Really not a fan of MAC’s Mineralize Skinfinish Natural. I wouldn’t say it’s the WORST (I haven’t tried many), but it breaks me out like you wouldn’t believe!

I am like that w/ some of MAC’s powders too. I believe most likely it’s the BISMUTH used to maintain freshness of the product. It’s supposedly very irritable to sensitive skin. That is why sadly, even though Clinique is kinda as gently as they come…they use a lot of Bismuth in their powders. It makes my skin so itchy an break out more than anything else. So I nominate Clinique Powders (loose or pressed.)

I love the pressed MAC Blot Powder that MAC of course still makes, but I hated the loose powder version of the MAC Blot Powder. No wonder they’ve stopped making that one, it always made me look too white, powdery, and fake if too much of it came out of the container. It looked horrible on me!

By far the worst finishing powder IMO is Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil. It is full of Bismuth and made me want to rip my face off to make the itching stop!! Could not wait to get home and wash it off and throw the container of junk away!

ooo!! I HATE REVOLON PHOTO READY POWDER!! I had it for a few months and it’s basically gone not because I used it all but the powder is so chalky it just fell apart on its own! I will never purchase it again.

MAC powders, by far. Tried them all, had different problems with each including the skinfinish (made me oily really fast), studio fix (broke me out), sheer loose (went on patchy and muddy), careblend (not too bad, just prefer a translucent powder), blot powder (heard horrid stories).

I don’t know that I’ve encountered a “worst”. I have issues with MUFE HD powder because it seems to fly all over the place when I try to pick it up on my brush and when I touch the brush to my face. I’ve had similar experiences with Too Faced Primed and Poreless loose finishing powder but I only ever use that in small areas and I find picking it up with my finger works really well (to put under my eyes and around my nose!).

i had no idea about bismuth! this is so helpful! i would say the worst would be mac MSF natural, it looks cakey on me. but i have not tried alot of setting powders! i really likes mac prep and prime translucent finishing powder though!

I didn’t really like the covergirl pressed powder. It was a loooong time ago and i dont even remember what it’s called. It was just really cakey and i tried many different ways to put it on. It just didnt work. at all.

I’m not a fan of MAC Careblend. I’ve used much cheaper powders that have done a better job and haven’t made me look half dead. That being said, Collection 2000 Sheer Loose Powder is really quite rubbish, but for less than a fiver I can’t really complain too much. Really don’t like Mineral Veil by Bare Escentuals because it makes me really oily in a really short space of time. Plus the colours don’t suit me.

I have tried many powders from many brands. M.A.C, Shu Uemura, Dior, NARS, Lancome, Stila, Clinique, Bare Minerals, Laura Mercier, Make Up For Ever, Lise Watier, Cover FX, Vichy, Smashbox, Tarte, Sephora, Bobbi Brown, Korres, Amazing Cosmetics, Ben Nye etc. Let’s just say A LOT. And I’ve tried pressed, loose, bronzers, etc. But two that I must say I dislike the most whether it be because of color pay off, consistency, finish, etc would have Clinique and Cover FX. Some of my favorites include Shu Uemura, Dior, Laura Mercier, Ben Nye, and Bobbi Brown. It’s just a matter of finding the right technique and application for each. Good luck hunting!
