Have you ever found a kiss-proof lip color?

Have you ever found a kiss-proof lip color? If so, what is it? If not, what’s the closest you’ve found?

Any long-wearing lip product that just clings and clings to lips–like MAC Pro Longwear Lipcolours and Make Up For Ever Aqua Rouge. I wouldn’t say either will make it 100% intact after a heavy-duty make-out session or anything, but it will survive at least a few kisses.

Peck-proof, maybe. But not if you be gittin’ down on it, know what I’m sayin’? No lippie stands up to hardcore lip locking!
LOL 😀

Back in the day, the Revlon Colorstay lipsticks were my choice for a long-wearing lip product. Remember when they first came out and they had the gold rings around the middle of the tube? 🙂

Exactly! These were truly the most amazing lipsticks ever, and I had almost every shade at the time. I don’t remember how “kiss-proof” they were, but they lasted an entire waitressing shift, 100% intact. I haven’t tried the “new” ones yet, but I’m curious to know if they’re at all similar.

My husband doesn’t like kissing me if I’m wearing *any* kind of lip product, unless it’s balm. Even then, he’ll make a face if he can taste it. (He also doesn’t understand why I wear makeup. “You always look beautiful.”)

I do reasonably well with MAC PRO Longware Lipcolour and Max Factor Lipfinity.

The trick for me is to make sure my lips are in good condition so they don’t peel, then the product lasts well.

Well, I have only tested the mabelline and revlon ones, and while they don’t come off, they change the color to some ugly looking thing which is gross. Now my husband always touches my lips with a finger to see if its coming off easily, which it is, he makes a face and chooses to kiss on the cheeks instead:) I ant stand those long wearing glosses, also for the reason that they dry like crazy on my lips and they are very uncomfortable to wear. Revlon balm stains(the fat crayons) are the only comfortable lip product that leave a nice satin on the lips, stay moisturized and if you blot off a little, you may be able to kiss without transferring a hell lot of color on to the other person. That’s my experience.

L’Oreal’s new Color Caress Shine lip stains are the only thing I’ve found that don’t transfer (and they provide great coverage too!) I was asked to test lip stains for Self’s healthy beauty awards, and this was one of them. I loved it, even better than (dare I say it??) my favorite YSL glossy stains!

I’ve tried everything, whatever product says it doesn’t transfer AT ALL is a lie. Maybelline 24 hr and Revlon Colourstay are the nearest to kiss proof. I tend to find that liner, powder, lipstick, and blot a few times over plus lipcote works better though…

Actually I have! The Soft Matte Lip Creams from NYX are kissproof! I’ve tried them out and they are amazing. If you are planning a long intense makeout session, they will fade away, but for a few harmless kisses, the color just won’t budge.
I just have to add I totally disagree with you on the Aqua Rouge. Those lip products are the worst I have tried in years! They’re terribly sticky and so not kissproof!

I’m a big fan of lip stains! No mess, no goop, no flavor unless I put a balm on top, which I usually do. I just picked up some of the Revlon Just Bitten stains and the boy and I love them! They last for ages! 🙂

The Kat Von D lip stains are totally kiss proof. I swear by them. My husband freaks out when I try to kiss him while wearing it and I’m like “no, it’s cool! This stuff doesn’t come off!” lol. They are drying, though.

Very few things are kiss proof – seriously. But I love the OCC Lip Tars for long lasting, vibrant color that is not too drying. I use a Revlon Kissable stain over it for moisture. Almost lunchtime and still going strong!

My favorite date night lippies, to be completely honest, are actually tinted lip balms. The Clinique Chubby Sticks and Maybelline Color Whisper tinted lip balms are my absolute favorite. My reasons for this? They barely transfer any color when I give my boyfriend kisses, and plus they make my lips super soft and kissable. 🙂

I love lipstick and I have soooo many shades but I always go for my MAC Ruby Woo. Completely transfer proof and when I apply it in the morning it doesn’t budge till I scrub it off in the shower at night. Very drying but covering my lips with balm for the night makes up for it.

I only wear it for special occasions, but Lip Ink, available from http://www.lipink.com/, is some serious stay-put stuff! It even requires a special solution to dissolve and remove it.
I tried oils (i.e. olive, jojoba and grapeseed) a couple of times, thinking surely those would break it down enough to wipe it all off, but I really had to scrub at my lips a lot and there was still some left behind afterwards.

As you might imagine, it is pretty drying and looks like hell on chapped lips. However, if you’re not chapped and you moisturize your lips really well after taking it off, all is well. Also, it tingles a bit like Duwop Lip Venom when first applied, so heads up to those that don’t like that feeling.

The price makes it more of a splurge item for me, but I love having a red and a nude on hand for long nights out or events where I can’t touch up or worry about my makeup.

YSL Glossy Stains are the only things that I found with no transfer… eating, drinking, kissing lol It does make your lip feel “tight”, it doesn’t necessary make my lips peel (which a lot of others do). I think it’s best to wear it with a lip balm on top after it dries.

NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Cruella. It’s matte so it stays on fairly long and just leaves a nice stain on my lips. I’ve had an emotional make out session with it and the color stayed true on my lips. And his hah

Kat Von D’s everlasting love liquid lipstick in the color backstage Bambi is 24 hour wear. I call it my party lipstick because I put it on before work and work all day, leave work go out all night and wake up the next day with lip color still intact. All without having to touch up my lipstick.
