…scratches head…. Have I? Did I? Oh yes, anothe Nars Light Optimizer primer (can’t live without that stuff), Nars Oasis blush (love it almost as much as I love Sin) and few MUFE matte shadows…eggshell, dark taupe and Chocolate, but still don’t receive them.
What do you l ike most about the Light Optimizer primer?
It makes any foundation dewy. I don’t care for matte or satiny finished foundation, so I add light to it with this primer. Also prevents my foundation from creasing in fine lines. Is not thick as most primers are, so doesn’t make the foundation look conspicuous.
I know I could use some highlighter, but I love the softness this primer gives. Is not like BAM, like the Strobe Cream. Is more muted… Like your skin but just super healthy and perfected.
Lol, I could go on and on about this primer. I just love it, and cant live without.
My breakfast favorite? Omelette filled with mushrooms and cream cheese, with toasts made out of french baguette. Or any rustic french baguette toasted with avocado on it, plus my cup of pu-ehr.

Haul: Tons of hair product, Garnier facial cleansing oil (shockingly good for $6), and Lipstick Queen Velvet Rope lipstick in Black Tie. I cashed out my points and pretty much got it free, which is awesome but also says a lot about how much I shop there, haha. They’re new rewards program is hand-over-fist superior to Sephora’s, though.

Haul: Nothing this week, but last week I picked up MAC Good Kisser lipstick, got MAC Russian Red through Back-2-MAC, and I FINALLY committed to my ebay purchase I’ve been hemming and hawwing over for AGES – Guerlain Crazy Pressed Meteorites!! Gotta say I love them ALL!
Weekend plans: Study my vet nursing units, and a pyjama party on Saturday night!

How long is nyx 40% going to last, do you know? Are you hanging around Everett Ulta? Haven’t been there, but I worked at the Whidden in the 90s. Used to tool to Plymouth. So glad Ulta went to Braintree. But i’ll probably do another few simply vamp + simply red pencils, though mechanically, they aren’t the best… Also, other lips. Too bad Ulta doesn’t carry Nyx taupe blush. Online, there’s a lot of stuff not-in-store. + Nyx looks like the seagulls got at it, at times, + ALWAYS low stocked. budget good stuff always goes fast!

Haul: I went kind of shopping crazy – but all over the map – this week. Started with a couple pairs of high heel platform boots (which go with the tickets to see Dame Edna in January I picked up – putting the outfit together early of course LOL). Also grabbed a bunch of stuff for Halloween decorations, a bunch of movies on Amazon, that MAC book (though it hasn’t arrived and thank you again, I’m excited for that one). For makeup I got the Brooke palette, the bronzer and the blush, sculpt/shape compact thingy and FrankNFurter lipstick from RHPS. I also picked up an Estee BB I haven’t tried yet (they have three! THREE?! LOL). I keep eyeballing that Clinique Black Honey eyeshadow palette but I haven’t picked it up yet. Do you have that one yet? It LOOKS so pretty!
Weekend Plans: Folks want to go out to lunch this weekend (somewhere near but far, just to do a day trip before the weather turns too cold). That’s about it. I have more grapes to juice and a Halloween set to build so if I have time I’ll work on that.
Favorite Ice Cream Flavor: Ooh! I’m totes dairy free right now but I’ve been making my own “ice cream” with coconut milk and I make a KILLER chocolate, chocolate chip that takes just like ice cream! Either that or it’s been so long I don’t remember what ice cream tastes like anymore LOL!

The only thing is it has to be real maple syrup. It’s funny, but I grew up only having the real stuff and real OJ, that I cannot do the fake stuff for either. Like it’s a totally different taste!
Most people don’t eat pancakes/french toast every day, so getting the real stuff is the way to go!

I haven’t had a chance to play yet, but at least I’ll have something to do this weekend!
I’m still debating the big LORAC palette, but I don’t think I’ll be disappointed if I can’t grab it…

I’m currently recovering from a major accident that’s left me with some facial fractures and head trauma, so I won’t be doing much of ANYTHING anytime soon.
I did receive my Sephora order this week -just some BeautyBlender cleanser and the new Too Faced UNDER THE MISTLETOE kit and I ordered the BAD FAIRY nail polish from the Rocky Horror release from Mac—just need to get into the store to pick it up, but I’m not in any hurry.
While I’m homebound, I’m all about the snack-ies, and am loving the Haagen Daas Gelatos right now…Limoncello and Stracciatella are my favs!!!

HEY, hope you don’t have to have facial reconstruction. That’s a simply dreadful + horrible thing, a major MVA … and we all wish you up + about with no pain as soon as possible. I suppose the good news, if you could call it that, is that despite having a CHI, you avoided TBI! (and i feel like an ass for saying it, but it’s so true.) And that’s worth more than anything. Thank you all for the GW wishes–it is most appreciated! While I know my physical appearance is temporary, it is messing with my psyche and emotions right now because I look ghastly! I can only hope that there are no permanent effects. It’s gonna be a long, slow and hard recovery (months NOT weeks, as first thought….)

Yeah! I really like this formula personally. It’s been interesting to see people either have a lot of luck with it or almost none. I am a bit concerned though by people saying that the minis packaging leaves something to be desired. But if it’s a packaging issues then they will definitely be returned!

berry haute, black cherry, kiss me coral, coffee bean, and skyline pink. Berry haute is a fairly close dupe to up the amp, but it has to be built up more.
Buildable is nice, though, if only because you can enjoy different level of coverage – Up the Amp is pretty much one level, ha!

Haul: UD 24/7 liner in Underground; Sephora Jumbo Liner in Purple, which I was VERY pleasantly surprised by how nice the color/pigmentation is and the staying power; YSL 5 Color Couture Palette #9 (A/K/A the Love palette) which I may be returning; UD Pulp Fiction Palette and nail polish, neither of which I tried yet; the gorgeous Buxom Lip Gloss Roulette set; and…. the VICE 3 palette!! I LOVE Vice 3! Last year, I returned Vice 2 because there’s no way I could have pulled off many of those colors. Vice 3 and I? We’re going to be good friends! 😀
Weekend plans: I’m hoping to photograph some clothing and shoes I’ve had for years but haven’t worn. Many still have the price tags attached. I want to get them up on eBay and try selling as much as possible before Christmas.
Best breakfast food?: BACON! With biscuits and gravy coming in second. However, I rarely eat either of those. 🙁

Weekend plans: Spend some time with my hubby. He’s been put on night shift to train someone, with no immediate end in sight. Plus he’s been pulling some overtime. The kids and I haven’t seen much of him the last few weeks. I’m not sure what we’ll do. The weather forecast says sunny with highs in low 80s F, so probably something outdoors before the rain comes back.
Best breakfast food?: French toast made with homemade bread cut into thick slices, left over night to go stale, then battered in egg, milk, some powdered sugar and real vanilla extract. Served with butter and warm maple syrup, and a side of crispy bacon.

I’m also waiting on some LA Girl Pro Concealers (finally decided to try them) and a Torrid order of riding boots, jeans and flats…whoa…
Weekend plans: It’s my birthday Sunday…which explains my huge haul, right?…I’m going to a K-BBQ with my sisters on Saturday and then to popusas on Sunday and then probably watch Something Borrowed and rest…it’s kind of my birthday tradition.

Weekend plans: We need to start our wedding thank you notes, we also are cleaning because our agent is coming to take a look at our place to get it ready for selling, and I have a lot of laminate to cut for my students next week.

How are you liking the Nic’s picks set?
I have only used the face brushes but so far they are great. The duo fiber is great for highly pigmented blushes and clearing fallout and the cheek blush is great for blush. I haven’t used the eye brushes and I love the silver handles.

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in custard, Mufe mat velvet foundation, smashbox pore minimizing primer, too faced melted kisses holiday set, sephora favorites draw the line set, Anastasia Tamanna eyeshadow palette, MAC sin lipstick and MAC velvet teddy lipstick, Hourglass ambient lighting blush in mood exposure and I am absolutely in love with all of those products. And lastly too faced set with the three “shimmering” la creme lipsticks which I will be returning, they look so bad and are way too light in my opinion, I think I’m going to get a NARS velvet matte lip pencil with my store credit, I love the two I have in Walkyrie and Cruella, really want Train Bleu a deep aubergine color. Have you ever tried those? Oh! and two fragrances NEST midnight fleur and Gucci Guilty black! It’s been a good week ahaha

This was a busy and sad week, but it made me feel better to of course buy some makeup.. I ordered the Kat Von D holiday palette and the mini lipstick set (im hoping is going to be as good as last years set). I also ordered the benefit blush set along with urban decay perversion cream liner (first time to try this one, I was using Mac fluidline until it dried up, it was a year and a half old, but I kept stirring it to keep it going. I hope perversion is good) . Ordered the limited edition Sugarpill lucid chromalust and sparkle baby palette. The camp cosmetics kgb palette. I bought Kat Von D tattoo liner (a repurchase, as always) in store. So many pretty things popping up this time of year, it’s hard to keep up! I am hoping they release the Urban Decay LTD vice palette again, as that one looked beautiful, and I do not own hardly any of those shadows…
Weekend plans are just to take it easy and relax.
Favourite ice cream is coffee, strawberry, vanilla.
Favourite breakfast item would be French toast or waffles and strawberries.

I did receive the lipstick set this past week. So far I tried out wonderchild, it was sheer, and sort of flaked away during wear (?). But I do like that they are larger minis compared to last years set, although the quality was a lot better, creamier last year. I like that the line has more unusual colours, but the quality needs to be there too… So basically I feel a bit sad for the new Kat Von D lipsticks.
