Guerlain Terracotta Joli Teint Powder Duo for Summer 2015
Guerlain Terracotta Joli Teint Powder Duo for Summer 2015
A single powder, cleverly composed of two complementary shades: the bare minimum to reveal the unique radiance of every woman. Its warm shade? A softened sun-kissed powder, lighter than the legendary Terracotta bronzing powder. Its pigments are less intense and work in osmosis with the skin to make it glow without ever overloading it. Its coloured shade? A reviving pink for Blondes or apricot for Brunettes that blends with the sun-kissed powder to deliver a burst of radiance. The Terracotta Joli Teint powder comes in 4 soft and delicate harmonies to revive all skin tones.

These look beautiful~ I’m all for a less intense ‘bronzing’ powder. I will be curious to see how these combos translate. I tend to use a bit of neutral brown based bronzer or blush in the summer as a cheek colour and then put a pop of brighter blush on top. It gives the look of colour without giving that over the top fever cheeks looks that brighter blushes can lend. These you would have to wear combined because the colour section looks too small to pull a separate application out of it. I’m a brunette and I would be wearing the light blonde or maybe even the natural blonde .. rolls eyes… rather ridiculous to make assertions on hair colour IMO.
“and work in osmosis with the skin”…Ok, they should look up the definition of “osmosis” because I don’t think they know what it means. Guerlain go home, you are drunk!
Beautiful compact btw!
Agreed. I believe the word they’re looking for is synergy.
LOL!
hahaa nice catch
LOL!
Will they keep the 4 seasons compacts? As much as I find these gorgeous, the more customisable 4-toned powder is still my no.1!
Cosmetics are now becoming or have become to look like “all show” rather than the purpose to enhance once’s look with good products ingredients. I buy most of the times because of presentation but this is over reaching. Would had like this more had there been more the pink shade rather than the flesh shade.
I have reddish hair and fair skin. Which color would be best for my skintone?
Not sure why the blush shade is matched to the hair shade?? I’m brunette and I prefer pink blushes over apricot ones because of my skintone. Strange. Good they came out with colors for fairer skin. Hope it doesn’t have any fragrance or too much shimmer. Did they provide a price?
I see their pulling out the fancy words with osmosis. Yet, as another poster mentioned, they don’t seem to be using it right. Maybe its because I’ve taken too much chemistry and biology. It sounds like they are promising that powder is going to pass through membranes of my skin cells so I have an equal amount of powder inside my cells and on top of them. Why would I want that? Are they for real?
I also dislike the layout of this. With what tiny brush am I supposed to apply the blush shade?
Overall- NO
I really would love to see this reviewed. I love the concept of a toned down and more customized bronzer. But how do you get to that small amount of color? or is it mixed in with the bronzer? These are reminding me of the Too Faced Soul Mates at a much higher price range I am sure. I love Guerlain and in general they make great quality products. I was thinking about splurging on one of their bronzers this spring. There are no retailers near me. So, I rely on everything online. 🙂
Pretty! marketing hoopla but pretty!
How much is the product? There is only a $ listed
oh my! I must scoop up a 00!
I am kinda excited to try one of these bad boys out they don’t look muddy at all and they’re not too dark either
xx
I had my makeup done this week by Marcus Monson, Guerain’s makeup artist, and he used this product on me. I have red hair and fair skin and all other bronzers are too dark and look terrible on me. This product was perfect for me! He even used it as a crease eyeshadow, which was surprisingly lovely. I am so happy to finally have a bronzer I feel comfortable using. I purchased 03 Natural for Brunettes. The one for Blondes is very fair, perfect for those with truly porcelain skin. NOTE: This product does have a fragrance. That doesn’t bother me.
I hope these aren’t orangey!
I like that these bronzers look lighter and cooler, but I can’t get past the incorrect usage of “osmosis.” Which means: How do I trust their science to work on my skin, if they don’t know terms taught in basic high school biology and chemistry? I think Guerlain is full of BS on this one.
Plus tying the color names to hair color is stupid, IMHO.
I’m sure it was just a writer person who said that. theres no way their scientists don’t know what osmosis is
Yes, I realize that. But that’s the impression it gives. It’s poor writing.
I would think that that the chemists who developed the product would not be the ones who created the content for the marketing materials.

Guerlain has been categorizing their bronzers as “Blondes” and “Brunettes” for many years. It’s silly, but it is nothing to get alarmed about. All it means is that the “blonde” shades compliment complexions with pink undertones whereas “brunette” shades compliment complexions with golden undertones. Since you’re wearing this on your face and not your hair, look to your skintone when selecting a shade 🙂
Like reader Mary, I also had this used on me at a Guerlain event. It is sheer and meant to give an all- over healthy glow but since I am fair, the MA said it would work well as a spring/early summer bronzer on me. The MA used a large brush swirled in the bronze section to apply the classic “3” and then–with the same brush–went back to pick up a bit of the color and bronze to give life to my cheeks. This achieved a very natural and subtle look; the kind you’d get from being out and about on a warm and sunny day; not what you’d get from a day at the beach. By the way, Guerlain will be bringing out more Terracottas this year for people who want a “true” full on bronzer.
oooo I’m so excited for you to review these! I love have Terra Orra and Crazy Meteorites and just absolutely love them. 🙂
Really pretty .. I like how there is a hint of color along the edge ..
Monica.
Now available at Nordstrom online also 🙂
I love this powder! Use it for 2 weeks. Very very matt finish (after thy gym I’m staing matt), nice (but small) blush (I want this blush in normal size!). Ok for dry skin. And it’s not a bronzer. 03 (most dark with yellow undertone) more light that my always Chanel summer powder.
Beautiful shining
