I also have to go with good, old-fashioned Witch Hazel. I’ve tried more expensive products in the past, but I never noticed much of a difference. In fact,Witch Hazel is a primary ingredient in many high priced toners

Yes! I’m also going with Witch Hazel. I started using it at the end of last year and I’ve noticed that my skin has considerable calm down since using it and it still keeps my skin calm!

I’m English so simple isn’t new to me. I’ve loved almost everything I’ve tried except this. Here it doesn’t have witch hazel in it though :s?

Rengirl Avatar

Put me down for witch hazel too! I mostly use it plain but I have a second bottle with WH mixed with crushed aspirin for times when my skin is acting up (aka, TOTM).

Something wrong with my skin…
Many of my friends love this product but I can’t use it..
I tried for 2 weeks and started to grow white spots everywhere on lower part of my face especially my chin
And had to stop after that..
I tried one more time few months later after my skin goty better as it s v expensive and I might have eaten something cause the spots at that time
But same problem again
At the end I just gave it to my friend who loves it. 🙁

Santa Maria Novella Rose Water or Mario Badescu aloe vera toner. Both toner without any alcohol content…..Alcohol strips away the natural oil and I am referring to Clinique’s toners. Also, Clarins toner are great. So is Kiehls Calendula Herbal Extract Toner….pricey.

i use thayer’s alcohol-free rose petal witch hazel. my skin is dry, sensitive, and prone to breakouts (welcome to adult acne, folks). this is refreshing, gentle, smells great, and lasts because the bottle’s pretty big. $8 for a lot of product, and it has vitamin e and aloe vera to soothe your skin. i used proactiv’s before, but that just tightened my skin and made it shiny. this rose one is great product that really balances and rejuvenates the skin.

agreed with using thayers! Your skin sounds like mine, except it’s combination oily with dry flakes (even flakey ON the oily areas!) Ugh…it’s a nightmare. I’d love to know what sort of foundation you use if you like yours…

IMO Lancome Tonique Confort is the best. I use toner almost every day and I can see a noticeable difference when I don’t. This toner is slightly moisturizing so it makes itchy sensitive skin feel so much better and accept other skin treatments better as well. Love it!

Thayers Alcohol-Free Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner. My skin texture has improved since using it & it is very reasonably priced! It also lasts awhile which is a great plus. My skin always feels resreshed after use & literally leaves me smelling like roses! Love it.

I use Jason’s Organics C-Effects Super-C Toner, Avalon Organics CoQ10 Repair Perfecting Facial Toner and Clinique Clarifying Lotion, they’re my favorites.

Paula’s Choice Resist Advanced Replinishing Toner. My skin has gotten drier over the years and this helps moisturize plus remove the last traces of makeup. In summer I only need to use this for my moisturizer.

DDF Glycolic 10% Toning Complex. This stuff is a godsend!! A bit on the pricey side ($40 for 8 oz) but a bottle lasts me months. I noticed a huge improvement within a few weeks of every day use, my skin is normally on the dry and congested side but this stuff makes it look healthy and radiant.

I love the clinique clarifying lotion. I use #4 in the summer when my skin tends to be more oily and #3 in winter. It’s fantastic!

For my everyday toner I like Caudalie Beauty Elixir and Pai Rice Plant & Rosemary BioAffinity Toner. For my “serious business” nighttime toner I like Alpha H Liquid Gold Glycolic Toner

Anna Hinojosa Avatar

Clinique Clarifying lotion! I’ve been using it for a while, and it has helped me with my acne so far! I got the number 4, it could be a little bit drying at first, but if you moisturize well, you won’t have any problem.

Rhonda Allison Raspberry Lotion. By far the best toner for my sensitive, acne prone, combination skin. Pretty much anything by RA is fabulous. The Eye Lift cream is equally amazing.

I’ve been using neutrogena alcohol free for years. I tried switching to Mario badescu seaweed toner but it broke me out. I also tried the toner from simple with which hazel but it was too light.

For me the best toner would be from the brand eskinol. The best part of the product you can still see the dirt that is left on your face even you already washed it twice. Even the other version works a lot especially if you have pimples.
This toner helped my skin so much =)
