- How’s your handwriting?: Horrific. I never had really great handwriting, but it was more than passable; now, with hardly writing at all, it’s quite messy and the style is inconsistent.

How’s your handwriting?: Horrific as well. When I got into high school other than my own cliff notes everything was typed up on computer.
I’m also have NO Touch typing skills, I look at my keyboard while typing.
I can’t even imagine having to write out essays any more, LOL!

Haul: L’Oreal FINALLY had a 40% off sale at Rite Aid (that is still going on)
I picked up: brow stylist eye brow pencil and brow gel, most of the mono shadows (though the texture is nice it creases on my oily eye lid even with a primer), the infallible eye liner (wish it was waterproof), the telescopic mascara (this one is amazing!), true match concealer pencil, Soft Lips Hello Kitty lip balms, The Minnie Tsum Tsum Lip Smacker (such a sucker for cute packaging)
Thinking about stopping in at Kiko on Sunday when I drop off my sister back at school 😡
Weekend plans: Going to museums with my sisters!
How’s your handwriting?: I write really big and bubbly. All my letters are pretty close together. People at work like to make fun of me and say that I write in hyroglifics. haha
I am loving it in my new neighborhood! 🙂 I hope I never take the view for granted.

I have found Kiko’s Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow to be excellent. It’s the only one that never creases on my lids!
Haul: Anastasia’s Glow Kit in That Glow. I was surprised at how large the palette was! Last week, when I got my M.A.C. Flamingo order, I was shocked at how small the eye shadow palette was, so these two purchases balance each other out, lol. BTW, I am surprised at how much I am enjoying the M.A.C. Flamingo Park eye shadow palette. At first glance, I thought, “What am I going to do with these colors?” But everyday this week I’ve kept thinking up a new look and they have all been nice.
Weekend plans: I have a nasty cold and I am going to spend the weekend on the couch.
My handwriting is okay. I home schooled all four of my children all the way through, so I had lots of time to practice when I taught them cursive.
It is a big palette! I think the ABH palette is a nice value. And they can be used for eyes or cheeks! 😀
Haul: Nada. This no-buy is no-fun.
Weekend plans: Haircut tomorrow, and if I don’t chicken out I am getting bangs for the first time since 2nd grade! The husband and I are having dinner at an Italian place we’ve never tried before for on Sunday ❤️

I do have much more significant of an issue in the eye area though so the transformation is a little more dramatic than I would expect for someone young such as you. Still.. I think it is a really good product 😀

90°??? Oh no!!! All my summer clothing is put away! Then again, AZ weather is totally whacked, we’ve had super deep chills with nearby (Carefree/Cave Creek) snow in late March, early April!
Oh, wow!! The weather here as been crazy warm. I mean, from my understanding, it is not usually THIS warm. I don’t think my area has hit 90 degrees yet, though mid-80s. I read this morning that 90 might be a real possibility today. I don’t mind 80s – creeping into 90s in February is a lil’ unexpected, lol!
It’s extremely unusual having this sort of heat in February! In 13 years, I cannot recall this happening. Sometimes a super warm spell in late March or April, but not February. Well, it at least drove me out of the house and into the park on Sunday, and I never sit in parks during “winter”! So relaxing watching ducks and geese, and that lake! Needed it more than I can say.
True! The one thing I’ve noticed about living here is a stronger desire to get out of the house and be outdoors.

haul: I got my first birchbox and ipsy (ordered them both just to try it) … obviously I got a bunch of stuff but the most exciting was from birchbox, a mini occ lip tar in strumpet. Haul: Doing pretty good on my low-buy. The only cosmetics I’ve bought since Jan 1 are a refill of my Nars Radiant Concealer and the Nivea Men’s Post Shave Balm stuff that is being touted as a good primer. It’s okay. I’m fine using it because it’s like a light lotion and I have dry skin–won’t say no to extra hydration–and it feels cooling. It does not appear to make my makeup look any smoother, or dewier, or to prolong its wear.
Weekend plans: Seeing 2oolander lol. And probably binge-watching as well–it’s supposed to be single digits in the Northeast.
Handwriting: I’ve always had sloppy handwriting. If I want it to look decent I have to print in all caps. My “natural” handwriting is an inconsistent mixture of cursive and lowercase print. I was always jealous of other school kids who had those neat, round letters that were all the same size and went in a straight line. Maybe they just operated at a steady pace? I feel like my hand is rushing to get my thoughts out before I forget them.

I really like my IT brushes. I think the only IT brush I didn’t care for was the velour contour brush. I haven’t tried the fan brush though. Use it for highlighter?
Yes, love my IT Brushes! So glad ULTA has been carrying them, so I can get 20% off with platinum coupon. It’s my first fan brush, so I don’t have anything else to compare it to, but it applies highlighters nicely and subtly and it’s reasonably priced, so I got a second one. I haven’t tried it for anything else yet, but ULTA reviewers have also used it for blush, setting powder, and eyeshadow fall out

Handwriting: always my low grade in ES. More to the current point on handwriting: public schools are largely abandoning its instruction. Cursive, that is. Some are teaching signature only. Most are giving up cursive altogether. Guess they think a signature will be a chip and a fingerprint. I have mixed feelings about this, but my inner Luddite says that we are giving in to technology-driven ideas. I’m not sure I think it’s a good idea. Do we need to spell? To read? I guess I hate the abandonment of a skill that took the evolution of humanity to develop.
If we need to refocus his attention, it’s easy to do 🙂 Much better than a harness/flat collar for us. He’s pretty good on a walk, but you can’t always control the behavior of off-leash dogs, aggressive dogs, or overzealous children (he’s actually quite gentle with kids, but we have had kids come and pull his tail, which has so far only startled him, thankfully!).

I think it’s odd that schools are abandoning cursive, too. I can see why cursive could be considered overly confusing for kids who are still learning how to read, or an unnecessary skill that most adults don’t really need, but so is higher math. We still teach higher math because we need *some* people to go into careers that use it. I would think we still need to raise historians and researchers who understand cursive. Maybe cursive can be taught quickly as part of a college course. I still think it’s sad in a way that say, we take our school children to Washington DC (a popular trip on the East Coast) and they won’t be able to read the original Declaration of Independence or anything in the National Archives. Or what if a 21 yr old gets an admin job and has to type notes for an older boss who writes in cursive? Cursive isn’t “dead” yet.
But school curriculum changes so often nowadays, cursive might come back in a few years.

Weekend plans: Just my hair blowout, and I had better do my nails as this mani lasted nearly 2 whole weeks! And with only minor tip wear, but a noticeable gap up by the cuticle. Gonna try to get outside and just breathe. This week was literally the worst.

It’s this stuff I pick up in Walmart in the nail products area called Gel Express Harder Nails by Nail-Aid 3 Minute Artficials. Used to just be called Nail-Aid 3 Minute Artificials. Neon pink and black packaging. But I also use a coat of European Secrets Rock Hard, and gently rough up my nail surface with a fine-med nail board. Then again, the OPI polish I had on usually lasts at least a week, it’s Gwen Stefani’s I Sing In Color.

Haul: Colourpop Ultra Matte Drive-In and Succulent Liquid Lipsticks, Colourpop Cruel Intentions Blush, La Roche Posay Toleraine Fluid and Efflaclar Duo.
I finally picked up the liquid lipsticks after dawdling over them for ever, and I found out, liquid lipsticks are not my thing. 😐 The colours are both fantastic but I think my lips are very textured so they dont look good? There are so many lines! Either way, it’s been bit of a learning curve. On the other hand, I am completely in love with the blush. So good!
Weekend Plans: Going to watch Deadpool tomorrow (I’m so excited for it and I want it to be good) and take my Mom out on Sunday.
How’s your handwriting?: Pretty decent and readable. Though I normally write in a right-slanting cursive, I can switch my handwriting up as the mood wills, which is pretty cool.

I’m glad you checked out the liquid lipsticks and at least could find out liquid lipsticks aren’t your thing (without spending $20+ per shade!).
Haul: Still waiting for Honeymoon to come in, a few Makeup Geek orders and my Allure Beauty Box that has been delivered but not in my possession yet (I have everything delivered to my work now and they don’t check the mailbox everyday). Other than that, I think I am entering a lull for a while. I’ve seen the MAC Zac Posen, Futuristic, and Poesia previews and will be passing. I’m actually relieved – it takes me a while to warm up to using anything new and pristine so it’ll be nice to take a break and play with all that I’ve bought since like November, ha. The only other brand(s) that will have me considering are UD’s Naked ‘5’, any other Makeup Forever palettes, any new Guerlain Meteorites and anything Tom Ford.
Weekend plans: I’m cleaning the house today (I have the day off) but other than that, laying low, maybe dinner or brunch with friends. Cooking for the week on Sunday since I’ve started going to the gym again.
How’s your handwriting: Crap. I have a doctor’s prescription pad writing. It used to be pretty and consistent and legible when I wrote more often and there wasn’t digital everything, but anymore I’m just scribbling on post it notes. When I’ve actually sat down to write lists or anything else, usually the first 2 versions end up being rough drafts and thrown away because they’re so disorganized and illegible. I have to type or write out what I plan to say on scratch paper first for cards so I don’t ruin the card.
I’m going to be waiting a long time for Honeymoon to come in – I just spoke with a Neiman Marcus sa and asked her when the re-stocking and shipping would be and she said August 8th! I checked the TF site and the only store that has it is in Beverly Hills – I called and asked them if they would take phone orders and she said they only had 1 in stock and it was on hold. She said she expected more in soon and I gave her my information, but I’m not holding my breath. At least it will get here just in time for Fall, woo hooo!
Well, anything Tom Ford will certainly keep your wallet busy 😉 Hopefully summer/fall collections are quite as extensive as spring. I have always liked the more edited launches of brands like TF!

How’s your handwriting?: Terrible! Though I can’t really write by hand because of health stuff so aside from my signature I haven’t seen my handwriting in a few years.

He doesn’t unless a dog comes up to him, and occasionally, he will get excited if he sees another dog across the street, though not consistently. He walks in a good heel (not perfect, he should probably lag behind by an inch or two). We’ve just had too many situations of dogs off-leash, kids running down a driveway, and various distracts that we can’t control as much that it’s safer and easier for Mellan and us. It’s sooo much better than a flat collar (the dog is strong, lol), which he’d just pull into more.
Haul: First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Hydra-Firm Sleeping Cream for my Jurassic Era skin. Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Concealer in R20. Also ordered my Valentine’s Day gift (to Me- from my Dogs! *grin*) of Jurlique’s Rosewater Balancing Mist Intense and Buxom’s “Pink With Envy” collection of six mini lip glosses.
Weekend Plans: Bird Sit my BFF’s parrot while she vacays with her hubby in Yosemite. Also try to get a piece in oil started for an upcoming art contest. I may be procrastinating because it’s supposed to be a self-portrait. Hopefully that new Sleeping Cream is starting to kick in a little, LOL!
Handwriting: Used to be almost graceful and readable. Now looks rather like a Jackson Pollack painting done with Bic pen.
How’s the MUFE concealer? I’ve heard good things!
That’s not something you hear often: bird sitting! Hopefully that was fun 😉
The MUFE concealer is doing great…once I figured out how to apply it. I like that it doesn’t settle in the fine lines after being worn a while, like the stiff cream concealers I wore previously.
It really does brighten up my eye area nicely. I have had dark circles ever since I was in my 20s. (a long, LONG time ago). I’m ordering the companion MUFE golden shade of this product to balance that bruise-y purple of my under-eye bags, so hopefully the combination will make my eyes look even more alert and rested… and (fingers crossed) a bit younger!
And the Bird Sitting weekend WAS funl. I brought the ‘Boo Bird” some roasted almond, chia, and flax seed squares (“Clean Eating Snacks) as a treat and she said “Thank You!” and “You’re such a GOOD Bird!”.*smile*
Haul: Nothing I was going to haul last week but my husband called me to yell at me about how much I was spending at Starbucks. I was not buying it and I told him to check again. Turns out he’d been buying it and not on his corporate card like he thought he was. So he spent a lot of money that his job was supposed to cover while he was away. Even though it wasn’t my spending, I’m still on money lockdown because he’d taken a sizable chunk of my operating capital by not paying attention in the AM. Normally, I’d buy something anyhow but he’d burned through quite a lot so there is 0 wiggle room.
Weekend plans: Right now, nothing! I was going to go out to eat and shop at the mall but I can’t thanks to Mr.Wrong Visa For Two Weeks.
Hand writing: Used to be great and now it’s not as good cause I type everything!
Oh, no! I’m glad you were able to sort it out with your husband that it wasn’t you! Hopefully everything gets put back to rights so you can get yourself something new soon 🙂

Weekend plans: helping my son and daughter in law with their new baby. The baby was born two weeks ago, but my daughter in law developed a uterine infection (very bad, very serious) and had to be rushed back to hospital. So we have had the two year old living at our place for the week. She is now better and out of hospital, so I am cleaning our house up and will cook some meals for them. A very hectic week.

Just checked the weather update and it will be 10 to 18 degrees below zero with the wind chill tomorrow. I can’t wait for spring so I can do some park walking.

Weekend plans: My husband and I will be celebrating our 19th anniversary this weekend. Yes, our first ceremony was on Valentine’s Day — his decision! Our second ceremony (we married each other twice in the same year, in two different states with two different groups of people) is in September.
How’s your handwriting?: My handwriting used to be horrible up until some point in high school. Then I decided that I wanted to actively work on it and spent hours perfecting both my print and cursive. Now, I can write beautifully (and with fountain/calligraphy pens) when I want to… but I can also scribble out something that resembles that of a doctor. 😉

Oh no, haha, I have seen this series all the way through probably a dozen times at least! I will say that I did not watch 85% of it “live” – reruns on WB (now CW) at dinner time. Pre-DVR, it was harder to catch live with my parents around, LOL! It is my all-time favorite TV show 🙂 This IS the first I’ve watched it in four or five years, though, so it is interesting to go through it sequentially now.
Just got through Valerie joining the show, Kelly getting out of the cult and about to watch Dylan relive his past life with Kelly!
Haul: Deborah Lippmann Gel Lab Pro base & top coat set and polish in shade ‘Get Lucky’. Love the color. It was easy to apply and lasted longer than polish usually lasts on me, and was easy to remove; I plan to try at least one more color. Also Collagen Serum, Bright-I cream, and Vitamin A cream from Skin Actives (plus a free sample of their lip balm) — all the products seem really nice, although jar packaging of two of the products is less than ideal; however, the prices are excellent and the ingredients well thought-out, so only time will tell how effective they are. At least they are completely non-irritating — I can even use them on my eyelids without irritation! Also, from Silk Naturals, 8% AHA Toner, Eye Lash Gel, and Smooth & Full Black Label Lip Treatment; all also non-irritating; I’ve used the lip treatment for years and really like it — the other two products I’m trying for the first time.
Weekend plans: stay out of the cold as much as possible — we’re getting extreme cold weather here! Actually, I will put on my long underwear, wool socks, insulated hiking boots, jeans, windproof overpants, turtleneck top, cashmere sweater, down parka with fake-fur trimmed hood that keeps the wind off my face, wool hat and scarf, silk glove liners + Thinsulate-lined leather gloves, and go for a walk. That’s what I did yesterday and I was quite comfortable. Then come home and bake cookies (probably oatmeal with coconut & pecans) to help keep the apartment warm!
My handwriting isn’t quite as good as it used to be, but actually it’s quite legible. Classmates used to photocopy my notes to study from (back in the 1970s, before computers!)
I was using a Deborah Lippmann polish over the holidays, and I was reminded at how lovely her formula is!

Weekend Plans: Tickets to the symphony. It’s going to be really cold with a nasty windchill, so will be staying inside except for the symphony. We started watching ‘Better Call Saul” and are just addicted to it, so finishing Season 1 this weekend.
Handwriting: My handwriting is legible – most can read it. I love seeing beautiful handwriting. I find it hard to type using a cell phone, or a tablet as efficiently a laptop. May pick up a keyboard for mobile devices.

A great box, will use everything!

Plans for weekend: Going out on Sat night as it’s cheaper and easier to get a table while my fiance’s mum babysits.
How’s my handwriting? I get complimented on my writing but I have to take my time over it and sit down properly to have a nice even result lol.

Weekend plans: Today we celebrated my little brother’s birthday, a few days ahead because he’s going to Germany. Tomorrow I’m going to see Deadpool with my boyfriend for valentines 😀
How’s your handwriting?: Terrible lol. Always been! Super messy and inconsistent as well, who has time to put effort into it anyway! I have better ways to spend my time! I can actually write in cursive though.
