Weekend Plans: Bathing my dogs (yellow and black labs), working on the nursery (it’s a never ending project), and working on my own room. I may go look at the bedding sale Macy’s is having. I’m visiting with my dad on Saturday and going to a Super Bowl party on Sunday 🙂
Last place for vacation: Las Vegas, to visit my husband’s parents. Btw, where did you visit in AZ? I live in the Phoenix Metro area and have been itching to get up to Prescott and Flagstaff for some ‘winter’ weather.

Weekend plans: my father-in-law’s birthday on Sunday 🙂
Last place you went to for a vacation?: Savannah, Georgia a few months ago. It was our second vacation there, we love the look and feel of this town.

No, sorry – I haven’t received anything from Sleek yet.
Haul: None this week unfortunately, saving money for my anniversary trip later in February. Planning on picking up one of UD’s new Naked lipglosses after that though.
Weekend plans: Going to an SCA fighting tournament to watch my boyfriend compete. Not a huge football plan so I will likely watch the Puppy Bowl on Sunday instead.
Last place I went on vacation: Not counting going back home for the holidays, I went to DC last summer. It was amazing!

Haul: The NARSissist Cheek Kit- I really didn’t want to buy it after seeing the review but I was in the store and kept walking past it and it swatched beautifully. I walked away about 3x whispering to myself.. Christine didn’t recommend it, don’t buy it. But I couldn’t resist. and I actually am enjoying it!! 🙂 Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Etheral Glow and Dim Infusion (amazing!!) Dolce & Gabbana Passion Eyes Mascara deluxe and NARS Illuminator in Orgasm (VIB Rewards). Stocked up on Ardell lashes, Mario Badescu Glycolic Foaming Cleanser.. and a few hair mousses and other misc. necessities. I want to make an order from Ulta this weekend!! (that’s my real plans ;)). Any recommendations? Anyone, feel free to jump in 🙂

Weekend plans: Going to a Super Bowl party.. don’t particularly care for FB, so I hope there is good food 😉
Last vacation: Cozumel, Mexico. Was so beautiful- anything would be hard to top it. Were going to St. Thomas in March, so we shall see how that is 🙂 I’m really looking forward to getting away from the cold NJ weather!!

My friend’s birthday is this weekend, but since she has to work for the majority of the day, I’m not sure if she’s going to do anything this weekend.
As for a haul, I got a few products from her that she gets for free. I haven’t bought anything but some Biore face wash, which I think I’m gonna exchange for my Salma Hayek since the fragrance in the SH doesn’t irritate my eyes.
I hope she gets a little time to celebrate her birthday!
Haul: Too Faced’s Chocolate Bar palettes (one look at it and I was smitten) and NARS Kauai which, to my delight (I was literally doing a happy dance!) IS available at Sephora! It is SOOOO gorgeous and the light side is a virtual twin of UD Maui Wowie (I have 2 of ’em – old dreadful formula and new almost-as-dreadful formula) but WITHOUT THE GLITTER FALLOUT.
Weekend plans: my long term contract has ended so I have my life back. I plan to go to the gym, take myself out for lunch, coffee and some spoiling, catch up on reading, make bread – all the things I’ve not had time for since November!
Last vacation: probably our quick getaway to Quebec City at the end of summer. I need to go somewhere warm….

You think YOU’RE happy – I’m over the moon because I really didn’t think it would be available at Sephora. AND it is soooo beautiful and wearable. The SA (who was just about as excited as I was; the spring line had just arrived that day or the night before) was telling me that the rep told them that NARS is revamping their line; some of the duos are being phased out and it’s very possible that Kauai will become one of their permanent duos.
Fingers crossed it becomes permanent!
Haul: (All from Walgreens) A buffer for the ridges on my nails, some clear hair ties, Goody Spin Pins, Conair Firm Hold Bobby Pins, and some Conair hair pins (the ones that are more open and used for updos), and some clips to hold my hair up when I curl it. Thinking about going to Ulta tomorrow to use the 20% off to buy some Mario Badescu Glycolic Acid Toner.
Weekend Plans: Homework tomorrow (oh the life of a grad student), then Superbowl party on Sunday. Go Broncos!

Last Vacation: I go to Vegas pretty regularly just to get away from my life in L.A. for a few days. Also my parents live out there so I get to visit.

Haul: A whole bunch of LA Girl nail polishes, Rubelite looks amazing and I can’t wait to try it. Also eagerly awaiting my Sleek Garden of Eden palette and the Pink Lemonade blush trio!
Weekend plans: My best friend is getting married in 2 months so we’re getting together tonight to go over makeup ideas (and drink lots of wine!). Sunday, we are going boating with my husbands family on a nearby lake.
Vacation: Was actually our honeymoon last year, we went on a three week road trip round the South Island of New Zealand and it was incredible!

Haul: did place an Ulta order + re that: do you know the difference between the codes? I saw 3 separate ones + thought maybe they just indicated the source of where you got the coupon. I used the one that came in an email. The ad specifically excluded Naked 3. I got 20% on Lipstick Queen, Smashbox, It, Jack Black, NYX (that Snow White is NEVER intact + unopened in store), + Clarisonic replacement heads. Nothing was excluded. I guess that it did include ‘high end.’ but Ulta doesn’t go quite as expensive as the big S.
Plans: maybe putting up a winter, as distinct from a Christmas tree, hanging with my 2 remaining dogs…my old girl did cross the Rainbow Bridge + I miss her immensely. I was so laser focused on her before XMAS, that I never did a tree. I’m praying Rudy (Yorkie w/ heart problem + collapsed trachea) makes it beyond the end of Feb. I don’t want a Will Ferrell Trifecta (losing 3 dogs in a calendar year…)
Last VACA: long time ago, when my mother was alive + could tend to the pups. 4 was far too expensive to kennel. Visited a friend in DC, SE, a great multiethnic community. Saw a Smithsonian cultural festival, visited some of their museums, hung in Adams Morgan, AND went to a very well attended ARBA (rare breed) dog show. Saw some breeds I had never seen in the flesh before. All in a long weekend! My God! That was 20 years ago!
You know, growing up, the major traditions we did were the big dinner/some traditional food fare, red envelopes (receiving), wishing good things to parents and elders, and cleaning the house and yourself (shower before midnight!). But I don’t remember any like… cleaning rampage, so it isn’t too bad! 🙂
I believe that at least one that went out via email had less restrictions, but a lot of them were similar. My guess that part of it is they restrict more to ANYONE vs. people who have given them their email + info. The other is they do like to track sources – e.g. was email marketing most successful, Facebook, affiliates, etc.
I fully think you should put up a winter tree – something to do that should be fun and serve as a distraction as well.
Haul: Nothing, but I’m *finally* going to pull the trigger and put in my NARS order! Kauai is finally available, and sitting in my bag. This will likely be my final haul for a while, since I have to start saving for my annual Disneyland trip.
Plans: Placing my NARS order, hitting the mall (I have a 20% ULTA coupon), and maybe Big Lots.
Vacation: I live in L.A., but we stay out in Anaheim a few days & hit Disneyland 2 days, so although it’s fairly local, I still consider it a vacation!

I picked up Kauai yesterday and it’s everything Christine said and more! I applied as soon as I got home (even though I was exhausted and was staying in all on my lonesome) and I even wore it to the gym this morning (silly, I know) just because I wanted to “experience” it again. I might be going out for coffee with a former neighbour who is in town and I’m gonna put it on again! You won’t regret it!
I’m actually hitting Sephora tomorrow, so I’m going to *try* to get it in-store since I don’t want to wait another week, LOL! I also want China Seas, and I’m going to attempt Christine’s eye look with the 2 duos!
I’ve been putting off picking up UD Maui Wowie, so I’m glad the gold in Kauai is a dupe. I can never bring myself to buy UD singles, and MW is pretty much the only shade I want not in a palette!
I don’t mind buying the singles if the shadow itself is worth having (which is why I got Snare – it a beauty) but I’ve got 2 MWs (will I ever learn?) because I so wanted ONE that would work. They don’t unless you like the look of glitter where you didn’t intend it to be. But with Kauai – beauty with no beast!
Haul: Revlon Lacquer Balms in Demure, Coy and Tease. MAC Snapdragon, Dreaming Dahlia, Naked Bud, Fleur D’Coral, Phlox Garden, Sassy Moss, a new pro palette with Nylon and Omega. Way more than I had expected!
Weekend plans: My father is coming on Sunday so my weekend will consist of cleaning and making sure I get him a nice meal on Sunday.
Last place you went to for a vacation?: It has sadly been a while! I last went to Oklahoma to visit my grandparents.

Haul: I went to Ulta last week with some Christmas money and I bought..Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Catfight, Benefit The Porefessional primer, and Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in Natural Beauty. I also got the Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous Foundation 3 in 1, Revlon lacquer balm in Vivacious, Revlon Balm Stain in Romantic, Nyx Brow Powder in Blonde, Real Techniques Starter Set, and an Ulta brand beauty blender. So far, I am really pleased with all of my purchases.
Weekend plans: Date night with my boyfriend tonight, not going anywhere fancy but I’m still going to try out a new make-up look and dress up a little.
Most recent vacation: Pittsburgh for 4th of July weekend to visit friends. I didn’t know anything about the city before going and we had an amazing time. If you like to eat and drink, you’ll enjoy Pittsburgh.

Haul: Got my order from Sephora yesterday! Hourglass Ambient Lighting blush in Radiant Magenta and Diffused Heat. They are gorgeous.I love them both so much!! And YSL Gloss Volupte in Grenade Pepite, looks pretty but I haven’t tried it yet.
Weekend Plans: None really, need to do some decluttering for a upcoming move. We’ll probably go to a restaurant, cause Mama don’t cook on the weekend!
Last Vacation:We went to Baltimore/DC to visit family for the holidays.

Weekend plans: Hopefully going out to lunch with the husband and then just errands, sadly.
Last vacation: Rome on my honeymoon, two years ago! I am desperately in need of a break.

Finally got to buy the MAC Magnetic Nude Extra Dimension Skinfinishes in “Fairly Precious” and “Magnetic Appeal,” and I couldn’t be happier! I could wear those two everyday and I’d be all set without no need for blush + highlighter + bronzer application, since they pretty much work as those three. I wanted to get “Superb” as you had recommended before, but unfortunately I don’t think MAC Philippines imported that shade (or I could’ve misunderstood and they would just be getting the shipment late—I’d have to clarify). I really hope I get my hands on the “Superb” skinfinish. 🙁
I also restocked my MAC Eye Brows in Lingering. It sucks how they pack so little product into that pencil!

Haul: MAC At Dusk for myself, which I am really loving! I wanted a neutral pink that wouldn’t compete with bolder eye and lip looks, and it’s absolutely perfect on my skin tone! I also bought Viva Glam VI lipgloss for my cousin as a gift for her 18th birthday. I’d like to get her another MAC item, just not sure which! I thought a Pearl glide eyeliner but when I looked online I discovered they’re yet ANOTHER item not available in Australia!
Weekend plans: need to knock some serious study out!
Last vacation: I went down to my in laws holiday house in Jan, I love it there, I never want to leave!
