I love the Essence ones. They are cheap, waterproof and long lasting(both the gel and the liquid ones). I just wish they had more colours, since they’re great for experimenting with.

I agree also, and it is available right now at sephora its a set though, and I heard from my beauty educator(work @ Sephora) that its suppose to be available by its self soon.

My favourite eyeliner is Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel eyeliner. This product really does stay on until you remove it. It is great for more mature ladies as it doesn’t creep into creases if you have a less than smooth eyelid. Jude xx @jadlgw

My fave for everyday ease are the MAC Technakohls. I also use GOSH Let’s Twist Eyeliner (in Canada at Shopper’s), which costs less but has a really similar texture. I find they go on (usually) smooth, with a good punch of color, and they last all day without smudging! No sharpening required!

Umm don’t know if this is allowed but I have two that I think are the best!

Gel: essence liner
Pencil: Prestige

Both are inexpensive and super pigmented. I like the Essence gel liner better that Mac fluidline!

This pencil by Milani is not safe for who wear contact lenses ,, I had really a bad time when I used it on my waterline. But it works good on the upper lash line

Milani’s Infinite Liquid Liner in Everlast and NARS Larger Than Life Long-Wear Liner in Via Veneto. Both last all day! I use the NARS for my waterline and it does not budge. The Milani is also the blackest liquid liner I have ever tried!

Liquid Eyeliner: Hands down is NYX Studio Liquid Liner and MUFE Aqua Liner.

Pencil liners: NYX SLIDE ON PENCIL, Marcelle – Marcelle Hypo-Allergenic Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil, UD Glide on eye pencils, MUFE Aqua Eyes and Prestige Total Intensity™ & Waterproof Eyeliner.

Gel pot: Annabelle Smudgepaint and MAC’s Fluidline & Chromaline.

Pencil – Estee Lauder double wear pencils, lasts forever, great pigmentation. Got one in a GWP once and now I can’t go back! I love them!
And the good old standard mac fluidline, although I’m hearing great things about clinique’s gel liners!

I feel like BareEscentual’s “Insider” waterline eyeliner never gets any love, and hands down it’s my absolute favorite waterline eyeliner. Otherwise, I like UD’s 24/7 pencils, but that’s becuase I typically use them for color. Not necessarily adding the perfect tightline to my eye look.

I have used many eyeliners, but none that have truly stood out, except for
Pencil: MUFE Aqua Eyes, Smashbox Limitless Onyx
Clay/Gel: tarte emphasEyes Amazonian clay eyeliner/shadow

MUFE is amazing, stays on the waterline very well, and Smashbox is a close second, but it’s not a true black, and with tarte, AMAZING, great true black pigment, a nice crisp clean line on the waterline when using a good thin eyeliner brush, but the pot dries up very quick. :(((

My personal take =].

Gel liner is best for my needs & age (45+ club)

I like MAC Fluidlines & BB gel inks, L’Oreal HIP is pretty good, too, but expensive for drugstore. I’m not even sure they still make them, I couldn’t find them the last time I looked for them in the store.

Best pencils for me are Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner pencils… MAC Pearlglides are great, too, although LE. 🙁

MAC – smolder (my all time fave for the longest) i’ve used this for years, years & years. IT gives you that perfect sultry, smokey effect. And it doesnt run down at all. & if you really wanna smoke it out. Run it over with a eyeshadow power. & also, i love wet & wild gel liner. ITS so creamy, stays on LONG, and the color POPS! not to mention..it’s so CHEAP ! 🙂

Want a pleasant and super-inexpensive surprise? Try ELF’s cream liners. Fantastic — they don’t budge, and they’re THREE DOLLARS! Their Metallic Olive is a gorgeous everyday color (they have 11 in all, if you go online!).

I’ve tried UD 24/7 and it’s pretty good, but I keep going back to my Prestige Total Intensity liners. Admittedly UD has a much wider range of colours. The L’oreal HIP Chrome liners hold their own as well, I reckon. I don’t really use liquid liners but I absolutely love felt liners! I’ve been meaning to try the Maybelline Hypersharp felt liner but haven’t had the chance to yet.

MAC liquidlast eyeliner the best! I’ve worn it to the beach, waterparks/pool, gym, out dancing and it is 100% waterproof and stays put all day.

I’m not a super Mac fanatic but I’ve tried the aqua eyes pencil, makeup forevers new waterproof liners and the stila eyeliners, sephora pencils, other mac eyeliners t they peel, flake or smear after a while or give u raccoon eyes. The only dtawback to MAC liquidlast is that u can’t make a super thin line with the way the brush is made and then its difficult to put on the lower lashline since its a liquid

Bobbi brown gel liner in 07 espresso ink . This color looks super natural on me (I’m NC30) . Pros : long lasting – waterline safe – easy to use – great color between black and brown ( blackish brown ) for daily use. Cons : it hard to find in My country ( KSA) – the price tag

I love both MAC’s Fluidline liners and Urban Decay Glide-On Eye Pencils. Fluidlines are gel liners that are smooth, can be applied with incredible precision (with the right brush, of course) and stay on forever. Glide-On Eye Pencils are creamy and easy to apply. Both eyeliners come in a wide variety of colors, especially the Glide-On Pencils.

Love MUFE Aqua Eyes, I use the 2L (brown) one on a pretty regular basis.

I doubt many people have heard of this brand, but when I was in Korea last year I found a brand called “Too Cool For School,” which I have been unable to find anywhere else. I bought a really pretty pink/brown twist-up eyeliner. It’s going to be a sad day when that runs out.

Urban Decay liners have always been amazing for me, color, staying power, application. They last too. A thing I like to do is put them in the fridge for a decent amount of minutes when I’m about to sharpen them. Less product gets wasted.

Too Faced Lava Gloss eyeliner is also a favorite.

I have a lot of Avon eyeliners too and they hold up really well. They are my go-to ‘cheap’ beauty purchase.

UD, as usual, and Benefits bad gal waterproof black was fantastic when i used it.. held up all day. MAC fluidline for gel, and l’oreal brush tipped liquid..

Shannon Avatar

I was really hoping to see Christine’s fave when it comes to waterline staying power… I’ve yet to find one that isnt gone after 30 min (no joke), I guess I just a have really slick waterline?

I love make up for ever’s aqua eyes in black and Lise waiter’s waterproof in noir intense! I’m pretty sure Lise waiter is huge for eyeliners in Canada, at least Quebec

Lucy Avatar

Girls, please help!

I can’t decide if I should splurge and get Bobbi Brown’s gel eyeliner (in black; $21 – I already bought the Ultra Fine brush but will return if other option is better) or NYX Slide On (Jet black).

I really need my eyeliner to not smudge and fade on my waterline!

Liz Avatar

for more affordable picks, I would go with Prestige Total Intensity or GOSH liners. I also like MAC Technakohls because they’re just so convenient, but comparatively, there’s little product, and I go through them really fast.

THEE best eyeliner in the whole world is Victoria’s Secret Eyeliner/Smudge tip in extreme black! It goes on SO ridiculously smooth and even! It last the entire day (9+ hours) and isn’t a mission to remove. If you’re looking for a new eyeliner that isn’t expensive ($12 or $14) and is SUPER AWESOME, then this one is for you!

I cannot live without this eyeliner, and will never use another. I totally freaked out not too long ago when I went to buy another one. They were sold out in every store I went to and was on back order online! I thought they were going to discontinue it 🙁 But! they haven’t! 🙂
