What’s the Best Brightening Eyeliner that you’ve tried?

Share your pick!  And don’t forget to share why 🙂

My answer:  I think it’s Make Up For Ever #23L, MAC NC30 Chromagraphic Pencil, and Sephora Blonde Ambition.

I totally agree with you on MUFE 23L, Christine. Also I have tried Japanese brand like Canmake. They have chubby highlighting eyeliners (kinda like Marc Jabcobs Twinkle Pop in Honey bunny) specifically for waterline area and they are in very beautiful and still subtle beige and light pink shades.

Hi Fuji! 🙂 I deeply love MJB products. I have all gel highliners, amazing, but I have not yet gotten a twinkle pop because I fear the tingling that people experience will irritate my skin. May I please ask you if you’d kindly share with me your experience? You seem well versed in the subject, nice to meet you! Cheers, Lotus

Anyone: How different is MJB (Wave)length & MJB LE Holiday blue liner in the set? I can’t find it in dupes.

Hi Lotus! I’m more than happy to share my point of view on MJB twinkle pops. I have Stardust and Au Revoir. To me it wasn’t “tingling” but more of a soothing cooling feeling in a good way. It didn’t make my eyes watery in my case. I don’t think I have highly sensitive eyes but I do wear contact lens on a daily base for 10-12 hours per day. Twinkle pops didn’t irritate my eyes at all. I have used them on both eye lids and waterlines. As long as there is no shimmer fall into my eyes, I am all fine.
Hope this could be helpful to you.:)

NYX Wonder Pencil in Light. It’s the perfect color for my skin tone. I tried the one from Rimmel, and it has amazing staying power, but it’s much too yellow for me.

Honestly, I don’t have any made specifically for that, i.e.: for the waterline. On the rare occasions I use a brightening eyeliner, I use UD 24/7 Glide-On Shadow Pencil in Peach or L’Oreal Silkissime eyeliner pencil in Highlighter. Very rarely, I’ll use Wet n Wild’s white eyeliner pencil.

I use NYX’s Wonder Pencil in Light a lot, and am actually pale enough to pull off the Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk without it looking stark, ha. If I had it, I would probably also nominate Illamasqua’s Precision Ink in Glister (and I’m not entirely sure but I think it’s being discontinued, so I wish Illamasqua would hurry up and get back to America before it is!). Sephora’s tokidoki line is of course long discontinued but I still find the Brillante Glitter Eyeliner in Unicorno to be really pretty.

I’m currently loving an NYX jumbo eye pencil in Pearl. I use their Wonder stick in other spots and love it, but it was too nude to “wake up” my eyes. I also think my complexion is just dark enough to make some shine a necessity to make an eye brightener show up. Another white stick I had (Avon, maybe? I can’t remember now) was a flat white and just looked weird. Anyway, this is a very new tip for me…I only read about it a month or so ago, so I’m still happily experimenting!

The only one I have is by Tarte, and I like it, but I can get the same effect with just about any skin-colored eye shadow and a flat brush.

Tokidoki’s Unicorno. I only bought one and I don’t know why because I consider that pencil worth more than all my other eyeliners combined. Only for the inner corner and under my lower lashline, of course. Too much glitter for the waterline.

Its not flesh/skintone colored but I love OCC’s Pool Boy…..its stunning & goes with literally every eye look I’ve created…….during the day I will lightly apply on waterline & night pile it on. Im NC 40-45.

MJB Highliners in Obey-ge & N(Ice) The lightest nyx wonder pencil is fun, the pixi highlighter, whatever it goes by, also nice. A good eye cream and glowing skin even better.. I also have to put down LIGHTSCAPADE by MAC. That MSF does everything! I always use it somewhere. 🙂 I like your choices as well, I can see them with your colouring.
One last mention: Original Midnight Cowboy formula is great for brightening!!! Kitten by Stila runs closely, but I love the original, especially for Holidays.
