Weekend Plans – its hardly 10 days left for anmol’s b’day 😀 more then us he is excited as this is the first time we are celebrating in Bangalore … all SPIDERMAN stuff arrived 2 days back , need to order the cake this weekend 😀
Candles : noooo , not fond of 🙂 may be when we shift to our own den i will decorate my house , right now we have to shift every two – three yrs … I am tiredddddd now

Haul: L’Oreal nail polish in Stroke of Midnight, Greyt Expectations (or Eiffel for You? One of the taupe-y grey ones). I really like the look of the new Maybelline The Buff nudes collection (especially 910 and 915), but I’m waiting for swatches to see if they’re neutral enough for my skin tone. So many of those beige-y nudes pull warm on me!
Weekend Plans: Ugly sweater party on Saturday and Christmas shopping.
Do you use candles? Occasionally. Generally, when you live in an area with a lot of heavy precipitation year around (rain/snow/gambit), candles are a must. The electricity going out at some point is just a given.
How ugly is your sweater for the party? 😉
LOL, I don’t have one yet. I’ll have to hit Goodwill and see if they have anything. It not originally a party I was invited to, but my roommate wanted a friend to go with her in case she needed a DD, and I offered. Who’d have thought you have to go out of your way to dress down for a party… 😛
Haha! I hope you’ll let me know just how successful you are in tracking down a particularly horrid sweater!
We found one with a dead-eyed teddy bear surrounded by poinsettia, haha. It was pretty great. Still not as good as the one my coworker wore in last year – it actually has Christmas lights sewn into it that lit up under battery power!

Haul: bought some Christmas gifts: UD Naked 2 palette for the sis’, and Chanel Rouge Rubis for my mother.
Weekend plans: enjoy being back home, wrapping up the last Christmas gifts, and try to work a bit.
Do you use candles?: not really, but I should try more! Incidentally, I was considering purchasing some scented candles for my sister as a side-gift.

Benefit haul this week!! Coral My World set (mini Sunbeam and mini CORALista) Hot To Trot set (fullsize Bella Bamba and mini Chachatint) Goodtime Gals set (mini Poisetint, mini Girl Meets Pearl, and mini That Gal). Myself and my little cousins went in together on the online order, they got an Instant Eyebrow Pencil each, plus one got a Brow Zings kit 🙂 we got heaps of samples and sachets too, most of which I’ve tried already or own (Benetint, the Porefessional, Stay Don’t Stray) so they’ll have fun trying those out! I’m keeping the BADgal Lash mini though 😉
We’re heading down to the holiday house tomorrow!! Here’s hoping for some hot Aussie weather so I can hit the beach 😉
Actually I don’t really use candles, my mum didn’t allow them in the house so I’ve just never bothered with them. I did get a gift voucher for a candle store for Christmas, so I may have to pick up some tea light holders!

Haul: Kat Von D Spellbinding Eyeshadow Palette and Essence beauty beats shimmer powder… I’m not a Belieber not a by a long shot but i’m a fan of Esence face powders they put out in their limited edition collections.
Weekend plans: Going to my family home tonight to spend the week with them and doing 3 Christmas’s. 😉
Do you use candles?: Yes but mostly in the fall for some reason. I like burning a candle when reading.

What to do this weekend? I’m going for an early Christmas celebration with my secondary school mates, we haven’t been catching up for long!! and YSL here is launching some of the Spring 2014 collections on weekend so I think I can pick up some gifts for my girlfriends 🙂 of course, before all these, I need to finish some work so to have a really relaxing Christmas next week…
Candles? No, I think people here in Singapore rarely use candles, although now is getting more popular.

Haul: Nothing beauty related this week (shocking!!!) But I did get the iPhone 5s for my birthday, so that’s exciting 🙂
Weekend plans: SLEEP! I had such a tiring week.. I can’t not wait to rest up. I’m hoping to go to the gym Sunday and go for a swim… got in the mood even though it’s just about FREEZING here (NJ)
Candles: Used to be BIG into them… haven’t used them in so long but just 2-3 weeks ago I placed a HUGE order at Bath and Body Works and I have been using them ever since. I am OBSESSED with Champagne Toast… MMM . It’s on now 🙂

Haul: Coastal Scents Revealed Palette, it was double discounted so I said “why not?”
Trying to hold off to get two items from the MAC releases after Christmas.
Weekend plans: Packing! I am spending the holiday week with my family, so I have cram my life in a suitcase LOL
Do you use candles?: All of the time. I love the Bath and Body Works ones but I would have to say the best brand, IMO, is Tyler Candles. They have amazing oils/tarts too. I really like the scents by them, Orange Vanilla and Fleur De Lis.
I’ve never heard of Tyler Candles (or I don’t remember)! Now I need to go check 🙂

■Haul: NARS Radiant Tinted Moisturizer (pour moi) and a L’Occitane hand cream trio that I’m gifting my bf’s mom.
■Weekend plans: Doing my hair and going to my bf’s hoilday work party tomorrow. Sunday I just want to lounge, maybe do some shopping with my cousin.
■Do you use candles?: I’d like to but I find them kind of expensive! Funny, considering how I pay $70 for a 1oz. foundation without batting an eyelash.

I haven’t gotten anything new this week. I got my Sugarpill stuff last week, so… but I did try it out this week so that’s like new to me. 😛 Well, I did get new pants since mine broke while being out and about, hahaha. As far I know, I don’t have any weekend plans, aaaaaaand I don’t use candles!

Haul: Sugar Pill eyeshadows in Midori, Mochi, and Love+ , The Balm blush in Toile, Philosophy shampoo/body wash in Hot Buttered Rum, The Body Shop lotion in Apple Blossom, Zoya polish in Carter, NYX lip gloss in Cosmic, OPI polish in Pure, and Elegant Touch nail art kit.
Plans: Cleaning the house for Christmas Eve and Christmas. Just my immediate family and my sister’s mother-in-law, who just lost her older brother two days ago and lost her husband earlier this year. She’s not easy to shop for because, just like her son, she just buys what she wants. I’m going to make her a bag of chocolates in the shapes of the TARDIS and Daleks so she can enjoy them while watching the Doctor Who Christmas special.
Candles: I used to allllll the time. Loved how they looked at night while I studied. I still buy candles, but my hubby steals them and takes them to work.
I’m glad that your sister’s MIL will be with you and family for the holidays! I am sure it is really hard after losing not just one but two loved ones in the same year.

Do you use candles?: Yes, but right now I am also more into wax tarts 🙂 I love everything that smells purrty!

Haul: (Using the $20 off of $50 at Sephora) I bought a Korres Lip Butter in Jasmine for my bf’s mom, a new Kate Somerville Detox Daily Cleanser (love this stuff), and a little sampler of Living Proof Hair products (Full Shampoo, Conditioner & Styling Cream and the Prime Style Extender). I used the Prime Style Extender and really liked it. It brought out the waves in my hair and I just let it air dry :). I’m waiting to use the other stuff when I travel up to the Bay Area for New Years.
Weekend Plans: Going down to Long Beach to spend time with the bf’s family.
Do You Use Candles: All the time! Mostly Bath and Body Works Candles (my favorites are Marshmallow Fireside and Leaves), but I also love some from Anthropologie (the Illume brand Boulangerie line has an amazing Banana Cream one, and the Good Nature Tin line has my favorite spring/summer candle, Avocado & Mint).
What does Leaves smell like, Rachel?
Haul: nothing this week – I’ve been so busy at school and so exhausted afterward that I have just come home and collapsed (we cooked 24 turkeys in 2 days to provide to the school Xmas lunch that was yesterday – great fun but absolutely shatteringly tiring!). Add to that kids who are desperate to hand in work at the last minute (“Puh-leeeze, Miss – I know this was due in October but will you still mark it?”) and the mountain of marking I have to do and this has been a no shopping week but I think I will deserve an awesome splurge in a week or so…
Weekend plans: younger son will be home, I need to do some of the last minute grocery shopping and prep for Christmas day brunch and for Boxing Day family meal (22 people!). I am hoping to get either to the gym or to yoga or maybe both or even just get some decent rest!
Do you use candles: very rarely. I always worry about how easily it is to have a fire start when candles are burning.

You know I used to be subtle with that , If it was marked for that day is marked for that day no exception unless they have a legitimate reason. why? cause you will do it the whole year if you don’t stop it on time. Kids tell the other kids ( students) that the teacher was so nice to mark it even it was due time.so u will mark not just a few due time home work/paper/assignment but allot. If is an exemplar student that always hand his/her work on time come to classes and attend them ( just not sitting there) I can be flexible but those that don’t do anything the whole year no . We mark here from 1 till 10, 1 is the worst like a D for you and 10 is a A+
So not hand it on time is legitimate D= 1 or extra work to compensate it , and I mean extra work, to teach them for once and all responsibility .
The Ministry of Education where I am has actually said that there are no longer such things as due dates and kids can hand stuff in whenever….like, literally, WHENEVER!!! It’s the most lame-brained thing because it’s totally not reflective of the real world. In Alberta (I think) a teacher was actually fired for giving a kid a ZERO because it was a violation of the board of ed’s policy. There was a huge hue and cry and I believe the teacher (a very senior guy) was reinstated.
Haul: MAC Taupe Shape, Myth, Philip B Maui Wowie Beach Mist.
Weekend plans: My parents are in the state so we’ll go to dinner on Sunday with the present exchange. Last minute shopping on Saturday.
Do you use candles?: I love candles and incense. Though I do buy more incense over candles. I’ve got a strong desire to overload my fireplace mantle with candles lately. I used them more when I still lived in a colder climate.

Haul: I’m so screwed – I just got my first Tom Ford lipstick (Indian Rose) and it is gorgeously amazingly beautiful. *argh! must resist buying more $50 lipsticks*
Weekend plans: Having some girlfriends over for mulled wine (one of my favorite drinks ever, and I’m not even a drinker). Going to have poached pears, baked brie, bacon-wrapped dates and potatoes, tarte flambée, and marzipan cake to go with it.
Do you use candles? No, never, I’m afraid of them. My friend got me a really beautiful smelling rose candle for my bridal shower, and we used it once when the power went out. I was under adult supervision (my husband).
