Guerlain Wild Nudes (258) Ombres G Quad Eyeshadow Palette

Guerlain Naturally Collection features a new eyeshadow quad (I think there might be another one as well, but it wasn’t at Sephora) along with seven new, limited edition shades of Rouge G. Here are swatches!

Very Light, Pink undertones. Normal-to-Dry skin.

At first sight, I thought that was yet another Tom Ford redundant quad! For over $100 CDN, I want more than “ho-hum”. I have a Guerlain quad from ages ago that is lovely but this one – even at half the price it is – is just BLAH.

Lightest, Neutral, slight pink undertones. Dry skin.

I love the Rouge G formula. I like the shade of Deep Brown and surprisingly also Warm Almond. I am trying to force myself out of my comfort zone as my daughter tells me that I can wear those more peachy/nude lips. I wasn’t convinced but have worn a couple I picked up from Korean beauty brands and have received compliments when wearing so I am sticking with it! The eye shadow palettes don’t do much for me as I have similar color stories from my recent K beauty purchases. These are a lot more pigmented but I am enjoying the lighter pigmentation and just building where needed. The lighter pigmentation seems to be playing nicely with my wrinkly, textured eye lids.

Guerlain seems to be bringing out their autumn season first and I am thrilled with these autumn shades. Some of the lippies look a bit similar to each other, but the rosy brown aspects are divine.

Medium, Olive, neutral undertones. Combination skin.

Normally, I haven’t always been a quad or quint consumer, but this quad is so perfect for a lovely bronzey brown eye look. The only thing missing is an inner corner/browbone shade. I have to tell myself: “No! Just put a quint of your similar shades of MAC Pro Pan singles together, woman!”
Soft Tonka is also calling to me to ” come hither with thy credit card”!

Sorry Guerlaine, nothing here interest me. I’m sure there are many who’ll love this release though.
Of course I am very aware that not every makeup user have dupe upon dupe of this type of eyeshadows, they do look nice and friendly to all kinds of work places.
I’m also not that into warmer nude lipsticks, though I’m certain I have a dupe of at least one of these lipsticks.
For me to pay the cost of a Guerlaine product it has to really fill a hole in my collection and that is difficult!

I love this collection. The eyeshadow quad doesn’t have my allergens. The itens in the collection are pretty much in my actual vibe: nude.
