favorite food to cook-I love to make tostadas, and I also like to try new, and creative, vegetarian recipes
What’s your favorite vegetarian dish/recipe?
My favorite one for myself is a salad: I always have a lot of juicy ripe tomatoes in my garden and mint, so I combine them along with Feta cheese and cucumbers sliced, and top it with a fresh squeezed lemon- in the summer I can make enough to last a week. My daughter loves my Caprese salad topped with lemon infused olive oil. We also love to make tofu with peanut sauce. I am always open to new recipes-I’m not a great chef-except when it comes to Mexican-I rock!-but I really enjoy experimenting with new foods from other countries. Our absolute favorite food, that my whole family agrees on, are Summer rolls(vegetarian style)-unfortunately, I haven’t mastered the art of these- we have to go to a good restaurant for them.
Last makeup I got was MAC Please Me. This weekend I might get another lipstick… I finally got around to using the quinoa we had luring around, and cooked my favorite food- bhindi sabzi.
What lipstick are you thinking of?
Probably something in the MAC line, maybe one of their browns. But I saw Shiseido lipsticks at a chemist’s here advertised for a lower than usual price. I’ve been curious to try one since your review of Fuchsia (I checked the review and it was six months ago, so I might just buy one since I’ve wanted it that long).
I’m kind of amazed that Mellan sits still long enough to get clear photos of. My sister’s dog can only be photographed if you sneak up on him, and even then he’s usually a blur.

■What’s your favorite food to cook?: I’m working on more “clean eating” so I am enjoying my new healthier recipes. Last week I made black bean and sweet potato quesadillas. They were delish!

After the awesome BB cream post I am now looking to buy either a foundation or a BB. Have stopped at my local department store and picked up samples of Armani Luminous Silk, Designer Lift and BB Extra Repair foundation, Hopefully one will fit, if not it’s BB Skin79 time!

Weekend Plans: Organizing the bedroom. It’s due for some furniture rearranging and then I’ll organize the closet to get things off the shelves. Sunday will hopefully be quiet!
What’s your favorite food to cook? Mushroom anything. I was enjoying a mushroom orzo recipe through the winter. Lately, potatoes and mushrooms with dill, parsley, shallots, and a little lemon.
Haul: I’ve been having a bit of an Illamasqua craze lately – but their customer service sucks, I’m still waiting for a package from January! The package I did yesterday get had Freckle nail polish, Seduce cream blusher and their lash and brow gel.
Weekend plans: should be resting, but i’ll be studying :/
What’s your favorite food to cook?: Chilly con Carne, but it’s tons of work, so lately I just like chucking some vegetables into the oven with different spices and see how it goes.
Wow. I’m sorry to hear their customer service is treating you poorly. A year and a half ago, I bought two powder foundations from them and had it shipped to the USA. Well, once powder just broke all apart and became a loose powder basically. I contacted them and they sent me a replacement free of charge. I just had to show them the pictures of the damage. Maybe they have a new person working customer service. Either way, I hope your problem gets resolved quickly and with a good outcome.
Haul: Nothing. I’m trying to save my money, though I need to buy a few lip balms since my lips are severely dry and chapped.
Weekend plans: Driving up to Milwaukee in order to perform in a debutante ball.
What’s your favorite food to cook?: I can cook almost anything if I have the recipe and ingredients for it. However, my particular favorite things to cook are sauces, adding spices to food, and pan-frying foods.
Haul: Omg what DIDN’T I buy this week!? If you count last Friday’s Sedona Lace order then:
-Sedona Lace 7 piece midnight lace set and one of the angled face midnight lace brushes (either 520 or 502…something like that)
-Too Faced la creme lip color in Naughty Nude (so pretty)
-Tarte complexion set (that comes with concealer, finishing powder, concealer brush and maracuja oil)
-Tarte amazonian clay eyebrow gel or mousse (comes with brush–really nice) the Tarte order also came with samples–eye primer and brazilliance tanner
-Urban Decay Naked 2 (wanted for long time and finally just sucked up the price and bought it)
-Urban Decay triple threat 24/7 eyeliner set with rockstar, demolition and zero
-Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation in 3.5 (anyone interested in this I’d say go a shade or two darker than you think–I tested it out at Sephora and I probably could’ve even went with 4 and I would say I’m light to medium) BTW I love this stuff so far

It’s possible I forgot something but this is what I can remember. Kinda went on a binge and now I have to be realllll good cause my fiancee I am moved in together a few weeks ago and I need to start saving more. ☢ Haul: Maybelline vivids with vivid rose and shocking coral being my personal favs. Terrific formula. I also picked up the electric orange shade and–rolls eyes–why oh why do I keep buying orange lipstick? UD 24/7 Pencils in some of the new shades and also a few backups of discontinued. Hourglass Ambient powder in Dim Light. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out which shade to purchase and happily I nailed the right one. MAC Embrace Me fashion set and my usual truckload of nail polish–slight exaggeration.
☢ Weekend Plans: a whole wack of paper work. Business budgets and projections and *cough* taxes. Seriously stimulating and exciting stuff.
☢ Favourite Food to Cook: Do salads qualify as cooking? I love to create interesting salads with different flavours and textures. This week I did a Greek style salad replacing tomatoes for cubed watermelon and it was incredibly refreshing. I also love tossing up a good stir-fry for the same reason.
Haul:
Chanel nail polish in Taboo. It’s space on my nails! Also some cute Hello Kitty Hair combs to stick in my hair. Because I still want to be a pretty princess.
Weekend plans:
My husband and I are getting a Thai massage. I also need to stock up on fancy liquors for the Mad Men premiere on Sunday. Suitable cocktails for TV shows I like.
What’s your favorite food to cook?:
I’m trying to master my dad’s adobo. Nothing has tasted quite right yet, but I will be making announcements once I do. Phone calls, obnoxious Facebook posts, shouting. People will think I’m pregnant with all of that ruckus =p
Haul: Just a few lip butters from Revlon. They look so surprisingly nice on the lips! My favorite is Tutti Frutti 🙂
Weekend plans: Work on Saturday, then a bit of cleaning and gardening on Sunday!
What’s your favorite food to cook?: Pretty much everything. I love cooking and baking. But my specialty is Nutella Chocolate Chip Cookies!
Haul: Loreal Shine Stain in Infinite Fuschia. Really impressed with the lasting power of these. Though the color of this one was a bit darker/less bright than I thought it would be based on the tube color.
Weekend Plans: Nothing planned. Probably watch too much TV and then run to stave off my guilt for sitting for so long. 😛
What’s your favorite food to cook?: Korean soups. Dang just thinking about it is making me hungry.

Nyx Eyeshadow Base White – Thanks to this, you can actually see my eyeshadow on my dark eyelids! Also, it smells like soap which is a win.
Nyx Matte setting spray- haven’t really used this yet
WnW I’m getting sunburned trio – Man. The gold color in this trio is probably my most favorite eyeshadow ever. I think it’s a dupe for Mac Amber Lights.
WnW black gel eyeliner: Not creamy like other gel eyeliners. It actually reminds me of firm shoe polish. But it’s very pigmented, very black, and the brush it comes with isn’t so bad.
WnW Megalast Lipstick in Wine Room: Unfortunately, this looks too light and neon on my NC40-42 skin for some reason. Prob because of my natural lip color.
Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer in SX11: I won’t be getting this till Monday – I’m SO excited! I’ve researched A LOT to find my perfect shade, and I’ve heard so many good things about SSE. I can’t wait to try it.
Weekend plans: I’m going in for my monthly microdermabrasion session. Will most probably play video games, too.
What’s your favorite food to cook? I looove to bake. Brownies, in particular, but I’m trying to do more cookies and cakes.
I stood in a small line outside of the MAC store and purchased Heroine, Ablaze and Embrace Me listicks and glosses. I thought I was in line for concert tickets.
I plan to get some walks in this weekend due to the great weather and do a pre-prom make-up tutorial. My daughter loves my spaghetti and tacos. I plan to do some salmon.

Weekend plans: My old host family’s grandpa is celebrating his 85th birthday tomorrow, and I’m meeting an American friend and her baby who is in town on Sunday 🙂 The last time I saw her it was in New York, and she was like 5-6 months old (now she’s almost 2)!

What’s your favorite food to cook?: Living on a poor university student budget/schedule so unfortunately I don’t have much opportunity to cook. When I DO get the chance however, I enjoy making paella. <3
Haul: I was at the MAC counter at Nordstrom’s at 10am to buy all of the Fashion Sets lipsticks and the SA talked me into getting Silly lipliner. He swatched on his hand Silly lipliner and Ablaze lipstick and it sold me. It looked so pretty and unique. Then over to Sephora to pick up Illamasqua’s LE polish in Speckle (purple one). I used my Ulta coupon and got Essies Van’d Go where has this been all my life? LOVE Oh, and I picked up Sally Hansen in Grey Area. I love that formula, and for three dollars it’s a steal.
Weekend pans: Spring cleaning, especially the car’s inside and out.
Favorite food to cook: Kale and eggs. Fast, green and easy. I call it birds nests and the kids love it even my three year old.
Haul: Nothing yet just ordered MAC In Extra Dimension Zestful, Opalesse, and Triple Impact yesterday morning which hasn’t shipped yet. I really pulled back on what I was going to order from this collection. 😉
Weekend plans: Work on my own projects! Didn’t get any work don last weekend or much during the week. lol I was horrible lazy this week after work.

Weekend Plans – Watching Studio Ghibli movies with a new friend. I just put together an ABJD meet for tomorrow and everyone has a new doll to bring, so it will be awesome! Husband starts his vacation on Sunday and we will watch lots of shows and play lots of games!
Favorite Food to Cook – Crockpot dinners are always good with minimal effort and cleanup. I just perfected how to cook a steak in the oven (Bring steaks to room temp with seasoning. Place in oven and bring the temp up to 400 on bake and flip once during the heating. Then, broil both sides for a couple of minutes.) We don’t own a grill (which would be even tastier), but this is just as good.
Hey Christine, at my local Sephora inside JCPenney (Rancho Cucamonga/Victoria Gardens) a bunch of Illamasqua nail polishes were on sale for $7. I can recall the names I purchased: Baptiste, Radium, & Viridian, & there were at least 7-8 more including Vice. Just wanted to let you know (& readers) because I know you like ’em!
Haul: Nothing this week but SDM has their bonus points redemption this weekend so if I can get there, I’ll probably be buying a lot of stuff
Plans: Shopping for a shower gift for my daughter, trying to get to SDM (see “Haul”) to use up some points; work in the garden; go to yoga
What do you love to cook: I teach food and nutrition so I cook a lot and have always loved cooking. My favourites are appetizers, brunch dishes and desserts – I do love to bake (strawberry shortcake, various types of coffee cakes, Skor Shortbreads and cheesecakes are some stand-bys). Last night, because I had some heavy cream and some strawberries I wanted to use up, I made Eton Mess. Was it EVER GOOD!
Haul: most of my paycheck’s going towards a new straightener. replacement fcs clearly complexion soap, and maybe another l’oreal balm stain, love them for work.
Weekend plans: work.
What’s your favorite food to cook?: cupcakes from scratch. I use Kandee Johnson’s recipe and they are seriously sooo good and a really easy way to impress a guy 🙂
Haul: nothing! Going to Sephora tomorrow to pick up a few new thing- probably will purchase one of the new NARS Satin Lip Pencils (Yu) and an LM Caviar Stick Eye Color in Rose Gold.
Weekend Plans: I’m going to Sephora tomorrow with my cousin/best friend and then out to lunch! Of course I also have a ton of homework to do…
Favorite Thing to Cook: I’m more of a baker than a chef but I do enjoy grilling red peppers with mozzarella on top. Does that even count?
Haul: I bought lots of drugstore sample sizes (shampoo, shower gel, hair products, handcreme) for my trip to a wedding in London next weekend including Essie Mademoiselle nail polish and some cheap waterproof mascaras.
Weekend plans: Visiting my family and seeing the newest member of the family (she is 2 weeks old) and preparing for my trip to England.
What’s your favorite food to cook?: Noodels and veggies cooked in the wok.
Haul: I ordered Heroine, Embrace Me, and Silly from Nordstroma. Heroine is backordered 🙁 but Embrace Me and Silly should be waiting when I get home from work!
Weekend plans: Nothing exciting: spring cleaning and I wanna do a big closet sort and get rid of some stuff I don’t wear.

Haul: MAC Silly. I just happened to stumble across your blog and Intantly I knew I had to follow/pin you… So after I read your reviews on this lippy I bought w confidence. I was at Mac store debating whether I already had this shade or not. Having quite a collection of mac lippys I didn’t want to overbuy…but thanks to you i got it! (you’re my excuse and I’m sticking to it!!) I keep saying i should start a blog if only to make notes to myself as to what I have already at home so I don’t go all zombie at the stores lol.
Weekend plans: feeling geeky and going to watch Jurassic park on 3D with the boyfriend today, spring cleaning tomorrow!!!! (it’s hitting a nice 60degrees here in new York) so I’m starting to put away heavy coats and bringing out springy scarfs yay!
What’s your favorite food to cook?: quesadillas. But I make them healthier: broccoli, spinach, roasted red pepper, grilled chicken, pepper jack cheese. It easy and healthier than usual since instead of toppings I smother beat avocado w a bit of olive oil and lemon juice. Tada!
Haul: Maybelline lip pencil in Clear and Bobbi Brown Moisturizing Cream Compact foundation in Porcelain. I wanted to try Clinique’s, but their lightest shade was still way too dark for me. I generally sit right between Porcelain and Alabaster in BB’s range, so I opted for the darker one to play it safe. Here’s to hoping it works!
Weekend Plans: Hanging out with my sister. She’s moving over a thousand miles away in two weeks. 🙁
What’s your favorite food to cook?: Tofu and vegetable stir fry! Especially in spicy peanut butter sauce. 😀

Haul: Guerlain Terracotta 4 Season bronzer in 03 – Naturel – Brunettes, NARS radiant creamy concealer in Vanilla, NARS lipstick in Dressed to Kill, Hourglass lipstick in Fresco, and I think a couple other things I’ve forgotten about.
Weekend plans: Costco on Saturday, Ikea on Sunday. We need food and furniture in the new house 😀
Fave food to cook: I make a really good chicken soup, also a really good roast chicken. And I like making dairy kugel (it’s a sweet noodle pudding with raisins, cottage cheese, sour cream, eggs, butter, sugar…heavy, but really, really good.)
Haul: A gorgeous strapless green top with stampling of roses, it´s very pretty, and also Mac Betty oh, Oh, Oh believe it or not we still have that collection here and alot of product left lol. A little off topic, but Christine do you happen to know when the date release for International for the new Chanel glossimers would be? Sorry to bother.
Weekend plans: Exams tomorrow and I just finished all the projects for some of my classes that I started and worked on almost without any breaks since last Monday, so you can imagine how tired I am lol 🙁 .
Favorite food: Chicken breast with orange sauce, and pasta with cream or with tomato sauce, it actually tastes good 🙂 .
Haul: Walgreens is having a BOGO 1/2off on some things, so I got a bunch of stuff. I got the Revlon balm stain in “Honey” and a Revlon quad in “Enchanted.” I also got two more L’Oreal gel eyeliners, in Bronze and Black. I’m thrilled with all of it, especially the eyeshadow. The quality is mediocre, but the colors are perfection.
I also, ehem, got a bunch of Easter candy…. yum!
Weekend Plans: Go birdwatching by the river.
Favorite food to cook: Sweet potatoes stuffed with white-beans and kale. It’s easy and it makes me happy. 🙂
