saw it on Sephora during the first day for Lunar new year product promotion, I was still hesitant on whether or not to get it, and a few hours later it was sold out and removed. Hopefully they restock because that amount of quantity limit is pathetic.
Curious to see how intense the colour swatches. The pan looks interesting.
Eagerly awaiting swatches, but will reserve my opinion about it until then. This may just be the “One” for my every day blush, though.
It’s very pretty, but I’m with everyone else. A little effort on the packaging would have been nice.
This looks like an absolutely stunning color. Only wish the packaging had the pig on it as a reminder of the Chinese lunar year celebration. The trade-off would have been the increase in price and it’s a risk they didn’t want to take, which makes sense. So instead of a truly collectible piece, it comes across as a nod bordering on pandering to the Chinese market. But I bet the swatch and quality is good. It’s Hourglass, after all.
Darn it. It sold out ๐
ugggh. I already bought this. I don’t care if a pig is embossed or not. I’m not big on that anyway. But that color….just had to get it
This blush is already sold out on Sephora Canada, in less than 24 hrs.
Product now shows as no longer available so most likely will not be restocked. Not meant to be for me I guess.
I don’t think it officially launched, when I tried the link from the sephora email today about their lunar new year products it went to a blank error page.
For those who prefer this shade, which is more uncommon, then this is perfect for you.
But, to be honest, I think the brand’s blushes are overpriced for what you get.
Looks like bacon.
This looks like a perfect blush for me but I have a real bee in my bonnet with regard to Hourglass’s “loyal customer rip-off” pricing, which I’ve ranted about in past and it has made me not want to support this company.
This sort of looks like that berry shade from the face palette from Christmas 2017. I really liked that shade. It’s weird that whenever they make these types of colors they are always limited edition.
Come on! I’m a pig! Could they have stamped it with a pig’s snout or something! It’s a lovely color, right in my color wheel, but I have enough blushes to last me quite a few years. Unless they would have stamped it with a pig’s snout lol!
I want this as I love this formula….but it appears already sold out everywhere? I can’t even find it on Sephora.
Pretty color, but it will be a skip for me. I am done purchasing blushes for a good long time. I have way too many. Plus, there’s no special packaging to entice me into it.
Look at the colour of the blush, I can smell soy sauce prepared pork ?
Christine, do you have any idea if this will be released in Sephora and other places? It seems it’s already sold out on the Hourglass link.
They said it was exclusive to their site last I saw!
Awww! Iโm loving the shade and want it! Oink! Oink! ?
If it applies as soft as the trio highliter it would be perfect velvety soft.
Used the link and got this time! Thanks Christine! On Hourglass site I had it in my cart and it sold out before I could buy it.
Go on Neiman Marcus right now! The same thing happened to me. Just saw this. Christine found it!!! Yay!
I think itโs lovely and just ordered it from Neiman Marcus (15% off if you sign up for emails) I too wish it had a pig on the front but as long as it looks pretty on I will be happy!
If this is going to be another LE item that gets sold out before any swatches are available then they can have it. I’m done playing that game. (And I love Hourglass!)
Also underwhelmed by the packaging but at least they aren’t charging a premium for the blush.
